Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Saturdy Sept 17

Morning Ladies - (I know Terri will check in today...but I'm not sure if anyone else will)

This morning was my rest day, but I opted for a recovery workout. I did TLP Core Cardio. I used a 4# ball to keep it easier and modified some of the jumping on my rebounder. My rebounder got a big rip in it from the cover getting caught over a spring! I'm bummed.

Susan - I liked this better this time! I think these TLP's take a bit of adjusting to (at least for me they do). What do you use for the band she uses around your ankles? I was curious.

Terri - I wish Marietta would have checked in yesterday to answer your question about overtraining. I want to hear what she has to say. I posted a question in ask Cathe asking if it's necessary to take 1 day a week as a rest day. It should still be on the first page if you want to check the answer out.

I have to go to a Kitchen Shower today! I DON'T want to go at all. I don't have a domestic bone in my body and I don't want to be tempted by cake, cuz I can't resist it!

Lora ~ I saw the reply from Cathe. Good luck resisting that cake! I have two b-days today. I usually do pretty good when I'm out. It's when the stuff is here in my face 24/7 that I break down. LOL!

I'm doing BMax and adding on KM blasts and leg drills (if time permits). I posted a thread about a good cardio work out with leg work. There were a lot of votes for BMax. I've only done BMax one time, so I hope it will be a good work out.

Well, better get moving. There's not a minutes to spare today!

Lora-I am sorry about your rebounder! Can it be fixed? Good luck resisting that cake. I am taking my kids to the parade this morning so I will be having candy thrown at me. LOL! Temptation!!

Dallas-Good luck at the soccer games!! Hope you win! Have fun at your parties too.

I have a parade to take my kids to this morning and then I have to go get my hair cut. I think then we might be heading to my SIL's. Need to find time to get my oldest son something to wear for his school picture on Tuesday too. Shopping with the boys, UGH!!

I will try and check in later, hopefully with a workout in.

Just to clarify I did Bmax and then stopped after the step portion and then did KM blasts, then BMax Power circuits and then warm down. I didn't have time for the leg drills. That was good enough, however! I can't wait for Bmax 2!!!

Lora-Thanks for telling me about the thread on ask Cathe. I am still confused as to whether I should take a rest day. Are you? I feel bad that your rebounder ripped. I hope you can fix it but my guess is it is safer to replace?

Dallas-I worry about overtraing as I work out everyday and I work 2 + hours some days even though it's not back to back. I see from Diane Sue's posts she does this as well. Difference is she takes rest days. I think I need to start taking them and I bet Marietta would agree. I too love bodymax and I am excited for bodymax2:)

Hello to all that follow. Today is rythmic step and gymstyle legs. Gymstyle legs should give me some great doms. :) I will also do some ab work.

Hi everyone,


Today I did HSTA with additional lunges with a 5 lb. db. I was scheduled to do HC HSC, but grabbed the wrong one.

Yesterday was a loooooong day. It started out by having a veneer fall off! Ughh! So with a broken tooth I go to my first apt. It was awful! It was worse than expected. My second apt. (another hour drive away) went VERY well. They measured everything on the baby. Each bone, organs, brain etc. There is absolutely no sign of downs syndrome. Then my third apt. (another hour and half away) to get my tooth fixed. I was constantly on the go, so I had nothing to eat all day!

As soon as I signed on today, I saw the presale. Even though the workout details are kind of vague, I ordered all four.

Lora, I found a website for xrings very cheap, so I ordered all the resistance bands (w/ SH) they came to about $18. The time I tried the TLP w/o I didn’t have them. I think the Green one is best.

Dallas, I didn’t mean to discourage you from the P90X series. Remember the tons of people who love them. Good workout today!

Nicole, good to have you back! I'm so glad to hear your sister is doing better. Did you use her treadmill at all? No, I don't want to find out the baby's sex. I'm now trying to come up with names.

Susan - Do you remember the website you ordered from? I need to get some. I used one from my Tamilee Defy Gravity Video, but it wasn't very hard to do.

Terri - I doubt I'll take total rest days until I've lost a few pounds. I've opted to be very aware of how I feel each day and if I feel okay, I'm going to do a "recovery workout" on Saturday's and make sure I keep the intensity down a notch or two. If I feel particularly good or bad one week, I will adjust this accordingly and may even take a total rest day and just stretch. I'm really not allowed to do a LOT of positions in yoga, as they put too much strain on my shoulders, i.e., down dog, plank...are 2 I'm not allowed to do....so yoga is sort of senseless without those powerful poses. I do stretch yoga or stretch tapes on my day off. Good luck with your decison. I know it's hard to judge.

I doubt I'll be able to resist the cake today as it's TTOTM. I never eat it anyway. I probably have cake 2 or 3 times a year and I love it.

Todays workout was C&W w/u & step only from a premix, then SB Premix add on combos 1,2, & Challenge.
Then I did C&W abs adding some resistance, SS abs w/ resistance and 100 resisted crunches with the Bowflex.
