Has anyone filed a dispute on eBay?

I ordered a product a week ago and haven't heard from the seller about when it will ship, etc. Although the seller had a 97% positive rating, there were a few blips where people didn't get their stuff. That's what I get for trying to get P90X the cheap way. I'm just anticipating here what might happen. eBay says that you can file a dispute after 10 days. I paid via PayPal with a credit card, so it seems like I could file with PayPal as well as notify my credit card I won't pay. I don't know if I'm supposed to do all three or what. Just curious if anyone else out there has had to deal with this.

The same thing happened to DH a few months ago -- the stuff just didn't show up. I also filed a dispute when I got a burned Cathe DVD. In both cases, we filed complaints with E-Bay, PayPal, and our credit card company. It didn't take very long, and in both cases, everything was resolved in our favor. I definitely recommended disputing with all 3. Good luck!

Have you emailed the seller? I've had product take longer than a week to arrive. Sometimes it's coming UPS or Fed Ex ground from the opposite coast, and other times the seller just takes a bit of time to get it on it's way. I'd email the seller first. If you do not get a response with 48 hours, then I would start the process.

I filed a complaint against a seller that I suspected was fraudulent. My older DS (20) was enticed into bidding for a TV that was being listed at a ridiculously lower price that retail. When he one the auction, the seller wanted him to wire the money immediately and he would ship the TV.

There are more details but the whole deal stunk to high heaven and I advised DS not to pay the invoice. We logged a suspicious seller notification to ebay. The next day the seller was no longer registered on the site. However, the seller continued to email my DS demanding payment. DS replied that he would not and it finally stopped.

It has taught me to carefully research sellers and all their listings and feedback before bidding. Ebay can be a nasty place too for the trusting soul.

I think step#1 is to get your money back. I recommend disputing the charge.

I have as well. As long as you file with PayPal, you will get your money back.
In my situation, the seller had fallen sick and a lot of people had not gotten their product. Unfortunately for me, I waited too long, and only got about 1/2 my money back, as that was all that was left in the seller's account to refund to me.

But, they did respond in a timely manner and take care of things.

I have e-mailed the seller twice asking when it will ship (it's been a week since I won the bid and paid) and have not received a reply. They state they will e-mail when it ships. Is it too soon to start the dispute process at 7 days?

No, I think 1 week is enough to start disputing. And we never did receive the product -- we just got the charge taken off our account.

I don't know how long you have to wait to file a dispute?
I think it is 2 weeks.
Some things if media mail take more than 10 days.
Paypal does take like 3 weeks to settle it.
I just had one with someone that said they didn't receive a dvd and it was delivery confirmed. I did win.
I sold my P90X about a month ago.
Wish i could help.

Who was the seller. You can email me that info as I think he sounds like the person that I bought mine from. Mine Took forever to get and so far 2 skip. When I e-mail him he doesn't reply.

Horror Story with Ebay...I won a Peg Perego stroller for $215, I paid, I never got the stroller, sent the seller message after message, and filed a dispute. After 30 days I did get some of my money back, but not all of the money and when I contact Pay Pal and Ebay they said I was out of luck because they could not find the seller. NIGHTMARE. I was out about $75. Watch out with ebay.
