I know there is tons of cool stuff in the home in Oregon, and that ultimately it's going to be amazing going through it all.........Well, boy. I just wish the house was in Tokyo. Course if it was in Tokyo, I'd be cleaning it out to live in it with my elliptical.

You're sweet to offer to help with the house if you lived closer. Remember when I went back to Oregon 2 summers ago (wow, that was fast)? Well, I cleaned out my room. Last year my brother went back and who knows what he did since he's the hoarding type LOL. Neither he nor I are in a situation where we can leave for big chunks of time (who the heck is, right?), so I just can't imagine how anybody is going to be able to sift through the huge storage room FULL of 40 years of stuff. Oh oh oh, panic attack coming along, happy thoughts happy thoughts LOL.

I owe you and Robin an apology for not mentioning her birthday in Haterville ;) . I was just so tired and strung out this morning that I wasn't thinking clearly. I posted a birthday thread for her on the OD because she is quite famous on the forum and I wanted to put it where everyone could see it ;) .

I'm using the Safari browser and I hate it x( . I think smilie activation is most difficult with this browser, but Mozilla won't work for me anymore x(. I can't figure out what the problem is, but it freezes on me and I have to force it to shut down x( .

Aug, don't you have any relatives remaining in Oregon who can help you with the house? What about old friends? I cannot imagine how hard it will be to sort through all of this from half way around the world. {{{{{AUGIE DOGGIE}}}}}. If there is anything I can do to help you -- make phone calls -- anything -- you have but to ask.

Hey! Just stopping by before we head to bed. Chad leaves in the morning for New York so we'll be up about 4:30... of course I'll try to go back to bed until about 7ish, get up to workout, shower, and head out for my normal Saturday duties, animal adoptions!

We went to Chad's youngest baseball game tonight, then out to grab a quick bite to eat, and now back here.

Anyway, was just stopping by to read a little of yesterday's posts but saw you two here so wanted to say hello!

Morning haters!!!

I didn't get my cleaning done last night so I"m off to do it now. Why can't I just be rich enough for a maid? LOL. So I have laundry going right now.

It is so stiffling hot/humid here. I went outside to have my coffee and wow, that humidity really got to me. Our backyard borders a field and the farmer that owns it baled (or is it bailed???) the hay and there are HUGE bales just sitting here and there. And the bales are wrapped in this white string/thread. I was watching this bird - it was rather comical. It had this large piece of string in its beak and it would fly, only to go nowhere b/c the string was still attached to the bale. This went on for a good 10 minutes, then another bird came to help. The two of them didn't get anywhere and they finally must've said to one another, the heck with this b/c they flew away. It was cute!!!! Although they were probably getting frustrated.

I highly doubt I'll be getting in a workout today. DH went to the races last night so it is just me and the boys and Lord knows that I can't workout while they're home - as they tend to get into trouble!!!

I forgot to tell you all that we finally got a new grill. It is really nice and the price was cheap! Last night I made myself a grilled portabella and OMG it was to die for!!! I just drizzled olive oil on both sides and put on a little seasoning salt. YUM! I have 2 more in the fridge so I"m making that for my lunch.

August - Does the house need to be cleaned out ASAP or can it wait another year or two? That is just too much for you and your brother to do from the other side of the world.

Jen - hey you!!! Glad you checked in w/us. How long will Chad be in NY? Have a great weekend!!!

Michele - how is your SIL doing? Any update? Does your DH have to work this weekend or do you guys have something fun planned? Did you ever get your pillow back?

Jennifer - is this weekend your kayaking adventure?

Well, I'm off to order my tickets for the Poison/Dokken/Sebastian Bach concert. Cross your fingers that I get good seats. Although I HATE Ticketmaster and their ridiculous fees!!!!!

I'm going without the fun special smilie guys today -- it just fatigues me too much to try and use them with this stupid browser. x(

Update: My SIL was prepped and ready for surgery yesterday, hadn't had a thing to eat all day, and then the doctors turned around and decided to hold off until NEXT TUESDAY to operate!! She was so upset and I don't blame her. They told her in the morning that they would do surgery in the afternoon, and then they told her at around 5:00 PM that they were going to wait until next week. So, they're sending her home today on injections for the clot, and she goes back in next week. They will remove the clot and the cyst at the same time. I can think of no good explanation for the manner in which she was treated. My DH never treats people this way! Maybe he should call and give them a piece of his mind!

Jen -- so what's Chad doing in New York? You may have said but I can't remember :eek: . I got your email yesterday -- awesome picture!

Dana -- ROTFLMAO at the birds! Ha!!

I hate mushrooms. :eek: :p

I crossed my fingers AND toes and I hope you snag your tickets!

Morning Michele!

I got my tickets!!! Woo-Hoo!!! We're in row 14!!! That's pretty darn close to the stage!!! I'm so excited. I have loved Sebastian Bach since I was 13 years old!!! Now I get to see him from row 14!!! I'm going to 3 concerts in August. Boy George for my b-day, the following Friday is the concert that I have just bought tickets for and then on Aug 20 I'm going to see Puddle of Mudd. I"m so excited. Now, I've got to break it to DH since he will be the babysitter! My best friend and I are going. We've also talked about going to the beach but not so sure how relaxing that would be. I've got my 2 boys and she has a moody 12 year old DD. We'll have to see.

I can't believe that they sent your SIL home. I'd be livid. I can't imagine how scared she must be. Having something so serious only to be told, yeah, we'll get back to you in a week or so. That is nuts!

OMG I cannot believe that you don't like mushrooms???? What is wrong with you? Ya know, the best meals are made from seafood and mushrooms!!!:p

I"m signing off for the day. Gabe is bugging to play gamehouse and I"ve got nothing accomplished this a.m., so I better get my butt in gear.

Hi haters. I can't believe it! A Saturday at work and we are all cleaned up a good hour before it's time to go home. Yay!

August, I don't mind you missing my birthday. (Sniff, sniff - insert crying smilie) Really, I don't. (Sniff) My sister took care of most of the cleaning out of my mom's house. It took her less than a week. She had a big dumpster parked outside for garbage. The good stuff went to an auction house, some of it we divided and the rest went to a "second hand store." It all went very smoothly.

Michele, your poor SIL. I would be so upset to be jerked around like that. I'd also be fretful about going home with the clot. When is your DH's test rescheduled for?

Dana, LOL at the silly birds. The grilled portobellas sound devine. Hey, I was cleaning off my desk this morning, looking for something in the clutter and found two DVD's that Shelley brought for you last spring when she visited. If you PM me your address, I'll mail then to you. Yay for your good concert seats.

I way over indulged on my birthday. Now I'm planning on strawberry shortcake for dinner. Uff-ta! Hope my pants still fit tomorrow! I'm not sure what the workout plans are for this afternoon. Especially since Dana says it's so hot and humid out. It should be leg day. Bleech!

Hey... I have no energy for anything right now but wanted to drop in & say HEY!!

I was up @ 4:30 w/ Chad, he showered & I made oatmeal w/ protein powder & egg beaters for him. He left & I feel back asleep from about 6-7:30. He went to NY for a Bat Mitzvah, this is a very close friend's daughter & he's went out for the older 2 kids so... He asked me to go but it's a very small group tonight celebrating the oldest graduating collage from NC (I think)then tomorrow is a bigger event on Long Island. I told him I *should* stay here w/ the kitties! ;-)

I am beat & going to hit the couch. I did Powerstrike 1 this morning, for some reason that one makes me sweat more than 2. Then did 2 hours of back breaking yard work... I pay my 18 year old neighbor to mow but I had neglected some weeds in the backyard & had to tackle them! Then APL, then had 2 drinks & a salad after with Tara, ran errands, home to vacuum, mop, & shower & now am BEAT!

I will be back tomorrow!
 
I'll be back for personals later, but wanted to tell you, yes, thank you, all's fine over here in Tokyo as far as the earthquake goes.

I felt it in the morning yesterday and had all but forgotten it happened until my Mom told me about the news on TV. That's why I didn't even mention it in my post yesterday.

Where I am, it only was enough wave to wake me and the monsters up!
 
Morning!

I finished up my Christi Step (30 min of it) and a delicious smoothy and I'm on my way to my Oxygen Tank. Er, I mean, work room.

I think I figured out the secret to the sudden deliciousness of my smoothies. I changed unsweetened cocoa powder. I was using Van Houton, and now I'm using Ghirardelli. I recommend. Think of it as flavonoids.

My windows are ajar and the breeze makes for romantic curtain blowing.

I did Slow and Heavy tris and bis yesterday.

Oogi got another blue rose.

Jennifer needs to tell us when her birthday is or we'll have to make one up.

Nope, my dad was from New York, and Mom of course is from Japan....no relatives remotely close to Oregon! (Sort of has meaning in its own, eh? LOL) Even my friends left Oregon! Thank you for your nice offer to help out making calls or anything.

I cannot, CANNOT beliiiiieeeeve that your SIL was told to go home on THE DAY of her scheduled surgery to be told to come back in a week. That is completely unthinkable!!!! It seriously puts ME in a rage, I can just imagine how she must feel! What on earth reason did they give her for this?

That is totally cute. He and his friend must have been thinking, "Man, WHAT is the DEAL here?! This piece of string is SO AWESOME, DANGIT!"

But besides that, sheesh, your yard has an overview of bales of hay on a farm?! That is so awesome. I never thought I'd yearn for it, being that I grew up in Oregon and had had enough of nature and greens and that sort of stuff......I definitely think about it now. Is this....my age? No, no, I'm going to pin it on the cats. I would so love to let these guys have a bit more nature.

Ooooh, that mushroom sounded yuuuuummm! That's great that the new grill is working out! I would be grilling up a salmon steak next! Throw on an extra for Michele!

There's no rush at all, actually, thank goodness...or not, since that means it's likely to sit there for years which is awful, too. Of course we have to keep a bunch of the utilities going or the pipes will freeze, not to mention automatic lights, and gulp, insurance and living taxes.

Hello my lovely Hater pals :* :*

I don't have time for personals. I need to sneak out and get a Father's Day card for DH from Johnny :+ , do some grocery shopping, and help plan a Father's Day dinner for my FIL.

DH and I are talking about (us or me) going to stay with his sister. Things just don't seem to be adding up and aren't making sense to us. DH is really worried about her, and I am, too. We're just gonna hang out for a couple of days and se what happens, and then we'll make a decision after her surgery.

Robin, no, this isn't the same family -- the mother of my niece that was hit by a car -- this is DH's baby sister (well, she's forty, but she's still the baby of the family ;) ).

Okay, I need to run. I hope you each have the very best day ever!! I love you crazy chicks! :*
 
Quick check in & will try to be back tonight for personals, I've been SO BAD for over a month now. :-(

I don't know what is wrong with me but I still have ZERO energy. I may try to do a light workout this afternoon, like Reach & something for abs, but won't beat myself up if I can't... since I did do an hour of cardio then 1 1/2 hours of HARD yard work yesterday morning, I will live if I have to take 2 days off this week!! ;) Can you tell I'm still trying to convince myself?

Oh & it probably also has something to do with me getting only about 3 hours of sleep last night & that wasn't in a row. Do not know what was wrong but I just couldn't lay still & I was hot/cold, hot/cold all night long. Frustrating. I forgot how lack of sleep can really take a toll on the body.

Well... I am going to continue with some cleaning, then maybe a nap, then will decide about the workout. I did get grocery shopping, tanning, washing sheets, and stopping by Chad's house to check on it, all done today so hasn't been a total loss!

August-glad you, the family, and the cute little monsters are all OK. I saw it on the news and I became worried about you when you didn't post.

This Sat morning, I fly out to NY and come back Monday afternoon. Please keep me in your prayers. The turbolent weather and NWA is enough added anxiety for me. Plus, I'm flying out of Lansing which is about one hour away from my home, alot cheaper.
