i have to admit i dont watch news and i dont read paper but i think this astronaut stuff warrants me either buying a paper or watching tv
now im off to a meeting and will come home and do exersize

Ugh, sport is not letting me type very easily, had two paragraphs typed and he walked on the keyboard & they're gone! He is okay, the vet doesn't think it is allergies or a cold, maybe just the litter getting in his nose. So, I feel better knowing he is okay... I think after I type this I'm going to have to stop and give him love for a while so he stops walking on the keyboard!

August- I will do some research & see if I can find out what they call a crockpot in China... a lot of the mortgage brokers I deal with are from China so I will ask one of them tomorrow. I love your "gym favs" w/o... you seem to do that one often.... didn't you like my perverted cardio thought...LOL!

Robin- I am a fast walker too, my mom & sister are always behind me but i can't help it, I can't slow down! Hope Greyor & his dad get better soon, being sick is horrible and for a baby has to be ten times worse.

Michele- Did you finally get off the phone before the hold music killed you? Don't worry, i'm right there with you on not doing good, I only did shovel cardio yesterday (you know, the cardio w/o from shoveling the inch of snow off my driveway), 30 minute bun shaper and that is it... plus I came home from work early & laid on my butt all afternoon. Tonight was my off night too...and I'm having a kahlua & diet cocoa right now & think I'll have another! shh...

Dana- Sorry you don't like PS, I don't have those-my upper body stays in shape from just kickboxing and the little upper body I get in other w/o so I never focus on w/o on upper body or abs only. My BUTT & THIGHS are my problem area, I swear I look at a piece of candy or fattening food & it deposits itself on my saddlebags, I hate it.:-(

Arista- So, two more animals by the end of the year, eh? What do you think you'll get this time? I've always wanted a bird. I have a broker in CA that has two birds...mccaws, that is it. He has a trust set up in their names b/c they outlive humans so his boys have to take care of them in order to get their parents money...;-) That is when you know those birds are loved! I might have a picture of them at work, if so I'll send home & put on my picture trail pics so you can see them.

Diane- YIPPEE!!! CONGRATS, I am so happy for you guys!

Mariah- A dust bunny, huh... not sure that counts... do you at least like animals??

Terri- Getting ready to check e-mail now, I know I have an e-mail from you telling me off for doing bun shaper & shoveling my driveway while sick....

I am feeling slightly better tonight, this morning I felt horrible but had to go to work, thought I'd take another half day if I had too but I was so busy I couldn't even move from my desk to get water so I stayed until about 3:15 then left to get Sport & go to the vet. I am going to check out today's posts in the open forum and give Sport some love, feed Storm her shrimp, then eat dinner and curl up in bed for the evening, hopefully by 8 or 9.

Hope everyone had a lovely day and wonderful evening & talk to you haters tomorrow! :7

Jen, I'm glad to hear Sport is OK. I still laugh thinking about you feeding you cat shrimp. I'm also glad to hear you feel better. Sometimes a busy day helps you forget just how crappy you feel.

Dana, another one laughing at your lopsided abs. I think there are some other workouts where the counts aren't even, but I don't recall which ones.

LOL at the dust bunny pet. Maybe you could get a Chia pet.

Well ladies, my washing machine is officially dead. We could get it repaired, but it would cost a couple hundred and I think after 26 years, I deserve a new one. DH thinks we can find one for less than $300, but after doing a little on-line searching, I think we're going to spend closer to $500. I'm not sure when we'll be able to get out and actually shop either. Time is pretty tight. And I'm running out of underwear.

I did SJ&P this afternoon. Tomarrow Cathe wants me to do a 45 min interval run, but no way in this weather. I think I'll substitute an IMAX.

Well, I'm headed for bed to dream of new fancy washers, even though we'll probably end up with the cheapest bare bones model we can find. Sigh.

Hey, Hatesville
Just skimmed the posts and don't have a lot of time to write, but I just wanted to say congrats to Diane on today's appointment. Part of me is slightly bummed that those baby days are behind me...but that lasts only momentarily...:)

I did Jen's version of KM this a.m. It's a great way to get things started, but I have to admit I hate plyo-anything...

I've got an early a.m. meeting tomorrow so it's off to bed.

'Night, John-Boy,
Terri
ETA: My oldest DD has her first boyfriend! UGH!! She showed me a note from him that she got last week and said, mom, can I tell you something (oh, here it comes, I thought), I like him back and I want to go out with him. Can I? Oh, what to say? I just tried to be non-commital and asked what does it mean exactly to go out with each other? She said go out to dinner, with the parents. I said how about starting with phone calls? You mean you’ll let me she exclaimed? I said we’ll see. Of course, dad isn’t about to let this happen. I think I feel my first gray hair coming along…

Maximum Intensity Cardio!!!

Cardio lovers to be, do I have the workout for you! This was a wonderful day! It started with Maximum Intensity Cardio. I cannot believe I avoided this cardio workout for so long. I am not wild about dated workouts in general, but I had a blast with this one. It is a fun workout even though the choreography is not dancy at all. Cathe starts out with a warm-up and a low impact combination that is nothing to write home about. I was not sure I would like this workout after the first few minutes. The music during the first half of the hi-lo is not the best. I liked the medium impact segment okay. What hooked me was the boxer’s shuffle segment. I did that on my rebounder and had such a good time! I could not stop smiling. What a high! The music picked up too. Fun, fun, fun! I was higher than a kite and feeling no pain by the end of that song. This is definitely good old-fashioned high impact aerobics that reminds me of my high school days. I am a hi-lo lover and an intensity junkie, so this workout satisfied me on both counts. I prefer the hi-lo in Step, Jump, & Pump, but I like this workout too. It makes me feel so good! The step segment of this workout is the best part with better music. I enjoyed the rock press off the side and the sashays. I was flying across the step during the second combination because I was too energized to feel the fatigue. The super intense step blast segment at the end left me drenched in sweat and begging for mercy. I was jumping up and down on the inside, but my body was tired and ready for a nap after it was over. My legs felt like noodles, and I was tripping all over myself when I tried to do grapevines during the cool-down. Speaking of the cool-down, what a great song! The soothing stretch felt so good. I still feel good tonight. Glory! Give this one a whirl and you too can be a cardio lover! ;-)

August, I thought of you when I read that Christi is shipping internationally now and making plans to film a new DVD workout.

Michele, I found a package of pearled barley but wanted to consult with you before buying it. Is that what you eat? Tell me about the texture. Is it similar to steel-cut oats or brown rice? The picture on the front of the package looks like tapioca. It is shiny looking. Is it mushy or slimy? Does it taste good with natural peanut butter? What do you put in it?

Robin, I am glad to know my post inspired you. We will both stay on track this month and have good results to share when we flip the calendar in a few weeks. I miss you in the Daily Check-in. It is good to know where you have been hiding. Do you still love cardio, or have you defected to the dark side? ;-) LOL! I vote for Maximum Intensity Cardio instead of Cathe’s interval run. There are some toughs intervals in this workout. It will keep you nice and warm too!

Diane, congratulations! :)

Blessings,
Heather B.
