Morning Everyone,

This morning I only had time to do an Imax 3 premix. I have a 2 hour dental appt after work and so I have to be at work extremely early to make up the time.

Nicole - When you said maybe I should do a SS rotation. Did you mean Slim Series? Also, why would lower my intensity help me lose weight?

Hello Everyone!

Well...this morning I didn't do anything. My SIL got married yesterday and I got home pretty late so I didn't do anything. I will probably do something at lunch, but I don't know what just yet. My plan was to start the Aug 04 rotation, but since I didn't wake up early enough this morning to do anything, I'll need to figure something out.

Looks like the Roadtrip was great!! I saw some great pictures...

Hi Lora,

I read your Sunday post just this morning. You know when I first started working out to Cathe in Jan. I noticed my jeans fitting tighter, but after another month or so my jeans were fine. I don't think my legs were used to all those lunges, squats, etc. Have you changed your work outs drastically? Also, in the beginning I just wanted to do Cathe cardio and not run. So, I started adding running back in along with my weight work outs. Probably 2-3 treadmill work outs. I still did Imax 2 and a kick boxing work out once a week. Just some ideas. SInce I'm new to this check in, I don't know what your work outs consisted of in the past.

Nicole, I'm thinking about the next rotation, too. I'm still leaning toward a S&H rotation. I was thinking of doing each body part with cardio everyday. Not sure though. I don't know if that will be too much cardio.

Yesterday, I did KM and grocery max. My DH took the kids to the pool while I did that. What a guy! We went to his brothers for dinner.

Today, I did GS-BSB and a 30 minute run on the treadmill.

I'm off for the last swim lesson and then karate starts up this afternoon. I'm debating on signing up for a cardio bag class. It's different than a cardio kickboxing class, I guess. Anyone, do this?

Dallas - I discovered Cathe in January and started doing her rotations in February. The only rotation I haven't done is this month's, as the workouts didn't seem long enough. I opted to do a FatLoss Rotation instead. Prior to finding Cathe, I worked out about 45-60 minutes per day. I gradually increased my workout time to what I currently do.....which is anywhere from 25 minutes (usually on my off day as extra cardio) to 90 minutes. I try to average 70-90 minutes per day. I never worked my legs with as heavy of weights as I've been doing lately. I've worked my way up to doing my squats and lunges with 30-35 pounds right now. I usually use a weight that's slightly less than what Cathe uses. The only thing I've been doing lately is working out longer cuz I'm trying to lose weight and becoming acclimated to Cathe's workout lengths now. I've been doing very well on my diet and have only been eating salads with lowfat dressing for lunch, limiting my sugar and carbs and trying to get enough protein. I even met with the dietician here at work and she said I'm doing fine in that department (I'm a vegetarian). I'm so frustrated. I'm going away (Vegas) at the end of August and I'm really trying to lose these few pounds, as I always gain a few on vacation! Also, I usually add extra cardio to the rotations Cathe posts, as I feel I need it. I've been doing all Cathe cardio, but occasionally, I use my stationery bike in the basement (usually on the day Cathe has rest scheduled - I do 25-35 minutes on my bike in an effort to lose weight).

Today I am not sure what I want to do?

Lora I know that ALOT of people have gotten GREAT results from SS on ya ya's and on VF. I just think if you make a change it will SHAKE things up for you. I mean I have read where people go from Cathe to Firm and they are surpised that they lose wt. Just a thought.... Good Luck!


Dallas I LOVE doing one body part per day, and then adding on cardio. It is very doable esp. when you have kids:) I am thinking of maybe doing PS each body part twice weekly or maybe doing PS 1time and then pyramids and or S&H one time and then short cardios 30-45 min?? Btw I am happy to see I am not the only one who looks at going to the grocery store a workout ha ha.;-)

Yes I have read about people having such good results with these. Matter a fact I lent mine to a friend who ordered them right away. She swears by these and has been doing them for the last 2 years weekly with running imbetween. I do these or the firm to shake things up in my routine for 1-2 weeks and then go back to Cathe. I have not done these for awhile, but tonight I am going to do Tear it up ( I like to put my own music on and go to town!!)

Thanks Dallas & Nicole - I'm going to look at my Slim Series book later. I don't know if I should finish off the month with my Cathe Fatloss first though. I have tons of videos/DVDs that I had before Cathe and I haven't touched them since February. I haven't been taking rest days either. Do you ladies think my body might not be losing weight cuz I haven't done an non-Cathe week lately? I don't really think I overtrain. Like I said above, I gradually worked up to the 1.5 hour a day point that I'm at and I slowly increased my weights until I was lifting my maximum weight. However, I have been doing ALL Cathe for 5 months. Do you think doing the non-Cathe would really help me lose weight? If so, should I finish my month of Fatloss with Cathe? and then do a 2 week rotation of something else and then go back to Cathe? I'm welcome to suggestions. Sorry, I don't mean to dominate this thread today, but I need advice. I have all of the Beachbody series and all but the latest Firm, Fitprime, Core Secrets (not the new one), David Kirsch, Karen Voight. Should I start insterting 2 weeks of various ones and if so, how often? Also, how many weeks of Cathe versus 2 weeks of others? Sorry for all of the questions, but I tend to be very analytical.
 
Hi ladies!!

I made it back from the road trip. I am exhausted but full of excitement at the same time. The trip was WONDERFUL!! The flight was ok. Had some problems on the way back though. My flight was an hour late getting in and by the time we landed my connection was already boarding and I had to run to get to the flight. I was even paged over the intercalm instructing me to go to gate G11 and to make sure I went downstairs. It was kind of funny. I just made it and I was the last one to board. Even worse news is that my luggage is lost!!! My first flight and I lose my luggage. What a trip!

Cathe was sooooo GREAT and such a doll!! I was privilaged to eat breakfast with her on Sunday morning. I don't think I stopped smiling the whole time we were there. ;-) It was a trip that I will never forget. Laura(Maximus) was such a wonderful person and a great fried through the trip too.

No workout for me today, I am too tired.

Hi everyone,
Today I was undecided what I wanted to do and had stayed up late with family as it was my daughters's birthday. So I started with Hardcore Extreme Interval Circuits, followed this with cardio coach volume 3 rowing on the Bowflex and the first challenge doing jump roping for the two minute intervals. Then I went and tried the Abs diet workout adv. total body segment. I gave it to my daughter in law this afternoon. I was really disappointed in this. Very basic moves. Even the abs on it were nothing compared to what they had for advanced exercisers in the book.

Lora, sometimes it just takes looking at what you have been doing and find the workouts that are totally different and do those for awhile. You may be getting used to the same types of moves and workouts. The body really adapts pretty well.

Hi Lora,
Try doing a SS dvd and then some kind of cardio imbetween. I think doing SS everyday would be hard on the joints and overtraining a bit.
Start your NEW ROTATION tomorrow:7 I could be wrong but I think you will start seeing changes by week 2?? Measure yourself. Tear it up is my favorite of them all. I know they are not Cathe, but I really do believe your body will respond to these. Look up on VF and Ya ya's about these, and get music that motivates you and you GO GIRL!! Good Luck!!
