Hello, all!

I hope that everyone is finding a way to have a wonderful, cheerful weekend - may it be one of restfulness, excitement, peacefulness, warmth, or whatever best fits the mood and situation.

I'm going to get friendly with my vacuum now. And we're going to have a ball sucking up all the crap that has accumulated during my busy week.

Hugs to everyone!

DANA - I was LOL at your co-worker who cuts and serves up cake by pushing it off the server onto the plate and then licking her thumbs. I can totally see it LMAO!

I have a problem with that sort of thing, too, so I'm always aware of it. For example, I have a problem with sharing small foods that come in bags, like where you have to dig your hand in the bag to take some out. If I'm going to be sharing that sort of thing, I always pour the stuff from the bag into my hand.

I once had a bag of Sour Patch Kids and was in a meeting with a few people. I offered everyone some Sour Kids, and I'd hold the bag out so that they would cup their hands out and I'd pour some in. But there was one girl sitting on the far side from me, so I ended up just having the bag passed around to her.

Then she sat there eating a couple at a time, and while chewing, she'd be dusting the extra sugar left on her fingers BACK INTO THE BAG! http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/aak.gif

>So my question is - how do I decline the salad?

I believe the appropriate response would be, "I'm sorry, I don't eat second-hand salad." http://bestsmileys.com/lol/11.gif

ROBIN -

>Good evening haters. I love the cookies they have at church meetings.

That short and to the point post totally cracked me up.

DIANE - Hi again!

MICHELE - My heart sank to read that Nancy's cancer is the most aggressive of breast cancers. I imagine she and her family would want to have the surgery as soon as possible, so it's good to hear that the surgery is scheduled for next week. Is your project for her going smoothly? If there is anything that I can do for her or for you, don't you hesitate to say. I will be continuing to send warm wishes.

BECKY -

>A fun workout that was 70 minutes long but seemed like 30 !

Wow, now wouldn't it be great to be able to say that about any workout! You must have had a nice sweaty one and trickled off a bunch of calories! Woo hoo!

MARIAH - Hey there, were you able to figure out the premixes?

JEN - That's so nice that your sister's school has a "Mom Weekend." I hope you guys all have a great time together!.....You'd mentioned that you might be coming down with something last week, but it seemed that you'd successfully escaped a full-blown cold - maybe the evils are trying to win again? Maybe some garlic would kick those suckers to the curb? Thanks to everyone's well-wishes, Vitamin C and my gauze mask, I was able to escape the sickness. I'll wish the same for you! (Minus the gauze mask, since I guess you can't really wear one while working....and those things just aren't popular in the States LOL.)

TAMMY - Here I am! Here I am! Heheh, no, no lucid dreaming these days (or at least none that I'm remembering at the moment - but I'm inspired to reread my book and start up it again!). I just had a couple of busy days that had me out in the weee morning and home in the wuuu night.

>The highlight of the day is now...DS#3 went out and DS#1 is on his way to see his girlfriend in NYC. I've got the house to myself

LMAO! Little do the boys know their mom is doing a happy dance once they go out the door! I never thought about that when I was a kid still living at home.

I do remember one time when I was still in middle school that the school bus was late and I was still waiting quietly by the front door. My dad must have thought I'd already gone because he suddenly asked my mom if she wanted to, you know, http://www.smileyhut.com/signs/curtianpeek.gif http://bestsmileys.com/music1/16.gif .....do it. It was like a chain reaction of http://www.smileyhut.com/surprised/shock.gif from mom to me to dad. LMAO. Come to think of it, that's kind of a nice memory for me. http://www.smileyhut.com/non_antialiased/smile.gif

Okay. I'm off to vacuum and do my little workout and then....well, whatever, I'm in my pajamas!

WELCOME BACK TO HATERTOWN AUGUST!

My oh my, but you have been missed.

Awww..how sweet!!! It's kind of eerie 'cause my husband uttered those exact same words;)!!!! I'm guessing this is TMI....but hey, you started it!

Hey haters!

August - welcome back! How brave of you to put (cue echo effect) THE WARM OUTFIT away! I don't plan on changing my closets around until the temperature hits double digits and stays that way for more than 3 minutes.

Tammy - I hope you slept well last night and enjoyed your childless moments;)

Sorry I haven't been around much. I'm cranky and tired and don't feel like I have much to contribute except crankiness and pessimism.

Let's see:

Michele - I'm so terribly sorry about your friend's aggressive cancer. Hopefully the aggressive treatment will do the trick. It worked for my sister.

Jen - sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. Maybe you need to back off on the killer workouts? Yeah, I know, what a silly suggestion;-) I hope that whatever it is goes away and doesn't morph into anything majorly sucky.

Mariah - I like the idea of your song for your website, but like August said, I think you'd need to buy the rights to use it and also have someone rerecord it to say "my home". Maybe you can just find some music with subliminal messages that say "buy real estate from me, buy real estate from me...".:)

Robin - TWO WEEKS!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Thanks for the review of the new Tracy workout. I've been considering it but I think I'll hold off for a while.

Dana - you walk 2 miles in 25 minutes? That's faster than lots of people RUN! Wow! How tall are you? Do you have long legs?

Becky - what is Amazing Step Styles? And I love the step from BM2!!

Diane - QUIT WORKING SO HARD! ;-)

Okay, I suppose I should go get started on my list. So much to do, so little motivation.

Good morning everybody!!

Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. I really feel it and it's such a big help. I know it will mean the world to my friend, too. DH is home this weekend so I won't be around much until Monday morning. We have some things we need to do, and I hope we can have a little fun and relaxation, too. We're planning to call Nancy and her DH later today, too.

August, your post made me smile. I love all your little smilie people!! *GASP* Someone you know had a box of Krispy Kreme's and ate all of them...and didn't save one for you!? That PIG!!! LMAO!

Tammy, I could not do CC PP yesterday. I have a terrible cold and it's all I can do to breathe right now, but I managed to do a 35 minute steady state w/o on the elliptical. I might try a shorter CC later today or tomorrow if I'm feeling better;)

Shelley, could you tell me more about your sister's cancer? I've been trying to read everything I can get my hands on, but you do have to be careful with that. There's so much info on the internet and some of it is crap. I feel sorry for people with cancer trying to navigate through cyberspace for accurate information.

Thanks again everybody. Knowing that Nancy is in your prayers helps me to sleep better at night. I'll see y'all on Monday:* :* :*

I...I love you girls!:* :+

Well, Aunt Flo ended up having a little hissy fit that ended with me on the sofa napping until she was finished with her thang. So there went the afternoon...then I felt up to start my cleaning, but then it was time for dinner with Mom, so then I went for dinner and hang out time........and now it's 11:30pm.

But thankfully, I'm wide awake and full of energy NOW!

I'm in total clean mode. And after all is clean and sparkly, by golly, I'm getting out my spring clothing in hopes that will inspire the sky to keep up the good work.

>Maybe you can just find some music with subliminal messages that say "buy real estate from me, buy real estate from me"

LOL. I like this idea, Shelley!

Hi, Michele, yeah, that pig, eating 5 donuts and not saving any for me. Course, at that point I didn't know him, but he could have been prepared nevertheless. I mean, really. The nerve. :D

Urgh, you got sick? Get a gauze mask!

Okay, I'd better get back to my cleaning before the gusto goes bye-bye. Have fun with your DH, Michele.

And I hope the blechs will leave you soon, Shelley.

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you know that I am still lurking around. I know everyone was very worried, so you can all relax now. http://www.smileyhut.com/tongues/sticktongue.gif

I have been sending lots of positive energy to Michele's friend every time I stop by. Michele, I am so glad that you are finding support here. I remember how important friends were when I found out my Mom had cancer. Just knowing that there are folks that care can be incredibly comforting.

Well, I've got SJP step premix and PLB lined up for today. Then dance class and then family birthday part for Rachel (who is 2 today!!!) so I better get going! Have a great weekend everyone.

Corrie

Hello haters...I think my body is trying to tell me something, like take a break, but I refuse to listen!! I am so freaking exhausted, I know the 3 hours on the road later on today is going to kill me but I really want to go.

I did KPC and B&G floor glute work this morning. It took me a lot longer than normal to do KPC, typically I don't take any breaks & today I had to stop between the high intensity drills & the combos. I hate it when my head tells me to work out but my body doesn't listen.

August- Your cheerleader smiles are so cute, glad you are having a good weekend! What workout did you end up doing today?

Shelley- Good to "see" you again, sorry you are cranky & tired but if it makes you feel any better, I'm right there with you. So at least we have each other to keep company in the cranky corner!

Michele- Your friend is still in my prayers, I hope you can try to have a good weekend with your DH.

CORRIE- HELLO!!!! Where have you been? I was wondering if we ran you off or if you didn't love us anymore! I am so happy you are back, you need to come around more often. The big 2 huh, I hope Rachel has a wonderful b-day! What type of dance class it is that you are going to? Is it for the girls or you? Your workout sounds awesome today.

Tammy- Hey, what are your big plans for the weekend? Did you do cardio coach today?

Okay, well I am going to find some food, haven't eaten yet & my tummy isn't happy about that.

Heya, Jen,

Not listening to your body again, I see. http://www.smileyhut.com/angry/annoyed.gif

But I certainly hope you'll be all right to go and hang with your mom and sister. That really sounds cool.

>What workout did you end up doing today?

Today I did the premix to Major Cramps Lower Body, and then for cardio, I did Taking Out My Spring Clothing And Being Reminded How All My Clothing Is Still The Same From Years And Years Ago And I'm So Sick Of These Clothing That I Just Want To Throw Them All Away But Then I'd Have Nothing To Wear So I'm Stuck Wearing The Same Dang Clothing Again, Jump & Pump.

Hope you have a nice food hunt and have a fun Sunday! Er, Saturday!

Hello haters, well my plans got changed. I had just got ready & was in the process of getting dressed to head out the door & my sister called. She is really tired and cranky & not really in the mood to do much-she is like me when it comes to crowds & tons of people being around, makes me cranky!! With mom's weekend going on the campus over there is completly nuts and packed with people. So, she asked if I would care if we held off & got together to shop at Von Mauer & eat out in Decatur (town halfway between her & I) the weekend after next-she works next weekend.

So, I said no problem. She also I think was a little concerned about me driving over there- it is really crappy out today. It hasn't stopped raining since 8 AM this morning & it is so cold, like 35. They are also calling for possible snow & freezing drizzle this evening so she mentioned not wanting me to drive in that.

So, now my evening is completly void of plans-which is fine by me b/c with the lack of energy I've had lately I think another to bed early night is just what I need to fight off whatever is trying to bring me down! I WILL WIN! :)

Okay, well since I the whole evening to do nothing I am going to head downstairs & do one of my new workouts- I have Karen Voight's pilates, Jari Love Slim & Lean, and Tracey's new sweatfest kickboxing. I can't decide between S&L and pilates, don't want to do kickboxing again since i did KPC earlier today, decisions, decisions!

Okay, well if anyone is around I'll probably BBL!

Jen, you are crazy! I'd take the whole evening with nothing to do and GO TO BED. I'm glad your sister called and rescheduled though.

August, I'm so glad you and your little cheerleaders had a good time. Smack your Aunt Flo upside the head with a pad and get on with life.

Michele, prayers and hugs.

Shelley, I know! I know! I spent the morning cleaning windows in anticipation of your arrival, so be sure to notice how clean they are. Of course, it will only take one storm to spot them up again. And what's the forecast for tomarrow? If I had August's smilie talent, there would be one here smacking his forhead.

I just heard a timer announce dinner is done. I'll be back later.

Corrie!!!I've wondered about you!

Michele - to reply to your question about my sister.... she discovered a lump in her breast (I think the right one) during her monthly BSE. So she immediately went to the doctor and after much testing, they found that she actually had lumps in BOTH breasts. That was January 2003. She went in on March 25, 2003 for a radical double mastectomy, and during the operation, the surgeon found cancer in her lymph nodes on the left side. He removed what he could, and after her recovery from the surgery, she started an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy (six months' worth), followed by about five weeks of radiation. About a year and half ago, the doctor was thrilled to inform her that she could now say that she HAD breast cancer, instead of HAS breast cancer. She's doing wonderfully well (as you know, she walked the 60 km Weekend to End Breast Cancer last September) and is happy and energetic and loving life. I hope that helps you feel more optimistic about Nancy's situation.:)
