I can't believe we are almost through March  I had a pretty decent workout yesterday. STS MESO2 Chest only followed by 30 min of Athletic Step. 53 min and 573 calories. That sure is a sneaky little step workout :p

Today is back and 30 cardio. BBL

Theresa

Today was cardio (oh joy) and I chose Amy's Kickbox Surge. I did all the combos, no surges, plus the ab work. Had an ok workout. I hate cardio. It's not even fun for me anymore.

HR STATS:
1 hr. total
3 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
42 minutes above zone
481 calories burned

The highes my HR got was 148 bpm and that was with the ab section. I don't find the kickboxing section all that challenging and my HR never gets up real high with it. I probably should have done the surges but just didn't want to.

Theresa - Nice workout! Good combo.

Good Morning - Biceps and cardio today, then I'm done with this rotation. Not sure when I'll squeeze my workout in, but I will.

Theresa - I agree. Athletic Step is sneaky. I was surprised a little the first time I did it. Good workout yesterday.

Debbie - I went through a burn-out period with cardio. NOTHING was fun. I don't know why/how it passed. It's another reason I've been messing with making up my own interval workouts and also part of why I've been looking into kettlebells (I get tired of DVD's sometimes, even if the workouts themselves are really good). More total body strength moves with a cardio component (kettlebells) seem like they might be a good move for me. I have Kickbox Surge and really liked it - got tired of it fast, though. If I remember, one of the combinations (is it the second one?) goes on forever.

Hope everyone has a great day and workout!

Lori-have a good workout :D

Debbie-I had the same burnout a few weeks ago. I'm sure it doesn't help when you are still probably not 100%. I wish I had some encouraging words to help you  To help me, I am trying to change the duration of cardio each week (adding some after weights, doing one HIIT, etc...), I broke out some oldies, and added in some new work (like cycling, the ropes gone wild, and jump rope) to keep things fresh. What do you find so daunting? Is it the length? Are you bored w/ the cardio you have or maybe just having an off day?

Lori - I've gone through this before but it has never lasted this long. No cardio workout appeals to me and for some odd reason I have no desire to get my HR up anymore. It's weird actually. I need to start doing my Cardio Coach workouts again but my hip flexor is still bothering me. Not sure what I'm going to do about this problem. And I think all the combo's in KB Surge go on forever. LOL!

Theresa - I am just finding that I have no desire to kick my HR up. A lazy kind of feeling, I guess. I have no desire to push myself when it comes to cardio. I've never felt like this in all my years of training so I'm not sure what is going on. And yes, I'm not 100% feeling better yet so maybe that's it. I keep thinking it will get better and it just keeps getting worse.

Ok. Got biceps done over lunch. Also did MMA Fusion. I like the 2nd and 3rd combo's.

Theresa - Thank you. It's DONE, at any rate. Honestly though, I didn't feel like doing anything today except curling up in a ball. Having an "off" day, I guess  .

Debbie - Yah. The Kickbox Surge Combo's ... and there are FIVE of them aren't there? I'm sorry you're dragging (and that your hip flexor's STILL bugging you). I agree with Theresa. Also, I wondered: could you maybe be a bit aenemic or something? What about your thyroid? I hesitate to mention this stuff because you're knowledgeable and on top of nutrition, etc. But it came to mind so I thought I'd mention it.
