HATE - Feb 23

August

Cathlete
Good morning everybody!

First off, let me put your minds at rest - my Nintendo Village store is back up and running. Mr. Raccoon renovated his convenience store and it is now a beautiful 2-story department store! It even has a new beauty salon in it, so I'm thinking I might go in and get a hair cut and color, after I make some money selling all my fruit. I'm so excited!

I did my Pyramid Upper today. I'm feeling strong (flexes muscles, growls and looks foolish).

Jen - Oh! Girl Scout! I guess weights aren't involved while eating cookies in that case....You've been starving - well, let's see. Maybe, could it possibly be because you work out like a MAD WOMAN?

Terri - It certainly would be wacky to go on the road trip and meet you all (or at least some of you), but I'll have to wait until she does a Japan tour.....Oooh, a figure competition. How great would that be to look like a figure competitor?!

Mariah - That would be so great to get your real estate internet business up and running. If a catchy name comes to mind, I'll certainly mention it!...That is totally scary about your SIL's head. I hope the doctor tomorrow will tell him that he's totally all right...Well wishes to your mother!

Arista - LOL, you should totally do a George at your new work. That really is fantastic that you got the job! You know, I must have been confused because I thought you HAD gotten the job, but the day before yesterday! I must have been reading the future.

Michele - FEEL BETTER, SNOT GIRL! :*

Okay, I'm off like stinky sneakers!

Later!

Hey, good morning August! I can't believe I'm still up and barely awake and your day is already beginning.

There is a picture of a figure competitor in the latest M&F Hers who looks incredible, but I'm too sleepy to get out of bed and find out who she is. Anyways, she's got an incredible figure. I'll find out tomorrow who she is.

I just wanted to say good morning before I call it a day. So, I'm calling it a day...BBL

Terri

Night all who are just going to bed
and Good morning to the rest of us

just checking in
will write more when im home from work busy day ahead

Morning all!

August - I'm so glad you can sell your fruit and get your hair cut all in the same spot:p Now, does Mr. Raccoon cut your hair? Because I just can't imagine raccoons being good at that sort of thing.

Terri - sleep well!

Mariah - have a great day at work.

Well, today is a weird day for me, because I'm happy it's Friday, but Sophie goes back to her dad today, so I'm really sad about that. I will be cleaning drywall dust all weekend, but at least my kitchen ceiling doesn't look like it's about to collapse on my head anymore!

I must go check yesterday's thread to see what y'all are up to.

Hey, hey, hey haters!!! TGIF!!! How is everyone today? OK here, still feeling crappy but only about ½ crappy. LOL. DH is sick – I’m going to get him some Muninex (sp??) tonight. 2 of my co-workers have taken it and felt 90% better the next day. No workout of me last night. I was lazy and watched tv. But my excuse is that DH wasn’t home from 5:50-8:15 so I had no one to watch to the kiddos.

Arista – yeah!!!! Congrats on getting the job. That is awesome. I have to admit too, I thought that you already had the job. But I knew you had the job – you are talented, why would they consider hiring someone else. I have no idea how one gets a website. Please inform me. My DH has his own business and it would be great if he had a website to put pictures of his work on – right now he has a photo album and he gives it to his clients to look at. That worries me b/c he only has one album and if someone loses it he is out of luck. But we don’t have many digital pictures. He took most of them with a regular camera and we don’t have a scanner. Is your friend coming in this weekend? That sounds like fun, have a great time!

Michele – how are you feeling today?

August – OK, per your orders I will not send you any chicken broth. It’d probably cost me $20 to ship a $1, 16 oz can. You can make your own you do know that right? All you need is a chicken and a pot (and we know you own 1 pot) – so no excuses!!!! If you came to the Road Trip, I would have no excuse not to go. I would definitely not miss an opportunity to miss you and all your craziness. Although I can’t imagine traveling from Japan to New Jersey for the weekend. How often do you visit the states? Oh what a relief to know that the store has been rebuilt. I was losing sleep wondering what you were going to do. I hope that you sell enough fruit to get a new do. PUB – that is a great workout. Glad you enjoyed it. Now PLB – that is a different story. Ha!

Terri – I hope you get your new exercise videos soon. I get impatient too – they should send them as soon as you order them, huh? Everytime I order one of Cathe’s, it only takes 2-3 days and it is here. But I live in Pa and they ship from NJ. Collage seems to take a week or so.

Mariah – I like the name that you are considering for your real estate site. I’ve never been to Florida but I vision palm trees, ocean breezes and relaxation. How long have you had your real estate license? How long have you been out of the business? I bet that there are lots of homes on the market in FL so you probably won’t have a hard time finding clients.

Jenn – no meetings today? Meetings suck – I hate when I have to go to them. One of my co-workers is trying to get to attend a 3 day conference. No thank you! If I have to leave my family for 3 days you best bet it will be for a vacation, not a conference!!! I didn’t know that you work on commission. Do they give you a base pay if you don’t make what you want on commission?

Shelley – how are you today? Is that craptacular feeling over or do you have to endure the agony for a few more days? Is Sophie going for the weekend or the week? How old is she? Ya know it is weird b/c I"m always saying how my boys drive me bonkers and then when they go somewhere w/my DH and I have the house to myself I'm like, OK what do I do w/myself. HA!!! My son Gabe is almost 6 and he is my do-stuff-with buddy (we go roller skating, to amusement parks, out to eat, to the movies, etc). I don't know what I"ll do when he gets to that age where mom is not cool. Guess I'll need to find an adult friend.

Diane – oh the joys of the first trimester. Ha!! Just wait til the 2nd trimester, you’ll wonder where all the energy came from. Your walking and strength training plan sounds good. Just do what you can. Have a great weekend visiting with your sister and family.

Robin – did Greyor come home yesterday? How is he doing? Did you survive IMAX3 (you do know that you are nuts right??)??

So what is everyone doing this weekend? Not too much here. Tonight we’re ordering pizza and I already made my salad to go with it. I’m going to do some sort of upper body workout and then do some cleaning and laundry. Do I know how to live it up on a Friday night or what??? LOL. Tomorrow I think me and the kids are going to visit my mom since we haven’t been over there in about 3 weeks due to the bad weather. Sunday, nothing as of yet.

Have a great Friday and I”ll try to BBL.
:)

Good morning all!

The sun is shining:). I think I'm going to hop in my car and go on a little road trip. It's been so dreary and gray and I don't want to waste a moment of this glorious sunshine. All workouts are on hold until my head is drained of this snot and I can breathe again.

I've been doing well on my Eat to Live Cookie Diet. I ate the last cookie yesterday so I better buy another dozen today, don't ya think? Should I stick with the WW pecan chocolate chip or try the whole grain cranberry oatmeal? Maybe I'll get a dozen of each:p :9 . All kidding aside, I've learned an important lesson about myself -- I cannot deprive myself of treats. I need one everyday for happiness and to prevent gorging. Putting the cookies directly into the freezer the moment I got home was probably a smart thing to do, too. I've allowed myself 1 or 2 everyday and they lasted for an entire week!! I've never been able to keep a dozen cookies for a week. I usually scarf them down in a day or 2. From now on I'm keeping cookies in the house -- the whole grain kind. They're actually pretty good. One small caveat -- the rest of my diet has been pretty clean with tons of fruits and veggies...well, except for those french fries I had the other day}( :9.

>>Mr. Raccoon renovated his convenience store and it is now a beautiful 2-story department store! It even has a new beauty salon in it, so I'm thinking I might go in and get a hair cut and color, after I make some money selling all my fruit. I'm so excited!<<

ROTFLMAO!! I'm sorely tempted to buy this Nintendo doohickey.

August, I would just be OVER THE MOON if you came for the road trip:) :) :) :) . Of course I realize you can't, but can you imagine the FUN FUN FUN we would have if all the haters were there? It is my dream to gather all the haters together for our own special GTG. Probably the only way to make that happen would be for everybody to get that Nintendo doohickey. I would like to go with August to get my hair done in Mr. Raccoon's salon -- ROTFLMAO!!

Terri, are you working your lovely strong thighs today? LMAO!

Arista, did you see my post from last night? You better go look if you haven't. Oh, I love to make SF chocolate pudding and sprinkle sliced almonds on top:9. I think you and I have a fair amount in common  :7

Diane, I'm glad you've been able to keep up with a little exercise. It's so nice that you'll get to spend time with your sister. It sounds like you'll have a lot of fun.:)

Mariah, have you come up with a name for your business yet? How's everything? I've been praying for you:*

Dana, I've been thinking about your difficulty finding time to work out. I'll have to see if I can find it again, but I read an article online about exercise myths. There was a paragraph about the length of time you need to workout in order to receive the benefits. Basically, it talked about how you can work out in small blocks of time and still get results. In fact, they encouraged you to engage in some activity for 5 minutes out of every hour. You could also hop on Eli for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, and just do that 4 or 5 times a day. You don't have to do 30 or 45 minutes of cardio all at once! You could do incremental workouts on the evenings your DH has plans, and then do longer workouts when he's available to take the kids off your hands.

Robin, Jen, Shelley, and all -- what y'all doin?

Okay, I'm out of here. I'll BBL to read up on my peeps! :* :* :*

Hi Shelley and Dana!

We were posting at the same time. I'm so friggin slow:eek: ;( .

Shelley, I wish you could keep Sophie. I hope you gave her daddy a piece of your mind, and perhaps the toe of your boot}(

ACK! Drywall dust. Don't work too hard, Shellers. How are you handling the ban on treats?

Dana, my weekend sounds a lot like yours. In fact, I'm making pita pizza's tonight :9

I'm out of here now:*

Dana! Hi! Your Friday sounds about as thrilling and cosmopolitan as mine. I'm planning grocery shopping, laundry and a leg workout. Whoo hoo! Sophie is 9 going on 23. She goes to her dad's for a week. We have a week on/week off arrangement and it just about kills me.

Michele - I have not touched a cookie, a baked good, chocolate or hot chocolate since Wednesday. And I have PMS. Someone may have to die soon. I like your Eat to Live cookie plan. I hear that GS cookies are out there. You guys have such great GS cookies. Ours are lousy, only two kinds. I think last year someone sent me some of the PB patties and a couple of other kinds and they were heavenly!

Shelley, I'm very proud of you. So what are you doing to soothe the PMS beast? Will you be spending a lot of time on your treadmill? Are you substituting with some kind of healthy treat?

You won't believe it, but a little Girl Scout came to my door a few weeks ago hocking her da*n cookies and I didn't buy any. I felt kind of bad about closing the door on that cute little blonde haired, blue eyed angel, until I remembered that she is really just the devil in disguise:p }(. I LOVE the mint cookie but I haven't bought them in years.

I've been buying these whole grain cookies that my grocery store bakes in house. They're not bad. They're about as healthy as you're gonna get for a cookie.

Soothe the PMS beast??? Are you supposed to do that? I like to encourage mine. It seems to give those around me such pleasure when I'm evil }(

And hey, I didn't give up chips for Lent!

Hi ladies -

I am still asleep I think. I worked until after midnight, and then finally feel asleep after 2 am. Then had to come in early. At least I am leaving early today (4:30) for a haircut! I really need a haircuit, I look horrible.

Encouraging PMS? That is so funny. I love to use it as an excuse - "I don't have to apologize for yelling at you, it was PMS's fault."

Hi everyone, I am in a very bad mood today. I have been so hungry lately so I've been snacking way too much & I know I have gained weight. I swear I look at food & I gain weight.

So, it is now back to just starving myself and being hungry all the time until I lose this weight...don't get me wrong I will still eat but it seems like if I eat more than 1500-1600 calories/day I gain. Granted I haven't been as careful at counting so I am sure I am eating more than I think but I know when I only eat 1500 I am always hungry. Oh well, I'd rather be hungry than not fit into my clothes.

Okay, enough of me complaining-I am doing Leg Blast Premix of B&G tonight w/ the floor work added on.

I will BBL after my w/o tonight. Sorry to be such a downer.

Hi all. I'm super busy at work and the few times I've logged onto the Cathe forums, I've been busy in <--land. I'll try to catch up here and post more later. Boot Camp is on tap for this afternoon. Later.

Good morning girls!!! Oh, its good to me on a Friday morning. (hold on, gloating is coming....)

New job, I just got my tax return, and my best friend is due on my doorstep in about three hours for two fun-filled days of shopping and general revelry. YYYAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

Ok, I'm done.

I hope you guys are going to enjoy your weekends half as much as I will. From the sounds of it, Dana, Michele, and Shelley have wild and crazy weekend planned. You go girls. Pita-pizzas, grocery shopping, and salad?? Don't get too crazy on me.

Just kidding. (secretly, that's what every single one of my weekends has looked like for the past 6 years!) I think I'm due for some revelry. I think we all are!! Getting all the haters together would be SO MUCH fun! We'll have to pick a spot that's in between all of us... But because August's in Tokyo, that would probably be in the middle of the Pacific or something.

Michele - You are cracking me up!! I love the ETLC diet. I abide by that one religiously. And I totally agree about not depriving yourself. It spells trouble when Arista hasn't had chocolate that day. Have fun on your road trip!! I love sunshine.

Sunshine, where are you?? That would make the day perfect.

Whole grain cookies? Where can I get those? I bet I could make a killer batch of ww chocolate chippers... hmmm, that might be a good project for Sunday.

Shelley - I love your take on PMS. It is a great excuse for bad behavior. I use it at least once a month on Ryan! Its also a good excuse for eating chips.. so get to work! :)

Dana - I hope you feel 100% better soon. Have a good time at your mom's tomorrow.

Diane - That's too bad about your lack of sleep! You need to be gettin' your rest girl. I hope you can take more of a break this weekend.

Mariah, Robin, Jen, Terri, and anyone I may have missed: HAVE A TERRIFIC WEEKEND!!! I'll check back tomorrow afternoon.

Robin - enjoy bootcamp! Haven't done that one since the summer.

Shelley - I get terrible PMS about every other month or so. Last month I was such a bi%#h I wanted to smack my co-worker right upside the head just for breathing. I feel your pain!!! You will not be held responsible for any wrong doings this week.

Jen - you exercise so much which is probably why you are so hungry. Unless TTOM is on the way. How much have you gained? Don't starve yourself, you hear!!! How long will your workout take tonight? That sounds like a LONG one. Did you meet Kate? She hasn't been on here in awhile but she was the queen of B&G - you and her would've hit it off. I swear she did B&G 4x/week!

Michele - I try to keep cookies in the freezer too. Homemade cookies that is. We have a freezer in our garage so I put them in there. That way they are out of the house! You did great - I would've eaten them all at once too if they would've been in free range. Thanks for the exercise tidbit.

Cookies, cookies, cookies. All this talk has given me cravings. My mam-mam used to make the best cookies. They are kinda like the texture of a white cake w/vanilla icing and coconut on them. I'm thinking that they would be even better if you put a bit of coconut extract in the icing. And they are so good frozen - seriously, they rock!!! I will hang in there until April 8th!

Oh and when I was doing the mail this morning at work, one of the teachers sent me a HUGE dark chocolate bar. She took her class to Hershey's Chocolate Facatory the other day and got me some candy. Wasn't that sweet of her? I buried in my desk drawer so I'm not tempted.

So far I'm doing great w/the no coffee or Diet Pepsi. I've been drinking 2 cups of tea instead and so far no withdrawal headaches and I"m sleeping much better AND I'm drinking over 100oz of water too. If I don't lose any weight in the next 38 days, I will know that sweets and junk are not to blame!!!

Have a great day ladies! :p :+ }(

Howdy do all. I finally have my work cleaned up and a few minutes to play.

Arista, have a great time this weekend! And congratulations on the new job. LOL about a GTG in the middle of the Pacific. Hey, wouldn't that be Hawaii? I could handle that.

Dana, good job on your Lenten sacrifices. No, Greyor isn't home yet. He is unhooked from everything, but they are still suctioning junk out of his lungs. Maybe he'll get home today. Hey, spring is right around the corner. We need to have our own little GTG. I'm thinking some nice afternoon we could meet over at Montour preserve and walk. Bring the boys.

Jen, I've been super hungry lately too. I never feel full. Maybe it's just the midwinter blahs. I doubt you've gained any weight though.

Diane, why are you working such long hours. You need your rest. Don't forget, you are sleeping for two now. When I was pregnant with my first I discovered the joys of a mid-afternoon nap.

Shelley, you PMS monster, you. So sorry it's Sophieless week coming up. Did your ex ever call about Sophie's evaluation? Do you have to do any painting in the kitchen? My DD dropped a class of apple cider on the floor when she was about 5. The cider flew in a perfect arch over the kitchen ceiling. It stained and is there to this day. Maybe I'll paint the kitchen when I'm done with the bedroom.

Michele, have fun playing today. I laugh everytime I see a reference to your ETLC diet. I've afraid even freezing them wouldn't stop me from over indulging.

August, what do you say. Wanna have a GTG in Hawaii. I bet it would be easier for you to get there then me. I'm glad you got your fruit sold before it all rotted. Nothing worse then a Nintendo full of rotten fruit.

Hi the Terri, Mariah and any one else out there.

All most time to leave. Grocery shopping, Boot Camp and dinner are all the excitment I can handle tonight.

A Hawaii GTG? That sounds wonderful. Count me in!!!

Robin, as soon as it gets warm we'll have to get together to walk. Last time I was over there it was a mushy mess! Wear your old shoes!!!

Only 25 minutes til quitting time - I don't think this day is ever going to end.

Hey August & everybody-how is everyone?-I just cannot seem to get on these threads anymore and I know I'm no busier than alot of you-whats my problem? but it's sooo fun to see August go-"debbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb..................................... when i check back in now & then-anyways-Robin-I hope little Greyor is doing better- hello to Mariah, Michele, Arista, Diane, Dana, Jen, Terri, Janjan, Kate & Shelley and anyone else I've missed--see ya--deb

Why do I have to work so long? Because my boss told me too, part of the job. Have you stay until it is done. You can file documents electronically until midnight in federal court, and one of my bosses edits until the very last minute so we always file at midnight. My poor secretary was here until 3 a.m. finishing up. They don't know I am preggo yet, and won't for another month. Hopefully they may ask someone else to stay once they know x( But that is just part of the job, which is why I am planning on being a SAHM :) The other girl that stayed with me has a 9 month old, and my boss who also stayed until midnight has a 5 month old. I can't imagine doing that. My DH is also an attorney with crazy hours (he is staying late tonight) so we would have to have a nanny that could stay all hours of the night if needed. Wouldn't work.

I heard the other day that I could also work as a part time contract attorney from home for $50 an hour! No benefits and a no career potential, but at least I can be at home. I will probably do that for a while when I kids start school but too young to stay home alone.
