Harder Oblique exercises

Cathe I'm wanting to know how to make the oblique exercises harder.
When doing the side raises on the ball,(BB series) I'm not feeling anything. I have tried positioning myself all over the ball to no avail. I see that the side muscles are moving but....

When doing the move on the floor as in the Slow Heavy series, and Intensity, the legs are off the floor. It seems to be a little more challenging when I put the elbow on the floor and I make a fist as opposed to the letting the hand stay open. In this way, the arm is putting more power in my move and the obliques feel it much much more. Does this make any sense? :) Is there another variation of this exercise that is harder than these two?
Ready for the next step....}(
TIA I love love those pre-mixes in the BB. I practiced awhile with the videos and was ready for the pre-mixes on the DVD's. What a talent you have to put all these workouts together. You are amazing!:) Another great Series you have made.

Are you referring to the ones in Supersets? I was so interested to see if anyone else has noticed this, I was assuming I was just doing it wrong, but I wasn't feeling anything during these side crunches.

Yep...SuperSets are the ones I'm referring to.;-)
Kathryn suggessted using a weighted ball on the upper arm. I tried it on the floor exercise on Triceps Biceps (Slow and Heavy) That made a difference. I will try it on the Super Sets to see if it makes it more challenging.}(

Whew, Wanda, you NEVER stop at making all these tapes harder! What is wrong with you girl? Tee-Hee!!!
