Has anyone tried Core Synergy w/the bosu?

If you haven't I highly recommend it. So far that's the one bosu workout I have that really kicks my a$$. It is so hard! I've done it 3 times so far & the first time I could barely make it through. By the 3rd time I was more used to the moves & am getting better at it, but man was I sore the next day!

If you want to feel/understand your transverse abs, try this workout. It's awesome.

Lauramax,
I heard besides the ab work the back work Core Synergy was incredible and humbling. I do like to add variety to my workouts so please keep me updated on your favorite Bosu DVDs (and anyone else who has a Bosu who is will to share!)...I may be picking one up after I complete my TLT/Cathe/Pilate rotation:) I would also like to know which DVDs you don't recommend so I don't pick them up.

Are there any thoughts on Gay Gaspers "Reactive Strength" DVD or Rob Glick's "Bosu Cardio Fusion?"

I was also wondering if any of you who own any of the Bosu DVDs think that the new smaller sport size model would be appropriate to use with the workouts. I'm considering the smaller model to save a little workout room space, but I won't if anyone who has used these DVDs things some of the moves just wouldn't work as well on a smaller sport model. It's really a visual thing in my workout room...I'm sure I have plenty of room for a big half moon dome, but if the smaller model will work as well I would rather buy that one (it really would look and fit better).

I would really appreciate anyones thoughts.

Robin:)

ETA: If you honestly think the smaller model in any way would compromise some of the moves on the Bosu please let me know.

Is that the one with Candace Copeland-Brooks?
I used it looooong ago when my Bosu was inflated. I thought it was the best of the Bosu workout, and a great core workout.

Yes, it's Candace Copeland. I think I now have all the official bosu workouts & hers is the best so far--I'm getting the impression she's like THE bosu expert & if she didn't created the other workouts than at least played a large part in them. She also has a very nice way about her--she's a good instructor & easy to follow.

I tried Glick's Cardio Fusion & sorry to be blunt but, it sucked. I barely even broke a sweat--& I'm pretty sure the only reason I did was b/c I had the heat turned high in my house. ;) If you're used to Cathe's intensity level you won't get much from this one. I also did the Bosu for Abs & it has basically the same exact ab workout as Core Synergy only less intense.

I did get Stott's two pilates/bosu DVDs but haven't tried them yet. Will let you know what I think.......

ETA: Robin, I think having the sport bosu as opposed to the original would make a difference. I think having a smaller space/area for the balance work would make it less difficult (I'm no expert so I could be wrong, it's just my impression). Also, it would reduce the range of motion for some moves, again reducing the difficulty level.

Thanks for your gut feeling Lauramax. I just had a sneaking suspicion that the smaller size might change the difficulty level in some moves. I will get the big one.

Robin:)

I re-visited my BOSU DVD's recently and did like Core Synergy a lot. Gay Gasper's Reactive STrength and Power is really more of a cardio than a strength DVD, becuase she does a lot of dynamic squats and lunges off the BOSU and some power plyo moves that really get your heart rate up. There is some upper body done balancing but not much. I would classify it as a cardio/lower body interval blast type workout. It was kind of hard on my knees too, becuase stepping and lunging off the 8 inch BOSU was tough on me (I can ony do step on a 4 inch platform becuase of my knees.) If you like Power Circuit and Body Max segment 2 you would like that one.
Rob Glick's was just an ordinary step routine and boring IMHO.
