Good Morning
Today I'm going to do GSL I hope I feel good enough to get all the way through. I'm starting my heavy weight training this month since i've done 3 months of lots of cardio and muscle endurance.

Thanks guys, you are all very sweet. And for Anne Lora Netta...we all think we're fat, we need to be easier on ourselves, yet disciplined too! I think everyone has a bit of body dysmorphic and that can be a negative and positive.

Deb did you do a p90x ...your pix are amazing too!!! When were you in the Magazine, I wish I could read that article, you look amazing. I am very impressed with when I see your picture with your niece.

Netta you cracked me up with the bb's on the nipples, yes, those stickers gave me flashbacks to the infamous Janet concert. And anne, yes those squeeze plates are just as uncomfortable for us bigger gals, especially when they say we need to squeez to about 1/4- 1/2 inch. I was like what????

Lora, I have neck problems too, I hope I don't end up suffering neck pain from p90x...and Ash is dropping of BC's 15 on Monday...I have a feeling that song was the most recent one on the radio.

Ok plumber just left and got nothing accomplomplished except I don't have the right parts...ugggh.

I'll be back later, have to venture out and the temp her plummeted to 30 from 68 in 2 days!!!

P90X question. When I am looking at my classic rotation how come it sticks with chest/back for the entire phase 1? I don't get this. Obviously, you would not work chest/back for a month. I am just trying to figure it all out. Help!

Holy MOly! You guys are chatty this morning. I'm might not catch up here. LOL! Anyhoos, Today is Cleaning/Decorating Max. I want to get in a CC workout also. I think I'll do #4 and compare my calorie burn to Debbie's. I'll probably get half of hers. LOL!

Char- Great picture with the 3000 lbers!!! You crazy? :) I got up to #20lb with P90X. I tried #25 but my left arm can't budge it and my right can move it up about a inch, plus my form goes out the window. Yes, you do Chest/back for 3 weeks then recovery week...then it will change in phase 2. It's a toughie!

Meg-Dang your hip! I hope the pain goes away soon.

Amber- With P90X, I did a few Cathe cardio workouts here and there. I rode my bike alot and did other cardio. Just whatever I felt like on days that called for doubles. Love your picture. You are georgous!

Anne- I remember the 3# and 5# days too. I've been lifting forever and can't lift like some here. I just think everyone is different and have different strengths. Like, I'm extremely strong when lifting heavy food to my mouth. LOL!

Diane Sue- Be careful on the ice! I've about gone down a hundred times when I walk my dog out to the bathroom. LOL!

Lora- Great calorie burn with the yoga! Have you had any cookies today? I'm keeping my eye on you. LOL! I'm good so far.

Jeanette- I bet you'll work up to 20#'s on biceps with P90X. Geez, I never got metal bee-bee's with my mammogram. WTH? :)

Debbie- Like I said above, I'm going to do CC#4 and see what calorie burn I get. I'm going to be on my St. Bike though.

Randi- Good to hear you are feeling alittle better. Take it easy on your workout.:)

Dallys - nope.......and you'd be proud of me. I went to Mom's last night for dinner and she had fresh - homemade Christmas Cookies - fudge brownie ones that I love and I had a small amount of chocolate pudding instead (made with skim milk). I still shouldn't have had the pudding though and feel guilty about that.

I don't have time to respond to everyone right now....but I'll be back.

Amber - are you able to do pushups with your neck problem? I cannot do them without getting severe spasms in the radiation of my left intrascapular area. I'm not saying I'm not strong enough to do them, I can do them on my toes, but if I even do them on my knees...I get a horrid, deep spasm that lasts forever. Sadly, I have to either do them on my knees and suffer the pain or do them on the wall (like I did in PT). It sucks...cuz I like the way they make my shoulders look but I'm not able to stand the pain. I also get bad trap spasms and I'm still tyring to figure out what I get them from. Mostly balancing postures in yoga, side plank, crow, etc and I think recently roll outs for the abs with the gliding discs might be doing it cuz I've had bad ones and that's what I did the other day.

gotta run.......I'll be back. We're going to see that Van Wilder movie.

Toasty - I got my Villainess Whipped Cream today and my Grandpa Joe soap......Toffee candy and Rum.....yummy. She made another batch of that cream on the 15th but she's not planning on going into the lotion making business.

I did not get my Bitter Moon today. I will not order anymore Lunars if I cannot get them in time. I am very aggravated. No package from you either. I like Grandpa Joe and I have the whipped cream. Thought you had some already..did you get more?

Still waiting for hubby to get home from Maryland. His best friends dad died.

I guess I will be joining the fine ranks of the super bionic women like yourself soon. Thanks for the info. Oh, that is gonna hurt! I still have DOMS in my biceps so just thinking about more DOMS makes me squeal with delight! lol

Hi,
I did GS triceps and then the timesaver premix of BM2 and on an 8" step. Made a difference bumping it up, so lots of sweat.

Deb, Cardio Coach #4 is a toughie, good burn. I don't think I've ever gone over 300 calories on any of these workouts. I hear my HRM registers low. Someone else with an M32 said the same thing. Have fun at the Christmas party. My DH's is next Friday night at a Dude Ranch. We also get to stay overnight in a cabin there. Should be fun, but my clean eating, oh my!

Randi, hope you are bouncing back. Going back to weight training after the circuit rotation feels much better for my body.

Amber, I know I'm really not fat fat, I'm pretty happy with my upper body when I look in the mirror (in street clothes), but it's the lower body that I know has fat on it, heck I can grab handfuls of it! It's just that I watch what I eat pretty well, exercise regularly for at least an hour a day, you'd think that would be enough!!! But of course not. On the plus side, I feel awesome health and cardio wise.

Dallys, yes, they've always put those bee-bees on me. Not sure what they are for though. You really think I'll be using my 20#ers? That would be fantastic. Let us know the cardio burn on CC#4. What HRM do you have?

Lora, way to go on staying strong around the cookies. Cookies are my downfall, not donuts or cake, but cookies. What is Grandpa Joe soap? I'm sure it doesn't smell like an old man LOL!

No, I don't pay. BTW, nice workout. I got the hrm monitor wrapped up under the tree. Dh and I got it for ourselves for Christmas. I shouldn't have wrapped it. I know I need it for P90X. What was I thinking? Oh, and Grandpa Joe soap is nice...butterscotch drizzled over caramel. Characteristic scents are Grandpa's toffee candies with a stiff shot of rum. You know you want some! lol

I was just in the basement doing laundry and spotted our highest dumbells...they were 35#'s there is no way I could curl it, barely swung it up. Maybe some day.

Lora...yes I have problems with pushups, also because I've had my pects cut, I can barely do 10 boy push up's.

Speaking of that, I am doing fit test in the morning. then maybe checking out the yoga one, I'm pretty curious about that because I have no experience with yoga...should be very interesting.

Dallys...I think they only use the bb's for diagnostic mams...it's like a compression (eeewww) and angle study, was a first for me with the bb's, so I was a little surpised.

My my, ladies! CChatty today. I love it. So I am thinking that maybe it isn't so much my hip as my sciatic nerve. I had issues with it when I was pregnant, and it is feeling alot like it today. Kinda like that pinching feeling. It is better though. I can deal with the scciatic, even though it hurts, as long as there is nothing wrong with my actual hip. So, on that note.......... thank you all for your compliments.

Lora- I just changed my diet to really clean (mostly), upped the fiber and protien, lowered the sugar and sodium, and whole grains. Then kept up with the working out. Trust me, my diet isn't very strict. Like, I had pizza last night, and I have a big homemade BB muffin every Sat at work. Heavenly they are! I could never starve myself. I LOVE to eat. :p For the record, I think you look wonderful! Out of all the people in that pic of you at the concert, you looked the best, most beautiful! Don't be so hard on yourself. I guarandamntee you aren't fat!!

Amber- I second that vote- you are beautiful! THanks for sharing your pic.

Well, i may go try a WO. I might just do UB. I was thinking of doing a circiut with the TM again, but only run 3 min at atime instead of five. I would love to work LB again after reading Anne's post, but I will wait.

Amber - I have never done Power 90. When the picture was taken for the Oxygen magazine I was doing strictly Cathe workouts. That pic was taken in Aug. of 2005 and it was in the Jan. 2006 magazine. The verbage is stupid, they asked me a ton of questions and then came up with the stupidest article.

Dallys - Did you do CC#4? I love that workout.

Jeanette - I usually hit around 300 with the CC workouts, I stay on my TM for whatever it takes to reach an hour. Thats how my calorie burns get so high.
 
I did coremax earlier today..forgot to mention. Held a plank with 12.5 on my back. Always tricky to do the hip dips when the plates want to slide off, but that just makes you stabilize your core even more so they don't fall off. I am nut!

Talk to ya'll more on Monday. Hubby will be on computer mostly all day tomorrow. Doubt I can get on unless the Steelers are playing.

Got my workout in.:)
I did CC#4 on my bike, stopped before the cool down and got on the treadmill and repeated challenge 3 to the end.
Workout was 1hr. 4 min. I was in my zone for 49 min. and burned 316 calories. My highest HR was 165. Seems I always burn around 300 calories if my workout is an hr.

Debbie- you got some great calorie burn on your workout. I just never get that. Dang!

Lora- YOu did good on not eating the cookies. I have to eat the cookies.:)

Char- Yea, you are going to like the Chest/Back workout. It's way tougher than it looks on paper.

Jeanette- I have the polar A5 HR monitor. I bet you get up to 20#s. I did, but definitely not on ALL the exercises. It just depended. Sometimes the 8#s or 10#'s were my best friends. LOL!

Char- Toffee and Rum...my kinda soap! Hubby might want me, with some a that. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amber- I love the P90X yoga. It's just long and sometimes that makes you not want to do it. LOL! But, it's a really good one as far as yoga goes. IMO.

Meg- You eat close to how I eat. I try not to eat alot of junk, try to get in my protein and fiber and vegies, but enjoy something good on occasion. I'm having homemade pizza tonight. I talked DH into putting wheat flour in the crust. Hope it turns out.

Well, off to the hot tub and a protein shake.:p :)

Dang, I lost a long post I had just typed.

Dallys, good calorie burn. My highest HR on CC#4 was 164. I've seen slightly higher out on the road doing some steep hills and trying to hang with the guys. I'm always in awe of these gals with HR's of near 200. Takes me a lot of work just to get to 150 some. Enjoy the pizza and hot tub. You are a cookie lover too? I had a non-fat chai latte at Starbucks today and also had an Aussie bar. It was yummy. Love seeds in cookies too.

Char, wow, 35#ers, I've still got my mouth open. I'll bet your DH is pretty proud of your strength. Mine encourages me to lift more so I can pack more firewood. He's so practical. Is your DH still working out? Hope he's busy watching football so you can chat.

Maeghan, I guess I'm glad it's sciatica and not a hip/joint problem. What can you do to ease the discomfort? Take it easy on the TM, okay?

Deb, you do great workouts and are really inspiring me. Maybe someday I'll tack on some more cardio at the end of a CC.

Hi Ladies - Finally finished with most of my Ebay business. I still have to make up imps and packs tomorrow. My computer is so messed up. Everytime I posted an item in E-bay - it boots me off and I have to reboot and connect again. Irritating!!

Amber - what do you mean that you had your pecs cut? Surgery?

Meg - You can't see my bottom half in that picture.

Regarding body issues -I've always had very low self esteem - goes hand in hand with my disease of addiction. I know I am very self critical also. However, I do need to lose weight and lean out my abs and legs. I can't stand my constant belly bloat. I have a lot of stomach/GI issues also that contribute to that problem. I haven't worn a bathing suit for at least 8-10 years due to feeling too fat to go out in public with one on. I also haven't worn shorts in about 5-7 years cuz I hate my legs. I hate knees....I think they are a weird looking joint!! I know.....I'm a freak of nature.

My DH is starting P90X tomorrow also! That's funny. I told him that he should join the check in and he just looked at me. I tell him all about you ladies a lot...but you know men...they never listen. He's been such a grump lately and mean to me. I can't deal with him! He said he can't type and it would take him forever - plus I think Char scared him off with her BIG BELLS!!! LOL.

I'm really sore today for once. I think I should probably start working my upper body on Wednesdays if I'm going to do yoga on Saturdays and Sundays. I've got to go look at yoga DVDs for tomorrow to see what I want to do. I'm going to do Kelly Coffey's Kickboxing for my cardio.

I've gotta go lie on my balls.
