Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Sat Jan 21

Hi Everyone -

This morning I did 40 minutes of Steppin' Rhythm by Pam Cosmi and 1/2 hour of yoga - Pure Tranquility by Rainbeau Mars. I was only supposed to do "lite cardio" and stretching today but my cardio ended up being more moderate, but I had a bit of a chocolate binge yesterday, so I'm okay with that today. I feel fat and I'm bloated today and hormonal so doing a rest day after the horrific week I had wasn't an option for me.

I really didn't want to do that yoga tape (first time I've done it) and boy did I need it. It was recommended by the girls at VF because it's mostly stretch type yoga and I wanted something I could do with my injury. It was the best yoga tape I've ever done for stretch purposes. I loved it. I'm going to head over to VF and get a few other recs from them.

Have great weekends everyone. I'm off to soak in my tub (no aromatherapy though cuz I can't smell). We're going to see that Vampire/Werewolf (spelling??) movie with Kate Beckinsale "Underworld Evolution". I found out my husband has the hots for Kate Beckinsale.

Sorry I haven't been around as much lately......as y'all know...work has been hectic and stressful and my boss gave me a 10 minute dissertation yesterday on my "doctor appts" and working the early shift, as I made the appt to go to the specialist. She told me I"m going to need to start using my personal and vacation time!! She's such a Witch.....why can't she just be understanding. I told her I thought it better to be there working than not there. .....sorry for the rant.

Lora, I can honestly see it both ways regarding you leaving work for drs. apts. You need to go, and drs only make apts during regular "work" hours. However, you're needed at the office. I had someone work for me who was always leaving for something or other and I had to get rid of her. Now, years later, I'm leaving MY job for drs. apts and get my pay docked.

We're off today to get a playpen. I found out yesterday my girlfriends planning baby shower/girls get together near the end of February. I wasn't going to do anything, but it'll be fun.

Good Morning Ladies!

I never got back here yesterday. My ds6 had hockey and then dh and I went to the movies. We saw New World. It wasn't what I expected. However, it was nice to get out just the two of us.

Today, I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill CTX - shoulder, biceps and triceps, and then 200 walking lunges and a stretch. Tomorrow, I'll probably do cardio and my hour yoga DVD again.

Lora ~ I need to start researching some shorter yoga DVDs. I really find my flexibility really improves if I keep it in at least twice a week. However, I love Byran Kest Power yoga, but it's so long. I guess I could always do half.

Susan ~ How fun a baby shower! That's sweet of them. Have fun buying baby stuff today! You asked if I like the SS. I do like it for lower body. The high rep/low weight thing seems to be working for me! :)

Have to go! We have to be at a b-day party at noon. Later there's a family movie night with a bunch of friends. We got so much snow last night. It's so pretty on the trees. I'm going to take some pictures before we leave.

Good morning:)
This morning I did P90X Kempro and a 3.25 mi treadmill run. I have spent more time working out this week than normal. I would still like to do the P90X str.. tomorrow or later today. Today may not workout. Loads going on here. I have done this and I need it!!

Dallas, have fun with the birthday party. My grandson is having one today. I am taking my granddaughters there this afternoon. They are having a magician. It will be fun.

Susan, how are you feeling?? Better I hope. Enjoy the baby shower.

Lora, you come up with workouts by so many people I have never heard of. I have to research and see if they are ones that I think I would like. I have looked at the Turbo Jam workouts. Cardio party looks good, but have heard complaints on the music. I tend to ignore that as we all have our own likes on that. Is it fun and fairly intense?
