Thank you all for your well wishes!!
As promised, I am back with GOOD NEWS! (Well, under the circumstance, that is LOL.)
Chami didn't break any bones. She just sprained her wrist pretty bad, not to mention some torn out fingernails ow ow owee owee. Her wrist had gotten really swollen and she could barely bring herself to walk on it.
I'm so thankful I didn't wait until Monday (when they get their stitches out).
I was also thankful to see the woman doctor again when picking up Cham. Actually, the vet that does the shots and whatnot is a man, but the vet who did the paw/surgeries was a woman. While she was explaining to me showing me Cham's x-rays, her voice seemed kind of shaky - I think she just plain out felt awful that this happened (I was visibly upset when I left Chami there earlier). She was very respectful and apologetic for such a thing to happen (and of course I wasn't charged, but that's a no brainer).
Cham was out on the table in between us, and she was shaking, but she was sniffing around and seemed to be half enjoying the new surroundings.
Cham walked all over the table, and then up to lean against me, and then to sniff out the female doctor,...and this female doctor was so good to Cham when they interacted, I immediately felt much better. I could tell Cham felt comfortable with her, as far as a medicine-stinky vet would be concerned LOL.
THANK GAWD! THANK GAWD Cham didn't break a bone!
That being said, Cham is now wearing a very fashionable fluorescent green cast that is to stay on for two weeks, and I am to give her antibiotics for the following 5 days. Of course, I go out of town on Saturday, and I'm not sure if Mom can handle prying Cham's mouth open to pop in a pill (heck, I hope I can!)...the doctor said that if I could give the medicine until at least Saturday (which would be 4 doses), then that would be all right and they'd be seeing them on Monday.
Mom says she'll do her best. Who knows, my Mom might be better at that kind of thing than I.
Anyway, I got Cham home and the first thing she did was hobble straight to her dry food LOL. Then Mooch gave her lots of kisses which totally made me cry because it was just so lovely!
Then I gave her a nice massage and tummy rub, which included several hit songs from the album The Best of Tum-tum & Bum-bum. I can totally tell she's feeling much much better (well, she has pain medicine in her) and she really enjoyed her rub, and now she is fast asleep next to me.
Ahhhhh.
I'm going to take it easy tonight and tomorrow, and then I'm off Saturday to Monday.
AND NOW! Let me get to personals.
JEN THE SNEEZE QUEEN -
>Chad isn't bothering me yet
LMAO! That reminds me of some lyrics from the classic Salt 'N Peppa :
Somebody's gettin' on my nerves!
Somebody's gettin' on my nerves!
Somebody's gettin' on my nerves!
Forget that you're a lady and give him what he deserves!
The man is cooking good foods for you. He's into working out and knows tons about health. He lives close by. Is this AWESOME or what?!
>We have so much in common that it's kind of like hanging out with myself which I could NEVER get tired of... JUST KIDDING!!!
OMG, you nut. Love it.
I love how these two sentences segue into each other in your post:
>I think I'm going to take a bottle of wine over so I can have a glass or two- I think I'm going to hit the couch when I get there and stay there.
>I feel like I could throw up
LOL.
By the way, we all think the man is awesome since he is getting you to eat some really healthy, good foods. Cheers to that man.
JENNIFER - what's a Nascar run?
>He actually listened to me during that time period. (that was freaky).
LOL. When Cham is out of the house, Mooch becomes a total mush. He absolutely can't be alone.
Oh, Cham woke up, had a bite to eat, and then ran/hobbled over to Mooch to...wrestle?! LOL. Well, apparently she does feel much better! And Mooch must know, too, because he's being so gentle.
MICHELE - The cute photos were totally what I needed. I had a really good laugh at the kitten with the gold ribbon on his head.
>P.S. Did y'all know it's Talk Like a Pirate Day? No joke! Robin's office is celebrating with wacky costumes and a deviled egg armada
Arrrrrrrrr!
ROBIN - Arrrrrrrrrrrr!
>a bowl of cereal for dinner
This seems to be a popular dinner at Hatesville these days.
All right all. I feel much better myself. I hope even after Cham's medicine wears off that she'll still be in the good mood she's in, and that the pain from her wrist won't bug her too much. Her hobble is cute.
And she's using her cast right now as a head rest LOL.
Later!
