Hardcore Rotation Checkin Tuesday May 31

Hi everyone,
This morning was Slow & Heavy Chest and 35 minutes on my stationery bike. I hurt my foot somehow and it hurts on the top of the arch and won't bend very well, that's one reason I did the bike for aerobics today.

I just saw the June Rotation. I've got to figure out times and make sure there are enough aerobics and I'll probably start it next week (or sooner if I can).

After DH, DD & my "furry kids", you're the first person I "check-in" with in the AM. I'm glad I do 'cuz now I know the June rotation's been posted! (Heading over there next!)

Okay, I brought the rotation to work with me and have been reviewing it in my spare time. I'm going to finish off this week doing a few various workouts to throw a curve at my metabolism and then I'll start the June Rotation on Monday. I'll still check in here and label it Hardcore Checkin.

I have a couple of questions. What is the best alternative for MIC, as my DVD is on backorder....especially the Hi/Lo portions and Step portions separately as listed in the rotation. Also, I don't have Step Heat, but I have Step Fit....would this be a good substitution?

ETA: Also, since I don't run, do you think I should do the eliptical, bike, urban rebounder DVD or Blast segments of Imax's for my running days?? Which of these would be best? thanks much
 
Hi Lora,

I use to have Step Heat but traded it on VF(regretting that now). Ithink I will substitute Rhythmic Step or Step Jam for it. I dislike Hi/Lo haven't decided what to do for that.

Hello Everyone,
Today I am going to TRY to do PS chest/shoulder/arms... My parents are coming and I have been getting plenty of exercise cleaning :7 I probably will do it to destress, but the boys have games tonight so I will be pushing it.


Lora where did you order your Urban rebounder? I have been looking into getting a rebounder and have narrowed it down to UR, or a Needak. Having a hard time deciding. I kinda like the idea of a softer bounce by Needak, but I like the price of ur better:D HELP!!!

I got mine from Megafitness (I believe that's the name) online.

I wouldn't say their customer service is great, as I ordered at Christmas and they were on backorder and did not receive my rebounder until February. However, they may have been backed up due to Christmas.
 
Hi Ladies!

I am doing the June rotation. I didn't get the rotation until late last night so I am a day behind. Today I did Gym Style Chest only and Gym Style Back only and the 30 minute run (on my treadmill). I have to admit though that not all 30 minutes were running. Maybe 25 of them were. I need to work on the running and the push ups! Ugh!:) I was about done after all those push ups.

Hi Everyone ~

Today was an unplanned rest day. I worked OT (drawback of a three day weekend) and came home with a raging headache. I'm going to bed early, losing this headache and getting up early to start the June rotation. Many of my obstacles to early AM workouts will be gone at the end of this week so I figure I can deal with them for three days to start June off on the right foot.

It was a busy weekend for me.

Monday I did I Max 3, stopping at the stretch, May rotation Back followed by Core Max Complete Core and resistance core ab work with the Bowflex, finishing with I Max3 stretch
Today, I did Step Blast w/up and cardio followed by C&W cardio only and May rotation chest, back to SB stretch.

I have actually made these hard enough that I have had some muscle soreness. This does not happen to me often. I think I feel like I am doing something here. I may stick with this rotation for awhile. I am on my third week. I am not sure how I feel about the June rotation. I think maybe the first half looks like something I would like to do for 4 weeks and do one of the other endurance type weeks in between the heavier workouts. I will see. I have done a variation of one of Cathe's rotations and just used one week that I liked 4 times.

Lora an alternitive to MIC. You might sub in SJP Hi Lo for the MIC Hi Lo. Not as intense though. The hi lo portion of CTX 10, 10,10 is up there in intensity but short. Look for around 24 minutes of intense HI LO for this. Maybe Bootcamp cardio and the floor cardios from 10,10,10 or BCcardio & SJP cardio. For the step you would want around 32 minutes of higher intensity step. Maybe SB challenge and final segment of Step works, or CTX Step & Intervals and SB
challenge.
