HATE - Feb 25

August

Cathlete
Happy Sunday!

Today was Bar Method day. I love workouts where you don't have to wear any workout gear.

It's nice and sunny over here, but sheesh it's chilly as can be! Brrr! Get me my heater!

I'm out of frozen blueberries.

Okay. Enough about me.

Robin - Woo hoo! You're shopping sounds like it was a success! And on sale, how could it get better? It will be so fun to put everything out in its place. Ahh, the newness of it! Reminds me that Spring is on its way!...How cute that Greyor is home and doing so well, eating and sleeping and enjoying being home with his family.

Michele - That's good to hear that you're soaking up the sunshine while it's around! I loved your cute emoticons. And how totally cute about your cat batting around the bunny basket! I can just imagine it!

About KK - As you know, it opened in Tokyo last December. Well, apparently there is STILL a three hour line to get the dang donuts. THREE HOURS. Now, I'd happily wait in line for yummy donuts for three hours, but I need to find a day where I really have nothing to do but wait to eat donuts (since I imagine the actual eating of them won't take a considerable amount of time). But that day will come. That day will come.

By the way, I did have my hair done again, and it looks much cuter. Now it's blond and in a ponytail.

Jen - Are we Haters going to have to come over there and sit you down for a little talk with you about taking care of yourself? Don't make us come over there! If you're starting to feel like you might be getting sick, you need to listen to that. Don't beat your body and head up just to get in a workout that ultimately will you do more harm than any good. And, there simply is nothing good about having an "addiction" of any kind, and thankfully nobody ever "has" to have any kind of addiction, so get that out of your head, too.

See? Now you've made us all worry about you.

Don't make us come over there!

Deb - Hi! :)

Arista - That's great to hear you had such a fun time with your friend. Dark chocolate and wine! It sounds gorgeous! And it's always good to have friends who inspire you to do good things for yourself. That's nice that she could come out. Now it's your turn to visit her!...In my Nintendo village, the way your character's face is depends on the answers you give to the questions the cab driver asks you when you first start the game. So my character ended up with rosy cheeks, round eyes (without eyelashes), and brown hair in pigtails with hair sticking up on top. She looks much cuter now as a blond, so I must thank Katrine. There are so many questions that Katrine asks about your cut, so I imagine there must be tons more hair styles and colors I can try out. Right now I have her wearing her pink and red heart dress, so she looks very stylish and youthful. LOL.

Mariah -

>Imagine a whole restaurant filled with people with fat bumps all over them

Must I imagine that?! LMAO. Though I suppose if the fat bumps were to melt off in five minutes, it wouldn't be so bad.

Terri - Hi! :)

All right. I'm off like...like.....the skin of a sweet potato after it's been defrosted in the microwave!

Have a nice Sunday :*

Good morning everyone
My head is stuck on a song from a commercial for a new show on tv the song's refrain is "Im living my life like its golden" I went to sleep with that in my head and woke to the same thing
I wonder how i can make my day golden today :)
Another thought to share
Someone named Faith Baldwin said "Time is a dressmaker who specializes in alterations" which translates to sometimes there are delays or detours \ in life and we have to just go with the flow.
Yesterday I didnt want to exersize at all, did that all star workout and lo and behold i wound up enjoying it.
It was a mix of cardio and weights none felt too hard yet i was bathed in sweat So if anyone ever sees it on tv dont be afraid to try it.

Im off to work soon, and maybe i can live a golden life instead of singing a golden life.

I wish you all a golden day today :)

Mariah, what a lovely thought to wake up to! Thank you. I was just beating myself up for overeating yet again and needed a nice, positive image like that to change my focus. And one of my favorite quotes from a very popular Christian book is ,"It's not about ME." With those 2 thoughts in the forefront of my mind, I think it should be a very good day.

A three hour wait for donuts! I think I'd go home and make my own. Actually, my DH said there were 6 hour waits in Pittsburgh when the first KK store opened there. But those were people from Pittsburgh. LOL. I also laughed at August's comment about liking workouts you don't have to wear work out gear for. My DD just started doing pilates and while we were shopping yesterday, she said ,"Mom, I need some clothes for pilates." I had already bought her sunglasses, sequins to glue on her cell phone and and outfit for the baby. I did a very good job of ignoring her "Mom, I need...." for the rest of the day.

So today I reset goals, refocus my committment and recommitt my focus. My rotation calls for L&G, which didn't seem too hard the last time I did it, so if time allows, I hope to tack on some cardio, maybe something from CTX. I also have a list of chores about a mile long, so hopefully I'll stay busy and avoid all unauthorized snacks.

Have a wonderful, golden Sunday haters.

Good morning, haters!

All the pretty sunshine is gone. The sky clouded over early yesterday and the weather went progressively downhill as the day wore on, and then at around 6PM freezing rain came pouring out of the heavens and it rained all night long. We're expecting rain off and on for several days now. I'm so glad I took advantage of the sun while it was shining. That really did help my mood.

My cold is much better and I might attempt a workout today. I've been missing my Cardio Coach.

August, I'm so glad the the poodle fixed your hair! The new do sounds much cuter -- ROTFLMAO!

A THREE hour wait at KK!!! Even I wouldn't wait 3 hours for a donut, although you could entertain yourself with your Nintendo and a cell phone. Make the wait time worth your while by stocking up and buying 5 or 6 dozen donuts. I'm sure they freeze well }( :9

Mariah, I agree with Robin and thank you for the inspiration. And oh yeah, I know all about the dressmaker's alterations, literally and figuratively:eek: ;) . --Don't work too hard, Mariah. How are things going for your family?

Robin, I hear you and I'm right there with you. Today is Golden New Life Sunday, and we're in this together! I'm sticking with small goals for now. My DH has put on a lot of weight, too, because food is his refuge from the world. That man just loves to eat and cooking is one of his hobbies. I had a long talk with him about the need for both of us to make changes in our eating habits. He agreed with me but we'll see if he'll follow through. It's hard to lose weight when your DH likes rich food and wants lots of it-- ;(

Jen, how are you today. I agree with everything everybody else said, and we're all coming over there if you don't behave:p }( :*

Arista, it sounds like you had a great time with your friend.

...Oh crap, the phone...I'll BBL:* :* :*

Mariah - That is one of my favorite songs. "Golden" is a song by an incredible artist named Jill Scott. How awesome for her that they are using the song for some kind of new TV show. She is probably the artist I would most like to see live but never have.

Robin - SIX HOUR WAITS?! OMG!! Well maybe three hours ain't bad after all!...Pilates clothes. Ha. Aren't Pilates for workouts in pajamas?

Michele - I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better and that you soaked up the sun while it was around. I love the sun, but I also love it when it pours. I love that super heavy rain stuff....Hey, I know some healthy foods that your DH loves : FISH. :* :9

I couldn't stand it. I had to listen to "Golden." (I have the album it's on.)

Man, she's absolutely incredible. Totally wipes me out.

Morning Haters!
We woke up to 20" of snow in front of the garage...nice! I did a brief shovel max to clear off the front porch. The rest is DH's job! :) Seriously, our driveway is 1/4 mile long and have to wait for someone (my step-cousin) to plow us out. It's kind of fun to be buried in when everyone is home.

August: I gave Jen a proper whoop-a*& via email. With all of us "sisters" she'd better listen to us. :) Your new 'do' sounds cute. Do you stick out like a sore thumb in a sea of dark-haired lovelies?

Mariah: what a lovely thought this morning. Thank you for your enlightened perspective. I'd like some golden sunshine after yesterday's snow storm...

Michele: I think we got what you have except in the form of snow.

Robin: Isn't it fun to get all that stuff on sale? Now comes the fun part - putting it all together!

BTW, I did Powerstrike yesterday and LOVED it! The production quality wasn't nearly as bad as I was anticipating. I am very sore today in my b-u-t-t-o-c-k-s (Forest Gump was on last night) and in my shoulders. Great workout! Highly recommended from Jen and well worth the price.

Speaking of Jen: Did you ever think so many of us would tell you to REST? Think of it as part of your rotation, another exercise if you will, for your body to recover. It's essential!

Hello all to Dana, Diane, Arista (BTW, thank you for your input; I was thinking a combination of the 2 sites?) and everyone. BBL

Terri

Hey, Terri,

I was thinking about you because Mariah talked about a song that I knew...I totally think about the song you can't find on a daily basis LOL.

How fun to wake up to so much snow! Yay! TV day!

Glad to hear you spread some extra to Jen via email :) I can't imagine she was expecting to hear so much gunk from us.

Thanks for the compliment on the do. Actually, the new do is the new do my character in my Nintendo village is sporting, as embarrassing as it is for me to be writing that LOL. Ahh, you old Haters remember when I titled our thread something like YOGA WITH A STUFFED UP NOSE and people came thinking I was starting a yoga thread? Sorry to mislead you with my blond ponytail. I personally actually have dark hair, so I don't stand out in the sea of dark-haired lovelies over here. So I guess no special treatment for me as to cutting in line at Krispy Kreme.

Anyway, enjoy your snow!

All right, all right, no quips about the "you old Haters" thing. Y'all know what I'm talkin' about.

:*

Terri - Lots of English teachers abroad get Forrest Gumped - after a while of speaking English to non-native speakers, one tends to O-V-E-R-E-N-U-N-C-I-A-T-E.

"I have a liTTle buTTon on my miTTEn."

LMAO.

Good morning haters,

Terri - 20" of snow? Wow. I got two last night and was feeling sorry for myself. I guess we'll both be working out INSIDE for a while. ShovelMax sounds like a great outdoor workout though.

Good morning Dana, Diane, Deb, Jen, and Shelley!

Michele - I hear you on the men in our life who love to eat BAD BAD food. I'm lucky now that Ryan eats at least two of his meals away from home. That would be REALLY hard if liked to cook the bad stuff. Moderation, moderation, moderation I guess! Load up on the salad and have a few bites of the rich stuff. I'm certainly one to talk!

Robin - How old is your DD? It sounds like she might be a tad old to do the "mom, I need" bit, isn't she? Good job on putting up the resistance. I'm with you on Golden New Life Sunday! I didn't do that well over the weekend and am ready to get back on the lettuce wagon. I'm going to plan out my workouts and meals for the week today and try to avoid that dark chocolate in the cupboard. And I AM going to get in a workout today. No ifs, ands, or big buts.

Mariah - I don't think I've ever heard that song. Darn. Sunday is definitely a good day to be golden! I hope you're enjoying it. Is Sunday your busiest day at the restaurant? I used to love going to pancake houses on Sunday with my dad's side of the family. (We're big eaters!)

August - I would never stand in line for donuts for 3 hours! That's awful. Is there anywhere else in Tokyo to get donuts? At least you've got your smoothies, I guess... :9

I've been listening to this weight loss hypnosis CD by Tom Nicoli for a couple days and I gotta say that it gives me something relaxing to do in the morning and evening (besides eating), which is nice. It also relieves some of the anxiety I feel that leads to my eating too much (especially in the evening when Ryan isn't home). I'm not sure why I'm anxious, but I've always been a bit high-strung and always rushing here and there.

so I'd recommend it if this is a problem for anyone else. I'll let you know if I find it easier to eat less food during the rest of the day.

OK, I'd better get my workouts planned and start on homework. Have a great Sunday all! :*

Oh man, I missed August! I finished up my phone call just in time to watch my favorite cooking shows; Rachel Ray, Giada De Laurentiis, and Ina Garten. I was all engrossed in a new recipe that Giada was making and the next thing I knew, I woke up and it was 2:00:eek: . My body has been craving sleep lately and I'm sure it has something to do with this cold.

I've never heard of that song, "Golden", or the singer, but I listened to a clip on some website and it's lovely.

ROTFLMAO about DH liking healthy fish. Oh yeah, he loves his fish alright! he especially loves it dipped in egg and flour, then fried in a vat of oil to a crisp golden brown. When he does prepare it in a healthy manner, he'll finish it off by drowning it in a pool of high fat sauce. LMAO!

>>"I have a liTTle buTTon on my miTTEn."<<
ROTFLMAO!!!

Hey! You better watch who you're calling OLD:p

The thought keeps running through my mind that August got a poodle cut and I just can't stop laughing about that!:p :7 :p :7

Terri, egad, 20"! Robin will be so jealous because I think she only gets around 6 or 8 inches:p . Yes, the rain, the rain! It sounded lovely but it sure made for some treacherous road conditions. I like it at night when you're all warm and toasty indoors, but a long run of gray, dreary daylight hours can be hard to take.

Arista, my DH is really only home for 1 meal a day. I send him out the door in the morning with a breakfast he can eat in the car -- usually an egg sandwich, PB toast, or toast with avocado -- those are his 3 favorite things. He rarely takes the time to eat lunch so when he gets home he's starving and will scarf down a huge amount of food. That's probably the biggest problem -- that he eats too much late at night right before going to bed, and then he suffers with indigestion.

HI KARA!!!!! I know you're lurking...come on in and say hello, you squirrelly girl :D :* :+

Dana, Shelley, Diane, Jen, and EVERYONE -- have a happy Sunday and I'll catch y'all later:* :*

Good afternoon haters! I am later than normal getting here today. I had a very chatty neighbor this morning so ended up talking to her for about 1 1/2 hours. Her son mows my yard in the summer & they are so nice. She doesn't care for cats but LOVES Storm, who acts more like a dog & the reason Rita likes her!

I did Drill Max this morning, original mix. I ran a few errands and now am looking forward to doing some cleaning around here & taking it easy. The weather is still overcast and windy, gusts up to 30mph but at least the rain has stopped.

August- I am so glad you got your hair done again! And hey...I may be addicted to working out but what about you & your Nintendo, LOL! Just giving you a hard time. There is NO WAY in h#ll I would wait an hour for a donut, let alone 3 or 6 hours. I can't even remember when the last time was I had a donut.

Mariah- I know, I know... in my mind way back there I know that I am way to hard on myself, I am working on it, promise. It just takes time but hey if I was able to nix the smoking habit I have no doubt I can overcome this too, especially with all of you guys!

Robin- I hear you on the eating thing, not sure what it is-I used to be so good about eating "clean" but haven't been since like Christmas, oh well life is too short to worry, right? How are the chores coming along? Hopefully you'll find a little time to relax today also.

Michele- Good thing you enjoyed that sunshine while you could! I am happy to hear your cold is getting better, maybe start out with a light w/o to ease yourself back into it... I am doing good today, just wish I would see the sun at least once this weekend!!! Makes for a good weekend of buming around though so I won't let it get me down.

Terri- Holy c@ap, 20 inches of snow? Wow, that is a done, at least as you said all your family is home & safe-snow days are fun as long as you don't have to travel in it! Enjoy the day & relax! I am so gald you like Powerstrike, I just can't get enough of that w/o!

Arista- So, you working on your w/o schedule for next week? I am going to do that here shortly & then post it, I like not having to think about it during the week & also helps get mentally prepared for the w/o knowing ahead of time what I'll be doing.

Shelly, Dana, Diane - Hope you guys are doing okay & enjoying the weekend.

BBL to post next weeks rotation, I am also thinking of doing another w/o this afternoon-something lower body focused & not much cardio, I am thinking either Leaner Legs or the 2nd half of L&G... we'll see though I may end up doing nothing!

Hi Jen!! We must've been posting at the same time. Rest, rest...you need to rest, young lady. Are you tired of us ganging up on you like that? It's only because we love you and we care about your well being :* :+

I hope you get a big dose of sunshine soon. It was such a welcome gift from heaven. I don't think there's any sunshine in the forecast again for several days:-( . Oh well, I have all my cute little Eastery things to set around.

I'll show you what I bought...just a sec...I'll be right back...

Now how can you not smile with things like this sitting around your house?:+

Yikes!! Well, they are very small in real life and are cute partly because of their smallness. The little carriage of baby chicks makes me LOL! I have more, lots more, but I couldn't find pictures of anything else. :D

Those are adorable Michelle- where did you find them? I love decorating the house for the seasons! I am so ready for spring although I'm not looking forward to the hot, hot summer. It was a bad summer here last year, lots & lots of day in the 90s & humid as can be.

What are your plans for the day? The wind is picking up even more outside, it even looks cold out there. Oh well, it is a good excuse to be a bum & not feel bad about it. I do need to order some things on-line today, with my fat free pizza being one of them so I'll accomplish internet shopping today!

Hey Jen!

I'm just getting ready to leave for the grocery store. I'm going to make a pot roast for dinner tonight, a healthy version with lots of veggies. DH is still at work and he's on call so we'll just be home all evening. The Academy Awards show is on tonight. We probably will NOT watch it, but we might turn on a movie or something.

I found my little Easter decorations at a gift shop. They're Midwest ornaments...you know...the company that makes all the Christmas ornaments. I've never had Easter decorations before and I love them! They're so darn cheerful:+

Okay, I've got to sign off for the day. I want to be back from the grocery store before my DH gets home. Have a nice evening, Jen and all, and I'll see you tomorrow:* :*

Just home from work so HELLO All

someone asked if Sunday were our busiest day NO We are in a resort area of Daytona Beach so it can be busy or dead any given day depending on what is going on in town
If there are conventions and it runs thru sunday then we are busy, If the convention is over sun then many have gone home sat and sun are packing to go home
and keep in mind that we have a bigger staff on on the weekends so it all balances out when the town is busy

next week is the start of bike week so we will prob be busy every day for about 2 weeks

Michelle
My family is coming around, we had to put my mom in a nursing home and she has become very confused (Nutz) and thinks she has been kidnapped and being held in a firehouse, and she is looking for the police so she can have them arrested. Have to find out if the meds are doing this or what!!! Son In Law is always mr macho and as soon as anything happens to him he heals and gets out there and gets moving again they are in Mich and were expecting 8/9 inches of snow last nite so he was preparing his truck so he could go out plowing this morning
unbeliable But they will be here Wed (HOORAY!!!) so ill see them then and there is just no stopping him.

Jen
what would happen if you set aside one hour for exersize and stuck to that
not do it two or three times a day sounds like you use the exersize to fill time or to avoid things

August
I love sunny, bright days, and i wish the rain could be confined to evenings I know the flowers and greenery need it and we could not exist without rain but it usually makes me very dreary. The only time i like rain is if i need an excuse to be totally lazy. and then i can let the rain soothe me as im lazy.. Sort of like allows me to be mellow and/or lethargic.
I used to work with a woman and she LOVED dark dreary days. I could never understand until once she told me a story about when she was a child her mother abused her, Her mother was afraid of spiders though, so when her mother would start acting crazy she would run to the attic and go to the furthest corner and hide, It made her feel safe and she would stay there till her father came home. So dark dreary days made her feel safe and secure.

well, mail read, lunch eaten (LOL lunch at 430) now for a cup of coffee and get out of my uniform and decide what to do with my evening

Mariah

Wow, Mariah, what a sad story. I used to like the sound of rain until I became a homeowner with a basement then tends to flood.

Michele, I love your decorations. They do bring a smile. LOL about your DH liking his fish fried. One of the local chefs who does a lot of classes at my friends store says everything is better fried. Of course, I understand he is a "big" man.

Terri, 20 inches !??! Yikes. I think we only once had that much snow. And we couldn't get out for 3 days. None of the township plows were big enough to clear the roads.

Arista, my DD is 19. Yeah, she's a bit old for the "Mom, I want..." whine. She just had Greyor and is juggling college and being a mom, so she has no money.

Jen, again, what everyone else says. Hugs.

I got L&G done, but didn't have the time to do any cardio. But I did get everything on my list done. And I did avoid snacking. My Sunday evening pizza friends are on their way, but I'm going to have leftover veggie pizza. Everyone have a great evening and I'll see you tomarrow: Golden New Life Monday.
