Good morning everyone
Wow August is back and hasnt posted,,,she prob was so exhausted last nite that she crashed without writing to us..

I need motivation.. I stopped exercising last weekend cause i had company all weekend and havent started back again. I loved when it was a committed routine that I at least did something, no matter how much time I had..
So tell me your stories gals, get me back on track...


so cute. I worked with a gal from Russia last summer and she writes from time to time. she just wrote me a "annoyed at me" email. saying what is wrong with Americans that we are so lazy that we dont write the sweet Russian girl. about EVERYTHING that goes on in IHOP
LOL Im bringing that to work and telling everyone they have to jot a few lines so i can write her back tonite telling her how everyone is doing..
ARISTA I need to know how your diet is going and how wedding plans are going.. You are not fair to let us in on your life then run away

Good morning Mariah. No time for chat this morning but was stopping in to see if Arista had magically appeared last night, I see she didn't. I have been consistent with my working out but my eating has been bad, I haven't been eating anything really bad but just more than I should be, very hungry lately. So, I am not one to give motivation advice right now!!

Michelle- Let us know if you hear back from the e-mail you sent her.

No workout again yesterday. :-( I did walk 7 miles but I never really consider that a workout. I love walking so to me it isn't really working out.

Good morning Mariah, Jen, Dana, and all!

I've decided that I'm lazy and I'm trying to fix it. I made a list last night of everything I want to accomplish today and I'm not going to bed tonight until every single item on that list has been checked off. I wonder if making lists helps? I'll let you know:p

I'm doing a Cardio Coach workout today. I need a workout I can enjoy. I've done 3 step workouts in the past 8 or 9 days and my hip is bugging me, and that's with using the step only! I tried to add a few of the impact moves and that was a mistake. I have to keep it low.

Mariah, I'll work out if you work out. Is that motivational? :7

How cool you have a friend in Russia! I'm sure your coworkers will appreciate hearing from her. My DH has friends and colleagues from many different countries and it adds a richness to his life. It's nice and fun to make friends around the globe.

Jen, I bow to you for being able to follow up with a butt/hip/thigh workout after Powerstrike! I think my hips would be shot after that. Oh to be young again ;)

I can sympathize with you on the whole hunger thing. Cardio makes me ravenous! I did good yesterday -- I had a small piece of meat for dinner with a BIG salad, and a snack size bag of low fat popcorn for a treat. For lunch I had the last of a WW pasta dish I made the other night. I have no clue what I'm eating today -- I need to go to the store.

Dana, a seven mile walk is most definitely a workout, and that you loved it is a nice bonus! I've probably asked you this before, but how long does it take you to walk that far? Did you get all those letters folded? Do you have to stuff them in envelopes now?;(

I'll let all of you know if and when I hear back from Arista. I'm sure she's just swamped between her work, school, and wedding plans. I seem to recall a post where she wasn't feeling well. I hope she'll pop in, even if it's just long enough to say hello.

I know what I hate. MIGRAINES!!!
I've been "down" with one the past 3 days.
I've gotten them since I was born and am used to them but still hate missing 3 days at a time because of them!!

HATE, HATE, HATE!~ :eek: Okay, now that's out of my system!!!}( (I think)

Michelle, lists work for me! If I have stuff I really, really need to get done and can't put off anymore, I have to make a list. There's something about seeing it in black and white that works for me. Plus I get a real sense of accomplishment when I can cross something off !

Ooh, migraines. I'm so sorry you were suffering for THREE days. There's simply nothing worse than a migraine. I do have some good news for you -- they get better after menopause. I used to have frequent migraines, often lasting for days, but now that I'm post menopausal I only get them occasionally, and they don't last near as long. I probably have more sinus headaches nowx(

I checked off my first item on the list:D It was to water the African violets. Oh boy, that was fun! :7

I was told as a child, they'd be gone when I hit puberty,
that didn't turn out to be true at all. Then they said menopause. Now I've read they can get worse at that time!!!
I can't even imagine. They are severe as it is.
Have never found a medicine that works for me.
I take Stadol NS at night just to be able to sleep . It's a STRONG narcotic used for pain and it doesn't touch the pain, but at least I can sleep when I get a headache now. I used to be awake for 72 hours with them!;(

Way to go on watering the violets!

I just started bread in the bread machine. Maybe I should make a list so I can cross it off too! :p :7
 
Hello haters.

The carpet is in and it looks wonderful! Now I can't wait to get the curtains up, the furniture back and a few final touches made. The room will be all ready for my very special company at the end of April.

Becky, I'm sorry about your migraines. I have a good friend who suffers too and she's had a terrible time riding the narcotic roller coaster trying to find something to help.

I love lists too. I love seeing everything crossed off at the end of the day. I'm about halfway down mine for today.

Arista, where the heck are you?

Mariah, just do it! Sometimes I tell myself I'll start a workout and if I don't get into it in 10-15 min, I can stop. I don't think I've ever stopped, once I get going.

I have to get going if I'm going to finish that list. I'll try to get back later and catch up with everyone. Keep on folding, Dana.

It would be so wonderful to get together for a coffee (or some beverage). http://www.smileyhut.com/eat_drink/wine.gif I didn't know you had to have a passport to get into Canada - I thought we just said "Y'all just come in, eh!"

I guess I better GET a passport. I used to travel to SC all the time when I worked for Pirelli and I never had a passport, but the people in customs didn't seem too pleased that I was working down there.

Have you ever been to Nelson before? If not, be prepared for lots of tourists, "hippies" and children. We are a pretty "come as you are" community that is big on arts, outdoors and family. I hope you'll like it.

I posted some new pictures on my picture trail so you'll know what I look like! I am so excited!!!! (Can't you tell - I'm just babbling LOL)

I'll have to keep working on the yard in case you come by. I don't think that any of the other tenants did anything except mow the lawn. I have been trying to clear all the brush from this big bank in front of the house. We have a lot of skunks and such around here and I can see why now - the entire front is like a condo for skunks!

Dana - Walking SO counts as working out. Just after high school I lost a bunch of weight just by walking with my friend every night. I don't know how far we walked, but we would be gone for almost an hour, just chatting. (Except for the one time she wanted to see if we could go the whole way without talking - she was a little wacky, in a fun way.)

Jen - glad your stomach is better, RIGHT? BTW, you really inspire me to work out every day. I just ask my self "Do you think Jen is taking a day off????" LOL

Diane - I just LOVED your pictures! It made me want to run out and get pregnant again! (That didn't sound too wholesome, did it.) What a clear image! I loved being pregnant, the second trimester is the best - enjoy every minute of it.

Michele - where do you live where you would need A/C already!!!??? I guess nowhere near the Canadian border. LOL

Becky - I am so sorry you have to endure migraines. I think I would go insane, I am such a baby when in comes to pain.

No heater on! No heater on! I'm sitting in my apartment with no heater on! Thank you for passing on the warmer climate! It was even a little warm yesterday and I had the opportunity to take off my big ol' sweater and be in a tank top for a bit while I was at work. Yard work or cleaning the house. Wow. Now there's a hard decision as to which one I'd rather do. Having a DD who could do up the yard all cool is a major bonus though!

Oh, buying the same top in two colors is totally the way to do it. That's how all the celebrities do it, don't they? I bought some shoes when I was in the States last year and now I'm wishing I'd bought a couple more of the same pair. Not that they would have fit in my already jam-packed suitcase.

So were you able to accomplish the things you wanted to today? Oh wait, maybe you're still in the middle of doing them?...That sucks about your hip hurting from the step. I know you were excited to bring back some variety into your cardio with the step.

MARIAH - Hope you had a good meeting!....Okay, let's see...Motivation. Well, I've been taking a break, as you know. It's the longest break I've taken since becoming completely regular with my exercise for about two years. I plan to start up again on the 1st. (Har har har, I realize it's April 1st, but I ain't kidding here.) I've written out my rotation plan and it includes a bunch of workouts that I haven't done in a long time, and my workouts will be a bit shorter than they have been in the past.

How about we both start up our routine together? It doesn't have to be any long thing or major commitment. We just do what we can fit in, just so long as it is regular. What do you say?

JEN - Hey, busy woman. Did you have a nice rest day?

Michele - I like making lists too. Oh no, August is on the list? Uh-oh. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes to walk 5 miles. Anyone who saw me walking probably thought I was late for something.

August - that is it, never had a tasty cake????? You are so getting one. When you least expect it, I'm sending you a package. So what do you like? Peanut butter tandy cakes, powdered donuts, krimpits with butterscotch icing, jelly filled, etc???? Ooooh yum!!! Personally, my fave are the peanut butter tandy cakes. YUMMO!

I did LIC upper body premix, plus abs, but skipped the last cardio segment. It was still over an hour!

August, I know you're in la-la land but to answer your question, no, nobody else in my family has migraines, but they think mine was caused by a trama my mom suffered when she was pregnant with me.
I hate the migraines but am lucky that's all that happened to me!!

Okay, I totally needed a workout like the one I had tonight to make myself remember why I bust my butt to workout like I do. I have had a crappy week... okay, it could be worse, business is good & when you work on commission that is always a good thing but in the mortgage business busy also means STRESSFULL!

Anyway, when I got home all I really wanted to do is curl up on the coach with a bunch of junk food and eat. Luckily for me, I don't ever buy junk food & I would never forgive myself if I didn't work out so like always I got my workout clothes on & headed downstairs.

Fast forward till now, Powerstrike 1 done, 200 jumping jacks done, 30 min. hips, thigs, butt done, swept the house done, and showered!

AND I FEEL WONDERFUL! This is why I work out... okay enough about me.

Mariah- How is that little blurb above for motivation???

Dana- A 7 mile walk is exercise!

Michelle- Good job on your list, I say for the first day you did good. Tomorrow just make the list a little more realistic so you can feel accomplished at the end of the day...remember you can always add more if needed, so start with less & challenge yourself to add more! Kara- Wow, you are busy. Try to take it easy a little bit. Don't you just love Powerstrike? Have you done both of them? The first one is my favorite of the two but I love them both. Such a great sweatfest!

Someone please stop me... I just bought three new workout DVD's from deep discount.com. I have been eyeing a few for a while & decided I need some "easier" workouts to incorporate to my 2 a day workout weekends.

So, I ordered Jari Love Slim & Lean, Mindy Mylera Kick Butt Bootcamp & Karen Voight Pilates Total Body Training... thought that may be a good "stretch" type workout for me that may also help tone the buttocks area.

So, do any of you haters have any of these workouts? I got all 3 for like $25 with free shipping. Had I ordered from collage video like I normally would it would've been like twice that much.

I am also thinking of getting TLT Better Burn, Better Buns but will hold off for a while... so any feedback?

I also plan on ordering Debbie Siebers new series when it is for sale, it has one w/o that is all stretching & about 30 minutes so that'll save me from ordering one of Cathe's stretch w/o that I was going to get.

Somebody stop me... Shelley I know you are around, I saw you just posted in the OD... HELP ME!!!!!
