Happy Birthday Arista! I know that looks like a generic greeting compared to the colorful b-day wishes you got but hey, I don't know how to do that fancy shmancy stuff! Hope you had a great day!!!
Hi Robin in VT! That is a relief for you that your mom's new place is nice. I remember when my mam-mam was in a nursing home and it was horrible. It was a county home so go figure. So does she like it?
Jen - how are you feeling? Did you find any cool shoes online?
JT - good luck with the job you applied for!
Michele - did you guys do anything fun today?
Hey August, Jana, Diane and anyone else!!!
OK, listen to this. I am 100% serious - this is not a joke either. Ya know how yesterday I was saying that I'm the only hater that doesn' t have a cat? Last night I was in the kitchen and DH was outside and he comes in saying to me am I feeding cats again? I was clueless b/c I haven't been feeding any cats. During the winter I was - there were some WILD cats that you couldn't even get near but I felt bad b/c it was winter so I bought them a bag of cat food and the snooty snoots wouldn't even go near it. Anyway, I asked my DH why and he said there was a kitten out in the yard. So I go out and yes, there was this tiny little kitten. It was a weird color - like a very pale orange with a white face. Maybe 5-6 weeks???? But then I see another one, just like the other but no white on his face, then another, a brown tiger and yes, another but this one was older, maybe 5-6 months? He was an orange tiger and yes, one more, a black one with beautiful green eyes, the same size as the orange tiger. I near died, 5 cats in my yard!!!! The poor kittens were sooo skinny and boney, the brown tiger was sneezing and one of the pale orange ones could barely open its eyes, they were all gooped up. And their ears were so gross, very dirty. The 2 pale ones were pretty friendly, the brown tiger was skittish but you could tell it wanted to be social, the black one was just a spooky cat and the orange tiger was wild. It was climbing up the trees. I came into the house and got the bag of food I had and put it out in a bowl for them. I felt so bad for the pale orange ones b/c my boys were carrying them all over. Gannon was carrying one by its head and then he threw it. I was so mad but the cats didn't even care. Then I took Ralphie out on his leash to see what he would do b/c he never saw a cat before. He was going crazy, you could see he wanted to play. Once again, 3 hated him and the other 2 did hiss but they weren't afraid of him. We have no idea where they came from but they were gone today. We have quite a bit of farms around us so maybe from one of the neighboring farms butyou would think that the kittens wouldn't be so skinny. Unless they had worms or something. Poor babies. Gabe went out for the bowl and it was empty. I did put another one out for them so I'll see if all the food is gone. Hopefully I"m feeding cats and not some other critter.
Oh, I don't know if I told you guys this story or not but I have to because it gives me the heebie jeebies and b/c it is cat chat and you all love cat chat. My co-worker told me that her dad has 53 cats. Isn't that horrid???? I think "horder" but she honestly thinks it is normal. She told me that her dad has many entrances for the cats to get in and out of the house and that he has his yard fenced in and fenced above so they can't escape. He even has an old camper in the yard for the cats. I'm sorry but I can't see how sanitary that is having 53 cats and letting them roam as they please. Anyway, my co-workers step mom got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and when she came back into her bedroom she noticed a pair of eyes glowing in her bedroom that didn't look quite right. So called for her husband and when he turned on the light guess what was in her bed? A opossum!!!! Or is it spelled Possum? However you spell it, that is gross! The hair on my arms stood up when she told me that. Have any of you ever see one of those live and in person? They are mean, ugly and scary. They look like a GIANT bald rat. OMG gross. Wonder how long that critter was living in there house. Heck with 53 cats, I wonder what else is living in their home?
Well, I'm going to go change Gan's diaper and watch some tv.
Have a great rest of the weekend!!!
