Hardcore Gym Style DVD options?

Hi Cathe!

First off, thanks so very much for this upcoming series!

I posted a suggestion on another thread regarding the Gym Style Strength Training workouts. I've noticed many are happy with the separate DVD option, with the exception of this portion. Perhaps you could offer the option of three separate DVD's or a compilation DVD with all three workouts combined?

Thanks for doing your best to meet the needs of your customer base!

Again - great idea, Kandy! Maybe Cathe could set up a vote for how many prefer this as one or as 3 separate? Thanks.

Please don't put this series on individual DVD's! Because you have put(in the past)more than one workout on a DVD is what makes you stand out from all the other home fitness exercise instructors. WE LOVE THIS ABOUT YOUR DVD'S People that have DVD players that hold more than one disk at a time will be able to program within the various new workouts. I won't.

Can't this be made like CTX an put onto two DVD's?

Disappointed,

Natalie

Please think of other people.

As much as I appreciate the way Cathe has marketed her DVDs to date especially as it meant I got to try workouts I might not have tried if they were all on separate DVDs, I think this time, she's made exactly the right decision. It's not easy at all to author a DVD of the kind Cathe makes AND make sure it works with every kind of DVD player out there.

While I haven't had any problems with Cathe DVDs, many people have because their DVD player is not capable of playing these kinds of DVDs. It's not their fault and I think it's quite inconsiderate for people to insist that as many workouts as possible are put onto one DVD. The technology isn't up to it and not everyone can afford to buy a new DVD player at the drop of a hat. You can buy high quality DVD players cheaply here in England but I understand they are still expensive in the United States and Canada. Additionally there will be a substantial number of people who will be happy to pre-order based on yesterdays announcement that the workouts will be available individually knowing that their DVD player should be able to play the new workouts without a problem.

- Lisa :)

RE: Please think of other people.

I totally agree with you Lisa. Most people who are die-hard Cathe fans will most likely buy the whole set but not everyone of us will pre-order. Some of us don't want the whole set. Some prefer just the cardio/circuits/core training; others just prefer the strength training workouts. I really appreciate Cathe's decision to have separate discs for each workout. However, I do feel for the Gym Style Training, these 3 workouts are best suited in 1 DVD because of the option for premixes.

RE: Please think of other people.

I'm wondering if putting the Hardcore series on individual DVDs is linked in any way to the discontinuation of VHS. I know if I don't want one of the two workouts offered on a particular DVD, I won't drop $50 on it, dispite all the premixes. I'll buy the VHS instead. But I do agree that the 3 gym style workouts would be better on a single DVD. Even the Slow and Heavy workouts are sold only as a set on VHS, and as a single DVD.

RE: Please think of other people.

I thought I was thinking of all people, those with or without previous problems...

Since I have no idea of the complexity of creating any DVD whether it has 3 workouts or 1, it was simply a suggestion.
