Sorry to be tardy!

I had a long meeting today. It was at my apartment so that I could stay close to my work room LOL. I figure if we could have the meeting at my apartment, as soon as we were done, I could pop back in and do work.

But the meeting went longer than I thought it would, and then it was dinner time, and then Mom hung out here, and now I'm tired.

JENNIFER - Ooh, I'm sorry to hear poor little Seville was feeling ucky. So glad to hear it sounds like it was just a normal barf up.

You're going kayaking, eh? It sounds like you've been before? I went once in my life, and made the mistake of taking an invitation from a guy who was semi-pro. And cocky. And trying to impress. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/121fs725372.gif It wasn't a great experience LOL.

DANA - Thank you for your ideas about who to contact about the house and all the stuff in it. Yes, in fact, there is a lot of stuff that needs to be sorted out and figured out whether it has sentimental value and worth taking up precious elliptical space LOL.

Actually, I'm the throw-everything-away type (as I think you guys know), but my brother is the opposite. I'd be totally fine to sell everything in the house without looking through it all (a.k.a. Don't really need to go walking through memory lane, as it's more like a maze than a lane), but if I were to say that, my brother would look at me like I have no heart, though I've implied it. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/to_pick_ones_nose.gif

Just the thought of it...well, I don't want to think about it. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/240.gif

I guess I'll post about it on the OD and see if anyone has any ideas, and I'll look into the Oregon attorneys. Thanks.

LOL and cry at the same time about the manila mess. Man, an entire manila envelope must make for a ton of tiny pieces of he!!. I can see how that would get your day off to a..start.

Ooh, but that grocery list thing sounds great! I can't do a darn thing without my lists.

SHANNON -

>So, have you started shopping for that elliptical?

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry051.gif No.

But to tell you the truth.....a Cardio Coach has befallen on me! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/happy085.gif Yes, it's true! It's true it's TRUE!! From the sky it fell on me like a fresh breeze to save me from my windowless work room! I was going to keep it a secret from you all until I'd tried it out but I just can't keep the information in me!!

I haven't done it yet. I need to get an elliptical first. LOL. No, I'm going to try it out with my bullet feet as soon as I can allow myself to take off my work chains. I'm excited about it!

http://mysmileyz.com/s/sherriff.gif Break it up! Break it up, you CC Nuts! You know who I'm talkin' about!

MICHELE - Oh my goodness, is there any update on your sister and your sister-in-law? How are you doing? Was your sister able to get a ride? Why did your s-in-law get a blood clot in her leg that bad?

I'm sending lots and lots of warmth your way.

How did your DH's stress test go? Were you able to be there with him?

ROBIN - Ooh, cake.

What more is there to say.

Oh yeah, praline bars and apple bars. Yeah!

Okay, see you guys later and have a nice Friday!

Michele - keep us posted!

:*

***DEEP INHALE***

***SLOWLY EXHALE***

Good morning http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/mornincoffee.gif

So here's where things stand:

Sister -- found someone to take her to her appointment -- http://www.pic4ever.com/images/47b20s0.gif

DH -- Due to some problem with equipment, his test has been postponed until next week -- http://www.pic4ever.com/images/Dancing_unhappy.gif (I mean, this dude just kind of looks how I feel -- gray, not quite happy, but somewhat relieved that I've been given a breather -- lmao!!)

SIL -- Uh oh. They think they found the cause of her clot, which is basically the length of her entire leg. The did an ultrasound of her abdomen and found what looks like a big cyst, possibly ovarian, and it may be pinching off a vein. She's having more tests today and may possibly going for surgery to remove whatever that is. ;( ;(

I didn't sleep a wink last night and I'm so FREAKING TIRED!

I've read everything from yesterday and today but my mind is too fried for personals with any depth. Augie, I well remember how hard it was when my mom went into the nursing home and we had to close up her house. Imagine trying to duke it out with 2 other siblings when you all feel differently about it  ;) :p . Anyway, I know this is a really hard thing to do and I will pray for you and your DB.

Dana, even in the midst of tragedy (the laundry story and all), you manage to make me LOL with your delivery. You are QUITE the story teller!

My love to Cuz, Robin, Jennifer, and Jen.

I'll be around looking at some other threads while I sip my coffee. I'll BBL if I'm up to it. :* :*

Hi, Michele,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear your sister got a ride. And I guess it's better for your DH to take a stress test at a different time anyway, under the circumstances.

That's scary about your sister-in-law. Thank goodness it was found and I'm keeping all good vibes flowing that the surgery will be a success and she'll just have to rest up a bit and all will be back to normal.

Big hugs to you. Take it easy this weekend, okay? http://mysmileyz.com/s/loveheart.gif

Dear lord, Cuz! That news about your SIL is just horrendous. I just want to cry for the poor woman. How on earth can a clot that big be removed? How long will it take to determine whether the cyst is "just" a cyst or a tumor? I'm so very sorry. For her and for you. Please rest today, will ya?

August - you have CC???? Oh boy! So, when are you going bullet walking? Be sure to give us a full report! I hope you don't have another meeting today. Or whatever day it is over there - LOL. Nobody should have to endure meetings two days in a row.

I had a pretty nice evening yesterday. Grocery shopping, which I actually enjoy doing, then taking care of the horses and visiting with family for a bit. No workout - whew. I needed that rest after doing CC 8 twice this week! Today will be lower body work.

This weekend my parents are sponsoring a motocross race on their property. x( I hate motocross. I will avoid it like the plague and stay inside in hopes of blocking out all the irritating noise. Maybe I'll pop in a Cathe workout and turn it up really loud. :p

Michele, well, I'm glad you got kind of a break with not having to give your sister a ride and the postponement of your DH's test. Is your SIL the mother of your niece who had the horrific accident? I hope the results of her tests are good. Thanks for the birthday thread!

August, today there are about 7 different boxes of chocolate to choose from, as well as cake! I'm glad I was there when my sister and I cleaned out my mom's house. I didn't want much, but was happy go find some treasures. There was a telegraph to my grandmother telling her my dad was MIA during WWII, as well letters from him to her from prisoner-of-war camp. I took a couple pretty bowls that make me think of my mom whenever I use them.

Shannon, I think your idea of avoiding the Motocross is a good one. Will is be all weekend?

Hi to Jennifer, Jen and Dana.

I'm hoping to do Tracey's Strike Zone this afternoon after work. Followed by Mexican dinner out for my birthday. Yay!

Afternoon lovelies!

August - imagine this, but a CC has also befallen on me as well. We must've been standing under the same cloud at the same time - how could that be???? I haven't done mine either but I'm really anxious to try it. Has your brother given any thought of flying back to the states to go through the house? I'm sure that would be quite costly though with the airfare and all. Heck, if I lived on that side of the US, I'd gladly help you out. When my DH"s mother passed away a few years ago, I was the one that had to go and clean out her apartment. Her apt was tiny and had a dining/living combo, a very small kitchen, 1 bedroom, bathroom, 1 closet and a walk-in pantry. It took me 3 days to get it cleaned out. I must've lost 10lbs in those days. It was horrible. I can only imagine what you'd be in store for if you had to do it by yourself.

Michele - what shocking news about your SIL. I will keep her in my prayers - that is so scary! I guess I have to keep my sense of humor or otherwise I'd need to be committed.

Robin - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Enjoy your night out. What restaurant are you going to?

Jennifer - have a great weekend and I hope that there aren't any storms in your forecast.

Jen - what ya up to???

Shannon - my boys would LOVE coming to your house this weekend for the motorcross race. Especially my youngest, he loves motorcycles.

So what are everyone's exciting plans for the weekend? Tonight and tomorrow night Gabe has baseball games. Tomorrow is his last game. So this is my "plan": I'm staying up til 2:00 a.m. if I have to, to get my cleaning done!!! I don't want to have to worry about cleaning all weekend. Tomorrow I want to do some yard work and probably take the boys for lunch or something, Gabe's game isn't til 5:30. Since Sunday is Father's Day, I'm going to see if my dad wants me to either cook breakfast or lunch at their house. Gabe is going to the races, so Gannon and I will find something fun to do. Either swimming or going to see Kung Fu Panda movie.

I don't feel like working this afternoon. It is pretty dead in here too. Only 3 more hours to go!
