Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Sunday Dec 11

Morning Everyone -

I did Firm 4 Transfirmer Cardio Sculpt today. The aerobic segments were a little low impact so I added my own high impact to most of the aerobics. It was a pretty decent workout.

I think I like these Firm DVDs and I'm ordering the 2 add on's Jiggle Free Arms and Buns today. I have a Collage gift cert and I think I'll complete my set. I also think I'm going to do these for another week or 2, as I was really feeling it in my legs in different places yesterday. My inner thighs and parts of my hamstrings and glutes. This DVD today had some different ab moves and leg moves, but the upper body stuff was pretty basic. I really don't feel like I'm working my legs that much when I'm doing the DVDs but I think I get DOMS. I always thought the Firm had good leg work though.

We went to see the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe yesterday. It was pretty good for that kind of movie. Today ...we are going to the 10:00 am show again. This time, Syriana with George Clooney. Yes....we see everything!

How is everyone today?

Lora-I will know who to ask about a movie the next time I am debating on going to see one. ;-) I would love to take my middle son to see Harry Potter.

I never made it back to check in last night. I had a family Christmas party to go to. There were too many goodies! LOL! Today I have some studying to do and then I MUST watch Survivor tonight!! :D Is anyone else watching? I imagine I will study after the show is over too. Tomorrow morning I get to go to the car lot and have the tire on my truck looked and to see if it can be fixed. I ran over a large screw yesterday and my tire went half flat in no time. Luckily I was almost home. The screw is pretty big and it went through the tread and into the tire. There is a possibility that I might just have to get a new tire. UGH!! Why now?? I have class tomorrow night and Tuesday night. My class test is Thursday morning at 10:00. We get a scheduled time of 3 1/2 hours. Now tell me that is not a long test. I guess it is 150 questions.

Sorry for the rant, it just makes me mad.

Good Morning.

Today I need to workout before my son and his gf get here and wego to get my dad. I feel like doing lowmax today and SS Tone it up. Later I will do a upperbody work out. I am thinking of adding slow and heavy into my rotation for upperbody but may wait until after the holidays. Can you believe two weeks from today is Christmas?!!

Lora-I see a lot of movies to and I am looking forward to the Lion Withch and The Wardrobe. I never have read any of the books have you? Thanks for the review on the firm Workout. I would have a hard time thinking they are hard as I didn't think the old ones were. But if you think they are good I will give them some thought.

Today I did Burn it up again, and I MADE myself get through that floor work even *IF* I had to pause it:p I tell ya that is killing my butt so I KNOW it is doing good things RIGHT?? LOL

Lora I am happy to hear you are enjoying your new firms:D Do you think the transfirmer is worth it?? I am glad to hear you enjoyed the movie!! I think it looks really good.

Terri NO I CAN'T believe it!! With my kids pretty much being sick the last month, and my dh out of town. I have got........ not to much Xmas shopping in. I am really going to have to go to town this week:D

Sabrina that sounds just like me except I had no idea I had a flat tire I just could smell rubber burning:+ Good thing I was close to home. I did not bend my rim thank goodness :7 Good luck with your test tommorrow. I will be thinking about you!!

Nicole - All I can say about the Transfirmer is that I'm really feeling it in my legs and butt in places I normally don't feel DOMS. I have been stepping pretty high up on it (they say that's advanced) and doing the leg work with heavier weights than they do. I'm really feeling it. I never did my old incline Firms long enough to see results in the legs, but I think this definitely works them differently than traditional moves.

Terri - Please remember.....these aren't Cathe. They are advanced, but like I mentioned above, I need to put that little extra oomph in all of my non Cathe workouts to get the desired intensity. I don't mind doing that though, as I love variety and as you ladies all know...I tend to be pretty open minded when it comes to instructors. I don't think these Firm's compare to Cathe workouts in a lot of ways, but I like them because I feel my body needs the change. Again..of note...I always have to put a lot more effort into all of the workouts I do that are non-Cathe to get a decent workout.

If my legs are too terribly sore in the morning, I'll just use lighter weights tomorrow.
