Cathlete
GM LADIES-
Yesterday was weiight and steady state. workout was 42 min and I burned 586 calories
SS1-sissy squats, bench press, sumo deadlift, front raises (had to decrease weight due to shoulder trouble)
SS2-rear bb lunges, incline db rows, chest flyes, russian twists

Followed up with Olesya and she increased my cardio and cut my carbs a bit.

Debbie-I have not had fantastic results yet but it's my own fault. I still have some issue with the eats. But I will get it right. I really want to see what my body can look like. Sometimes I think I am my own worst enemy b/c I have never had a flat stomach, I want one but sometimes I cannot visualize myself looking lean and cut. Does that make sense?

Debbie/Linda-you tube "broomstick shoulder stretch". I talked to Olesya about my shoulder problems and she told me to start doing this as much as possible. she said some of her clients had complete turnaround with their shoulder trouble.

I took another day off and now it's getting ridiculous. I have no pain when I sit, stand or lay down, but I can't straighten up when I stand up. Well, I can but that's when it hurts. It hurts to lay on my back, too. I don't get it. The pain isn't getting worse, but it's not getting better either. Now I'm not sure what I'll do. Next week is my recovery week and even though it seems this week turned out to be my recovery week, I may just take the next few days off and start my recovery week on Monday doing the workouts P90X has laid out. I'm so frustrated right now, this was a real stupid thing to cause me back pain like this. Geez.

Anyways, slept in again. At least that feels good!

Lora - That wasn't my dad, that was a joke I found on another website. My dad passed away earlier this year. I just thought it was hilarious and wanted to pass it on. Also, I'm not sure what to say about your pains. Do you have any type of muscle disorders like MS or something like that? Maybe arthritis? Have you ever gotten checked for things like that? I don't want to tell you to stop working out, but sometimes that's the only way to heal. Even cardio is VERY hard on joints, the back, the knees. Anyways, I hope you don't get upset for me stating my 2 cents. I'm just concerned at how you are always in pain. I don't know how you can function every day being in that state.

Diane Sue - That sucks about your order. Maybe you can sell some of that stuff on ebay? Try to get some of your money back.

Theresa - Thanks about the stretch, I'll definitely look it up.

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Thrive Kickbox cardio with Helen Dunne followed by Xtreme Cardio Dance Latin. Workout was 64" and I burned 662 calories. Max HR was 158. Not sure if I like the instructor on the kickbox workout, but the workout was decent though.

Deb - no, I don't mind your 2 cents. I'm not sure I could take any significant time off for mental reasons. It's been very stressful at work and I need to work out for the mental release. I did initially take about 4-5 days off when I fell down my steps back in January. I've always had this right sided pain, however, it's been worse since the fall and the car accident. I had an MRI a while back that said I have 3 bulging discs, one is pretty bad at C6-7. I also had a facet joint problem (base of the neck) and arthritis and a spur in my spine that I was told would get worse as I aged....so I guess that is happening. I do use my Rebounder some to modify some of the impact from the cardio. I don't know how I go day in and day out in pain either. It's depressing. Work is also creating stress. Yesterday, a manager from another department saw me sitting down (I only sat for 30 seconds) and she ran back to my manager and told her I was sleeping at the Counter! That place is something else.....then 2 minutes later, everyone in the department hears about it. Frustrating! I'm sorry you are no better today. I wonder if all of us are experiencing increased problems due to the weather change partially??

Have great workouts everyone.

Theresa and Linda - I think I posted responses to you ladies late last night on yesterday's thread.

Lora - I totally understand. We all need our workouts to deal with life, at least I do. I'm so frustrated this week that I've had to sit out my 3rd week of P90X. But I'd rather do that then be laid up for weeks on end. In your situation, though, it seems you just need to do whats best for you. You know your body better then anyone else. I just hope one of these days those pains will go away.

Where is everyone?

finished my workout. Idid Insanity Max Interval Sports 55 minutes(took me 57 because I paused to catch my breathe
icon_lol.gif
) calories burned was 487, Max HR was 172, 30% fat.
I thn went on and did Insane Abs 33 minutes 252 calories, Max hr 166 40% fat. I finished off with Flexible Warrior 3.0 yoga for athletes swim and some foam roller work 15 minutes 51 calories. Total calories today was 790, workout was 1 hr 43 minutes.
I thought I had a book when I first opened the Insanity box. It ended up being a huge holder for two dvds. It seemed like a waste since the Sport Interval one had the same abs on it that is on the other dvd. I really liked the abs. They were tough. No crunches. He does standing stuff while warming up more of a cardio workout, then down to a lot of stuff in a v sit position, then lots of different plank work. I felt my core and abs were worked well. I am previewing the upperbody workout and it is not going to be easy. He is picking up heavy weight. I need to do a couple of things and leave a little other to pick up the children.

Meals, yesterday were pretty good again.
1during and post workout- aftershock 1/2 serving
2 omelet with 2 eggwhites and w1 whole egg, onion, spinach and tomato topped with tobasco
3 Luna bar
4 black bean and turkey chili
5 protein shake with 5 frozen pineapple chunks and water
6 tofu brulee from clean eating cookbook(should have had this earlier in the day) I changed it up and used half splenda in it and demerara cane sugar on top

Debbie, so sorry to hear about your back. Those things are so frustrating. Not sure what to tell you to do. If it was me I would probably foam roller it and use a heating pad or sit in the jacuzzi tub. I like the Insanity workouts I got. Even this upper body one looks good. He is using heavy weights. I see that there is some cardio based moves in it too. Looks like a tough workout. It is the recovery drink that I am not too thrilled about. But I guess I could use it. I hate that it costs so much.

Lora, sorry about your issues at work. That is too bad. I think most injuries get worse as we get older. I have a bone spur in my foot. I was told that it shouldn't bother me. Hmmm

Theresa, nice workout. I hope cutting some carbs and increasing cardio gets you the results you want.

Hello Ladies- sorry I couldn't get back earlier. Today is effin' exhausting. Our furnace was leaking poisonous gas into our house, so they shut off the heat. It is supposed to get down to 20 degrees tonight. We purchased a home warranty and they denied our claim saying it was pre-exisitng. I have been on the phone half the day arguing with people trying to get our friggin' furnace replaced. It is going to cost a fortune....

Anyway, sorry to vent. It will all be ok, I'm just mentally exhausted.

Debbie-it sounds like a pull-probably at the insertion point. Which workout caused you the trouble, I forgot? You should be good to go in a few days, but I would be very frustrated too.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone. I'll try to get back later.

Theresa

I am tired and headed to bed early. Have to try and be up around 4:30 so I can get my workout in before I take the granddaughters to school. I plan on doing Insanity upper body workout. It looks like there is some cardio factor and more abs in it. I actually feel kind of sore this evening from the workout this morning:D

Theresa, I hope you get that furnace fixed soon. It is in the 20's here today. I should have pulled off the cover and plugged in the heater for our sprinkler system. Sure hope that I am not sorry. I had a Christmas program for granddaughter to go to tonight and picking up children etc. It was dark when I returned. I think I have to go to the shed and find a wrench to get the cover off. Do you have any heat? Things like that can sure bring on the stress.
