HATE - Apr 9

August

Cathlete
Good morning!

How dare the Japanese television have a show about how hot the earth is getting as years go by, when I'm sitting here in my (cue echo effect) The Warm Outfit with the heater on in practically the middle of April!

http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/eyebrow.gif

Did my Winsor Buns & Thighs....and I've actually got slight DOMS from the Pilates I did yesterday! http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/confused1.gif I certainly hope that's because I haven't done that workout in ages, and not because.....not because.....I've become wimpy. http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/dry.gif

LOL.

All right. I'm off to make my smoothie and then do some work before I get dressed and out the door.

DANA - LOL at you cleaning your home or three days to get out of doing cardio!

I've read a lot of people saying that the BFL free day either saves you or totally funks you up. I remember Michele and I talking about how we thought those free days were a good way for teaching yourself how to binge, so unless you're extremely disciplined, I can't imagine how free days could be "healthy."

The other night when I couldn't sleep, I did the dangerous. LOL. Yes, Yahoo Shopping. And I bought a bunch of Myoplex Lite shakes. And then I figured out a rotation using Cathe IMAX HIIT stuff (just the blasts) this and that, plus the Pyramids (yes, I do have them!). As soon as my big project is finished, I'm thinking to try it out this kind of BFL rotation. Remind me - were you doing your HIIT first thing in the morning on an empty stomach? That's the part that I'm weary about.

>should get an elliptical though. Do you have room in your apartment?

Don't tease me! You know very well I've measured my apartment about a thousand times, each time in hopes that my space had grown since the last time I measured!! LOL.

Gabe likes the tea and was asking about me? Oh, how sweet! I'm so happy you told me that!

>he remembers meeting you at the mall???

Perhaps.......in a DREAM?! LOL.

>I must be having a sugar shock

LMAO. That's great that you aren't craving your soda. Oh, and I checked out the nutso rotation you're considering. Good gawd, Dana, that's a ton of exercise.

JEN - Ooh, I love that slightly sore body feeling, too! How was Cool It Off? Is that an hour stretch workout?

TAMMY - Yes, feel free to blame me if you spend the morning motionless in bed and then fall back asleep again, missing breakfast, work and family. The important task at hand is remembering your dream and nothing else. http://www.smileyhut.com/happy/happy.gif

Come here, Smoothie!

Have a fantastic day, everyone! :D

Hi August. Throw something at the TV! It's still freezing here too. Easter here was colder than Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I heard a commentator on the radio saying global warming isn't that big a deal. A few remote islanders will have to leave their huts and move, but otherwise, it will mean more areas will have better crop growing weather.

So who's jumping on my clean eating/better workout bandwagon this morning? Lent is behind us, so maybe some of you are still splurging, but I really need to get things under control. I stupidly got on the scale this morning and see that I have a lot of work a head of me. Then I looked at the calender and see that I have a busy week full of churchy meetings in the evening, not leaving a whole lot of time for workouts. I think that I'll just do a CTX rotation this week and focus on the diet issues. DH said he'd like to lose a few pounds, so it should be easier to plan meals with that in mind.

How many of you have another day off? I'm headed for work, but will check back in later. Have a wonderful day all.

Morning haters!

Ugh, I loathe Mondays. But yes, Robin, I'm jumping on that bandwagon. This is what I ate yesterday - breakfast was fine, dinner was okay, and in between was an orgy of Wheat Thins and Pumpkin Biscuits that I baked. Even though Lent is over, I intend to continue through the week with my no baked goods, no chocolate thing.

August - it's abso-bloody-lutely freezing here. I want to curl up in a blanket and not come out until (a) the sun comes out and (b) it's warmer. I don't think my boss would approve though. *sigh*

I need to go pack myself a nice clean lunch and snacks for the day. I have to go to the grocery store today to pick up soy milk and I'm determined to NOT pick up anything else!!!

Thanks to everyone for your support lately. I have lots on my plate and I'm trying to work through things. It really, truly helps to know that there are people I can lean on:)

Good morning Haters

Im going to real estate office this morning where i will be bored for 4 1/2 hours so sending the link to this group there so i can at least read
hope to exersize when i get home
thinking about a new hair do cutting it and coloring it professionally
since i moved to fla ive been broke and have been having my cousin color my hair, well i think it has been ruined and is brittle and "dead"
so my long beautiful hair no longer will keep a nice wave etc
im gonna go and consult as to what to do about it and how much it will cost
hell the older we get the more we have to worry about looking good which came more naturally when we were younger

see you later

Morning ladies. Today is my last day off of work and then tomorrow, back to reality. I hate reality.

August - do you have a studio apartment or do you have a separate bedroom? Maybe you could fit the elliptical in there? Didn't you say you have 2 couches? Maybe get rid of one? OR . . . put the eli in mom's apartment? I'm sure she'd love that. }( Or you could fly over to my house in your private jet every other day to use mine for 20 minutes. Ha!!! Did you have a nice sleep last night? I usually have very vivid and weird dreams. Kind of entertaining to make up for my boring life. Ha!!! I stumbled on to a pretty cool show last night on LifeTime - do you get LifeTime in Japan? It is called BloodTies. It is a police drama type show but one of the characters is a vampire. A pretty darn hot vampire too! Ha! Also, do you get American VH1? I am embarrassed to say that I got hooked into a reality show - actually, it was Flavor of Love 1 & 2 and then the spinoff from that, I Love New York. Yes it is trash tv but I can't help myself. My DH gets so mad when he comes up to bed and I have it on. Of course for someone who hates it, he hasn't missed an episode thanks to me. He said the only reason he watches is it #1 I won't change the channel and #2 he can't believe how stupid it is and that people actually watch it. Oh well.

Jen - I don't know if I bulk up from high step or step. How bad does that sound? I have never had "skinny" legs so I guess I can't answer that. I printed out the rotation and I have it right here so let me see, OK, I tweaked it b/c I didn't have some of the workouts. Here are the ones that would use the step: Imax 2 (2x in the rotation), C&W, Cardio Fusion Premix, HSTA, Body Max 2. Then of course the leg presses on the high step in ME and PLB. I'm not doing the running though. I try to walk 2 miles at work and I can sub the running for the same amount of time on the elliptical. I think if I had a treadmill I might try running but since I don't have one . . . :p

Robin - I'll be back on the clean eating wagon tomorrow. I had 3 cookies for breakfast (I put the other two in baggies and put in the freezer). I go back to work tomorrow and I do much better with my eating when I'm in a routine.

Shelley - I should've joined you and steared clear from the junk after Lent. I felt really sick to my stomach after eating all that crap yesterday. What's on tap for your workout today?

Mariah - try to have a nice EXCITING day. Is today the training that you went to on the wrong day? So what kind of new do are you considering? What does your hair look like right now? Color? I keep thinking about getting highlights but I'm afraid of the maintenance. It will cost me about $100 for highlights and I don't hve that kind of money to get them done every 3 months or so. But, I'm starting to get a lot of grays in the crown of my head and I"m not liking it!!!

Tammi - I'll be right over to clean. I really don't like to clean, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. And I've said this before, I live with the 3 little piggies.

Deb - how are you doing w/P90X? Do you recommend it?

Today is another gloomy day here. It is cold outside so we'll be cooped up in the house again. I thought about trying to workout but I don't know how that would go. All my workout stuff is in the basement and we don't have a railing going up the stairs and Gannon likes to climb. I think I"m going to do the August 04 rotation and today calls for Legs and Glutes and a 20 minute run (20 min on the eli). I have never, ever, ever completed a rotation. I think that the furthest that I've ever gone is 2 weeks into one. Why is that???

Nothing exciting going on here today at all. Going to do some laundry and pack up the Easter Candy. I"m leaving some out but the majority is getting put in the freezer. I won't have to buy candy for a year - that is the truth! Gannon has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. 18 month check-up and shots!
:( :( :( :(

Have a great Monday everyone else. I"ll BBL.:*

Okay, I'm at work. Blah.

Mariah - I'm with you on the haircut thing. Mine is getting really long and the ends are gross and it needs colouring. I just never seem to get around to doing it. I have the colour in the cabinet in the bathroom, but didn't do it this weekend. I hope the R/E office isn't TOO boring!

Dana - I tried hard not to overdo it yesterday, because a couple of weeks ago on my birthday, I ate a big cookie from Starbucks and felt incredibly sick after. My workout today will be CTX Upper Body Split and some sort of abs. I never do rotations either. I make up my own, sometimes using pieces of Cathe rotations. And even when I make up my own (which I do monthly), I often change things.

I hope your day is nice, even though you're stuck inside.

Hello! Hello!

Oh boy, you guys were chatty over the weekend! I'm all caught up but I don't have time to post a big reply right now. I'm just about to walk out the door for a full day of errands and general running around ;( . I'll BBL this afternoon to play some.

Hugs, hugs, :* :* :* , hugs and more :* :* :*

I miss you crazy chicks!
:* :* :*

I'll be back:* :* :*

I'm back from work. I wore my (cue echo effect) The Warm Outfit, plus a thick fuzzy scarf and my long down jacket. Let me say that again. My LONG DOWN JACKET.

The Japanese are a very seasonally-correct people. Everyone was wearing pastels and fluttery things, while I was wearing my LONG DOWN JACKET. Thankfully, I had taken off the hood, at least, in an attempt to make it appear more Spring-like. http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/poorfool.gif

Well, heck, at least I was the only warm person outside!

ROBIN - I've also heard that because of the supposedly warmer climate, new strange bugs are popping up here and there. Oh, goodie.

That reminds me, I wonder how Michele's ants are doing.

I am so going to jump on your bandwagon.......when I catch up to it in a couple weeks. I've been finding myself thinking about my workout plan so much these days. I do feel ready to go back to how I've been working out and eating. I'll be armed with my new rotation, some new protein powders and hopefully sunshine so that I don't have to heat up my room in order to get undressed to workout LOL. For sure you're going to inspire me!

SHELLEY - Your pumpkin biscuit orgy sounded divine. I bet they tasted way better than the pumpkin I put in a veggie stew the other night - Mom and I enjoyed the texture of pumpkin, and that's about it. It was amazing how pumpkin could be void of any taste whatsoever.

ETA : The pumpkin was void of taste because that was the way the poor pumpkin was. It was not due to my lack of cullinary skills. I wanted to be specific here, as it usually IS my lack of cullinary skills that are to blame.

I know we're really just getting to know each other, but I'm certainly around if you ever want to let go of stuff.

MARIAH - Oooh, new hair plans! That could be fun! Do you have a color and style in mind?......I wonder if you're at the Real Estate Office right now...

DANA - LOL, you do not have a brick oven, and I do not have two couches. I think you might be referring to where I work, where we have one super long couch that didn't fit, so we split it into one normal couch plus a sofa chair. I've tried to convince my work partner that we need to get a treadmill and also a puppy dog, but our workplace is already relatively crowded.

My apartment has two rooms. One small room, and one tiny room. My tiny room is my work space. And there is no extra space in there, for sure. My small room is my living room/kitchen/laundry room/bedroom. If I were to get rid of my couch, I could get a treadmill or elliptical. But then I wouldn't have a place to sit, since the only chair I have is my Fitball LOL.

I do like the idea of flying out to use yours, though. Problem is is I'm lending my private jet out to a friend.... http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/dry.gif

As for cable TV, I don't have it. But I don't think that many American cable shows are broadcast here. http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/Confuzzled.gif

MICHELE - Hey, you! We missed you! Good luck with your errands and see you later!

Okay, now a little work before I go to bed.

Later!

Hi Everyone -

How is everyone? I really need to get caught up, I am very much out of the loop here. I will am going to read a few days worth of posts and try to see what everyone is up to.

Nothing much going on here. I started feeling little kicks and flutters every once in a while. It is pretty funny feeling.

Alright, I am going to go back and read some posts. I will be back later.

I dont know why but all of a sudden i have to newly log in every time i want to post
Dianne
I am so excited for you
I remember my first pregnance we didnt do sonograms then so we didnt get to see baby developing but those first flutters, those first bubbles of feeling, were the first REAL awareness we had of life within us OH how wonderful and what a miracle

Shelly
What do you want to do to your hair
I have long layered hair blonde but need to get it done professionally so i can get rid of the damage
I dont want to cut it but i may not have that option and I have to wear it up when im waitressing

OK Yes Im in the office now
we have a listing for 75,000 fr a tornado damaged duplex had 3 calls on it one from a woman who wants to buy a home not a duplex with land on the water and not pay more then $75,000 I didnt tell her but, if i found one like that Id buy it myself id sell my body for the down payment if needed
Florida 58 degrees right now brrr

Can never plan anything had all kinds of plans for leaving office at 1 going about hair etc
Someone called about the tornado damaged home and he will call me at 1 pm to see if i can show it at 3 pm
any lead is a good lead i just hope he calls
so, that might be the end of my plans

does anone know anything about free web pages id like to start one I just ordered magnet signs for my car and wouldnt mind putting the web site on it

Mariah where is Arista when we need her right??? I don't know anywhere (or anything) about free webpages. Sorry. So are you officially back into real estate? Cool!

August - put the new exercise equipment in the hallway. LOL There has got to be SOMEWHERE to put it. I know that there are some models that fold up, is that even an option???

I did L&G, going to finish up with 20 min on the elliptical and maybe some abs????

Hi Diane!!! :) That is neat that you are finally feeling the baby kick.

I almost forgot to say hi to you Michele. HELLO!!!

OK, I"m off to make dinner. We're having steak on the grill. I need to wear my coat b/c it is so cold here!!!

Later gaters!

I'm having an incredibly bad day. I have a BIG prayer request. A very dear friend called today to tell me she has breast cancer. She's a little younger than me -- 50 or so -- and she's married to a wonderful guy, and they have 2 GREAT kids.

She had a biopsy last week and she goes back to the surgeon tomorrow to find out how advanced it is. She said the lump is very big and that it was NOT caught early. :-(

I feel like somebody kicked me in the gut. She's really special to me and we go back a long way. I hardly ever see her anymore since she and her DH moved away, but we've kept our friendship going with frequent marathon phone calls. I cannot imagine my life without her in it.

I haven't been able to stop crying and I'm kind of not in the mood to play today. I'll BBL or tomorrow. Your prayers are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Michele
Prayers are ordered for tonite
I am sorry I know what its like to have a friend like that and I could not imagine life without my best friend either even though we no longer live near each other

Michele ~ Prayers for you, your friend and her family :-( :-( I hate it when bad things happen to good people.

Michele,

I'm sorry about the horrible news your friend got.
It's totally understandable that you're not in the mood to play.
Just come back when you feel more like it and know you have a LOT of support here.

I'm praying for your friend and her family, and for you too.
hugs,

Good evening haters, I am finally home, worked out, and showered now. Monday's can be so long sometimes!

August- Yeah, cool it off was an hour stretching...I did about 45 minutes of it. It is good, I just can't bring myself to devote that long to stretching on a regular basis. I am excited to get the new one she just did, which is 20 or 30 minutes & comes with the new series I just ordered from her. I will try to do that one twice a month on weekends. I've had cool it off for 3 years & yesterday was the 2nd time I've used it!

Robin- I was back at work with you today. I didn't get any days off for Easter. How was your Monday?

Shelley- Pumpkin is very heatlhy for you, lots of fiber. My mom follows weight watchers & she makes pumpkin muffins all the time, just pick a cake mix & mix w/ can of pumpkin, they are really good & a lot more healthy than cake! Hope your day got better for you.

Mariah- So, are you back to the real estate business again? I work with mortgage brokers daily and mortgages is what I "sell" - it is a stressful business with ups & downs that is for sure! I know you will do great though!

Dana- You'll have to keep me posted on your thighs with the step you'll be doing. Hopefully you won't have the same problems I do with it but if you start noticing you think your thighs are getting bigger that could be why- lots of people have no problems then there are people like me who just can't handle it. I love HSTA but rarely do it b/c of how much high step is in it.

Diane- Hello there, good to see you pop in. Happy to hear you & the baby are doing good. Work any less stressful for you yet?

Michele- I will be saying a prayer for your friend & you now & daily. I am so sorry for you & your friend, I know prayers help though & you have lots of people here saying them for your friend. {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}

Tammy- Hello!!! How are them boys doing?!? :p

Becky- Hi, hope your Monday was a good one.

Hello to all you other MIA haters! I am off to fix me a BBQ chicken brick oven lean cuisine pizza. Will probably BBL but if not talk to you all tomorrow evening.

August: I tried hard to remember my dreams last night, all I remember is numbers....so I went out and played the lottery....I lost.

Jen: The boys are doing fine, thank you very much. DS#2 went back to school last night. I really wish I liked kickboxing more, because I know the step and weighted LB workouts are wreaking havoc on my thighs. :( I'm adding the iSculpt ballets to my rotation. I'll let you know how it works out.

Dana: If you live with the three little piggies, who am I living with:eek::eek:

Diane: How exciting to feel the baby move.

>>>hell the older we get the more we have to worry about looking good which came more naturally when we were younger

Mariah: Ain't that the truth....OY VAY!!!

Robin: (((HUGS)))

Shelley: I hope things wind down for you soon.
