Good morning
just checking in and spreading the good news
The adoption procedure has finally ended and My daughter and her partner will be bringing home their new child from Russia, Her name is JennaLorraine and she is a beautiful 8 month old girl, coming to live in a home filled with love.
And im now officially a Grandmother again..

Good morning Mariah and all!

I was just getting ready to start our thread when I noticed your post, Mariah. Congratulations on your new grandbaby!! What a beautiful name! How many grandchildren do you have? Are you preparing to spoil her rotten? Grandparents are allowed to do that, you know--lol!

August, are you there? It must be about 11PM in Tokyo -- I hope you can poke in for a minute to say hello before going to bed:* Oh, I would be happy to be one of the official Hater's chefs if you promise to be the smoothie maker (no green smoothies, please:p :7 ).

I just want to take a moment to say OMG, all these recipes sound so yummy!! I've copied them into my computer recipe file and I can't wait to try some of them. That corn pudding is making my mouth water:9 .

Arista, did you find some nice chocolates for Ryan? My DH and I really don't do up V-Day too much. He sends me flowers sometimes but not every year. We never go out but sometimes I make a nice dinner. There are other special occasions that mean a lot more to me like, our wedding anniversary. My DH will have a late day at work this year so I'll probably make a big pot of soup. He'll eat and go straight to bed -- to sleep -- LMAO. He has to get up early in the morning for work so we don't do too much "celebrating" on week nights. --I'm going to have to check out that foodfit website.

Jen, I cannot believe how much you accomplished on a Sunday morning:eek:. Don't you ever have a lazy day? I bow to your greatness! --Let's see, what DID I have for brunch? I don't remember now. I think I had poached eggs and this wonderful toast made with 5 seed ww bread. I have several imported Italian spreads for the toast, like blood orange marmalade and a chocolate chestnut butter. OMG, they were so good :9. I know what you mean about pancakes. I love them but I rarely make them anymore. I used to make mine from scratch with WW flour and buttermilk. I usually put some kind of fruit in them, usually blueberries, and I always used real maple syrup. Actually, maple syrup is pretty good. Yes, it's a sweetener, but it's all natural and better than cane sugar. Have you ever tried it?

Arista and Jen, your workout schedules look great. I think I'm still sticking with Cathe's Feb rotation even thought I didn't really follow it last week. I'll try harder this week...I swear:D

Okay girls, as the founder of Cardiohateville I'm establishing a new rule. NO SELF DENIGRATING REMARKS!!! You are all beautiful, inside and out. This is my rule, kay?

High Step Training -- ;( ;( . The only high step workout I have is the beg/intermediate one and that's hard enough for me. Oh, to be young again;)

Terri, I am officially going crazy now trying to figure out which song you're talking about--lol! --I like S&L too, once I got past her appearance. She is so thin -- too thin IMHO. And I really wish she'd do something with that hair. I desperately want to pull it back in a ponytail or something. --It's been really cold in Ohio, too. It dropped below zero at night over the weekend but it's warmed up to about 27 this morning. It's amazing how warm 27 feels after it's been -2.

Robin, Diane, Dana, Kate (where are you!?!?!?), Jana, Deb -- good morning to you and how were your weekends?

It's time to get ready for a workout:D ;( :D

Good morning Michele, Mariah and all to follow.

Mariah, congratulations! That is wonderful news.

I have some not so wonderful news and am asking for some prayers. My grandson is in pediatric ICU with an RSV (respiratory syncetial virus) infection. He was getting breathing treatments at home for a wheeze since Friday and Sunday about midnight, his breathing became very labored and he was pale and lethargic. We rushed him to the local ER at the hospital where I work. They started oxygen and more treatments, but he was still having a hard time breathing, so they life-flighted him to a bigger hospital with the ped ICU. He is on a ventilator, but the doctor said if he doesn't get worse, he could be weaned off that in a day or two. We're just thankful we know what the problem is. We had feared the breathing difficulty was due, in some way, to his brain damage. The infection can be very severe in infants, but the doctor feels he will be alright.

So, probably another day without a workout for me.

I'm so sorry to hear about Greyor. That little guy has sure been through it. And you must be exhausted! I will definitely keep a prayer vigil going for Greyor and ALL of you. Are you home today? I would hope you stayed home from work after the night you had to endure. Please rest and don't worry about your workout. I'll workout for you, I promise:* .

All my prayers Robin

I know that feelings, you feel so helpless, we raised our children kissing the booboos better then something happens that we cant make better, whether serious injury or emotional hurt and it just makes us feel like we NEED to do something
So I will keep you and him and your family in my prayers

Even if you cant exersize you can be consious of tightening muscles and then relaxing them pulling in tummy holding then releasing
things like that, It just will give you a sense of control.

I have 3 grandchildren now. 2 in Michigan Andrew who will be 4 in April and Kennedy who will be 2 in July Now This new baby will be in New Jersey, so my chances of spoiling are a bit limited but i just send as much love as i can and I will try and see how many times ill be able to get there to see them
When my grandson was born i flew to Mich every month, but lifes circumstances have changed and finances dont allow that now. But im sure i will find the means

Robin, my heart breaks for you and your family. I will definitely keep you and Greyor in my prayers. How old is Greyor? Keep us posted on his progress.

Mariah, Congratulations on your new grandbaby! Have you seen pictures of her yet?

August, where are you? I miss your morning commentary...:)

Arista, DH and I exchange romantic, gushy cards every year. He's fantastic with words (you all thought I was going to say something else, didn't you? You dirty-minded women, you...}( )and I love his little messages. Those are the best "gifts."

Michele, I love to cook as well. I'd love to have a copy of your WW buttermilk pancakes with blueberries. Sounds soooo good! Maybe we can share some of our favorite recipes. I'll have to check out foodfit.com as I'm always looking for new foods to try.

I did 40 minutes on the treadmill this a.m. followed up by the floorwork from B&G. However, my cramps were so bad from Big Red (TMI, I know) that I had to cut it short.

And to comply with Michele's new rule, I love my big thighs. They are so strong and firm, I just love 'em!:9

Jen, I just saw on the morning news that Obama had a busy weekend in your neck of the woods. I got to see part of the city where you live! Did you partake in any of the festivities? This presidential election could shape up into something interesting with all the potential candidates. I emailed you later last night.

Have great workouts everyone - goal for today: eat clean!

Terri

I'd be happy to share my pancake recipe. I'll post it later today or tomorrow.

BWAHAHAHAHA...inhale...BWAHAHAHAHA...OMG that is too funny!

I'd like to thank you for complying with the new rule and I would point out to the rest of you that this is what's expected from now on, kay?:p

Robin - I'm so sorry to hear about Greyor. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts until everything is better...I'm sure it will be soon. Try to take a short walk or something if you can, because it'll help you de-stress. I'll work out for you too!! Hang in there.

Terri - WOW! Good job on working out through those cramps. There is nothing quite as debilitating for me. I take the the liberty of NOT working out for those first couple days. Yeah, I was surprised to find all the tasty 'non-diet' type recipes that were on this foodfit.com site that I can supposedly lose weight eating. Hot chocolate with real semi-sweet chocolate!! yum

Good job Terri! I love my big strong thighs too! I may not be able to wear skinny jeans, but really, who wants that anyway?? I'd rather squat 150 pounds. }(

And no, no chocolates for Ryan. I'm trying to think of something orginal for V-day. We'll see how that goes!

<<My DH will have a late day at work this year so I'll probably make a big pot of soup. He'll eat and go straight to bed -- to sleep -- LMAO. He has to get up early in the morning for work so we don't do too much "celebrating" on week nights>>

ROTFLMAO!!!

Ryan works late nights too... I'm right there with ya. But then he feels the need to sleep for 10 hours. Why do some people seems to need so much more sleep than others?? I personally get 7 hours and I'm good to go. Well, I guess I'll let him indulge now, 'cause when/if we have a child, he won't be so lucky then!! }(

OK, I better get a workout in before starting my work-day. Talk to ya'll later...:*

OK Ive had it whew
I just completed 1/2 hour Gilad and he ended with some intense abs workout then i got Cathe on FIT TV but its with a stability ball, which i dont have, so i did the best i could mimicking her moves. got to about 15 mins when i thought my back would break
so now im off to cleaning and laundry
how much fun to have a day off LOL

My jiggling tummy keeps me on a beat when im listening to great blues music so i enjoy it,,, booom boom swish chugga chugga wow

Here are the words to THAT song on LIC to the best of my ability:

Do you, ever let a day go by, without my love, well right now, don’t give it up for someone new and I really can’t believe it, that I would let you know what I thought of you, this would never happen to me and you, but baby, yeah, yeah, I would never let you go, I would rather let you know

Chorus:
just realize, ______________ yearning, I’m burning, you’re on mind, every day, every night. (repeat 4 times)

It seems that heaven (?) it just ain’t enough, just ain’t enough,
And I, _________________ it makes it tough to watch you walk away, ‘cuz I anticipate I believe in me, my love for you__________________ baby, yeah, yeah, I would never let you go, I would rather let you know (chorus)

Michele, I agree with your thoughts on Jari. She's way, way to skinny and needs to pull back her hair. It just accentuates her long features. But I do like her workouts. The younger woman in her cast has incredible arms!

Hi ladies. Just popping in here quickly. I have no idea what any of you were up to over the weekend b/c I didn't turn the computer on all weekend.

Robin - I'm sorry that Greyor is sick. I will keep him in my prayers. RSV is scary - I'm glad that he is somewhere where he is getting great care.

Mariah - what great news. I new grandbaby. I hope that you are able to find some time to go visit.

Michele - I made homemade pancakes yesterday. Please share you WW recipe. I know that ones that I made couldn't have been very healthy. (although I did use 2% milk)

Arista - how is your eating plan coming along?

Jen - I took your advice and bought a LC brick oven pizza. I got the gourmet mushroom one. I haven't tried it yet.

Hi to August, Terri, Kate, Jana Diane, and Deb.

I didn't workout at all this weekend. x( I had company on Friday night. Saturday when I woke up I discovered TTOM has arrived, which explains why I've been so tired lately. I cleaned and did grocery shopping. Pretty boring weekend actually. We're supposed to get quite a bit of snow tomorrow into Wednesday. Yuck!!!!

Hopefully I'll get in a decent workout tonight. I'm thinking either a circuit or total body since I haven't done anything since last Tuesday.

Have a great day everyone!

I just did Google on just about every combination of words to that song with no result
did you say its on low impact and if its cathe's cant you write or call the maker of the tape or write cathe herself???

I've emailed 2 D.J.s, and Big Beat Music who produced the song but no one has answered me yet. I haven't tried Cathe because I feel like she's so busy with other things that I needn't bother her with something like this. I've googled as well and even went to Big Beat Music.com and listened to all the songs just to find it. No such luck. There is even a Cathe CD that I purchased for $8 just because I thought it may be there. Nothing. I swear the song only exists in my mind at this point.

The song is on Low Impact Cardio during the Step Blast #1 segment.

w4iohuw4tjoiwe4hhhhh4oueejisdkllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

oh sorry, I just feel asleep on my keyboard at my desk. I am so tired today. Work is really busy, so I will keep it short.

We told all the parents and Michael's sister this weekend. They were all excited and very surprised. My sister doesn't know yet, since she lives the farthest away and probably won't get the frame until today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, she called me Saturday telling me her and her husband are on the rocks, partly because of the baby issue (he wants one, she wants to work a little longer) so this couldn't be more horrible timing for me to tell her my news. Hopefully she will be able to be happy for me.

Today and this weekend I was feeling a bit queasy, and I only want to eat bland, starchy foods. Salad sounds so yucky and I can't eat it. Alright I have to get back to work. So to just blab about the baby and then run.

Diane, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope they can work through it. Baby issues can be so tough when a couple cannot agree on the ifs and whens. I'll keep your sister in my prayers. As for you, you're welcome to talk all you want to about your pregnancy.:D

Terri, now yo have me obsessed with finding out the name of that $^%$*$ song! LMAO

I can't make out the whole thing but here's the first verse:

Well you never ??????? without my love.
Right now you're giving it to someone new
And I really can't believe ????????
This cannot be happenin to me and you
???????
But baby I can never let you go
I would rather let you know

Chorus:
I realize that I've been yearnin and burnin
You're on my mind everyday every night
Repeat 4 x's

I can't make out the 2nd verse at all

I've googled...I've got nothin
x(

Dana!! I almost missed your post. Hey, don't feel bad. I did one Eli workout over the weekend and that was it. The rest of the weekend I stuffed myself like a pigx( :9

I'm just getting ready to do my workout -- cardio. It's supposed to be a 45 minute steady state so I'm hopping back on Eli. I hope you can get something in today. I'm looking for my pancake recipe. I haven't used it in so long that I don't remember where I put it. I have recipes stashed everywhere -- the FlyLady would have a fit!

Terri, Cathe answered your question, sort of. The title of the song is Realize but she doesn't know who the artist is. Searching, I came to REALIZE that there are about 5962 different songs with that title -- LMAO!
