Good Morning, I started today with Turbo Jam Fat Blaster no stretch then did Tracey Staehle's Core conditioning using a 10# dumbbell for some of the crunches. I am going to run on the treadmill in a little while and do some yoga. I don't know why, but I am so this morning from Push Pull upper.

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did TLT's Endurance for Movement. Workout was 63" and I burned 349 calories. I liked the plank work with the discs under your feet doing slide in's. I couldn't push it too hard, as I had to do the floor jumps, etc with my boot on and modified running with high knees on the rebounder.

Diane Sue - are you new shoes still good?

I'm surprised I'm the only one around here with a history of stress fractures, as much high impact and running as everyone does! Has anyone here had a stress fracture here besides me?

I placed my BPAL order this morning. Beaver Moon is a cherry/vanilla version this time and sounds good. I also ordered Midnight Kiss with red musk -- sounds delish. Now I have to try to get some oils together to sell to make some money to pay for my order!

Got in my leg workout before work:

reverse lunges with 110# 3 sets/10
firewalkers w/purple band
walking lunges with 40# db's 200x's (sets of 25)

Today ab work and arms!!!!!
 
This morning was Biceps and Triceps. Had a great workout. This 1 minute rest is killing me. This was short and sweet, all of 45 minutes. Love workouts like this.

Concentration Curls:
20# - 12/12/12
[font color=blue]***Don't care much for this exercise but it's great for the bicep peak.[/font]

Close Grip Barbell Press:
90# - 6/6/6
[font color=blue]***My pecs are still incredibly sore. I had trouble with the first set getting the first rep up but once my chest muscles warmed up I was good to go. They are REALLY sore now, though.[/font]

Skull Crushers:
55# - 10/10/9
[font color=blue]***Love this exercise.[/font]

Weighted Bench Dips:
55# - 10/10/10
[font color=blue]***These were hard. My tri's were fried by the time I got to these. It was all I could do to push out 10 reps.[/font]

Not sure what I'm doing today. Rotation calls for full body weights...but my legs are really sore from Mon. We'll see....

You guys have done some heavy weights today!

[font color=purple size=2]Morning Maniacs! Today will be a mtn. bike ride after work. I really needed to do yoga this morning, but I've dinked around to long (got caught up watching "Pretty in Pink" LOL!). My butt is real sore from lunges yesterday. I just don't get it. I can do "Butts and Gutts" and not get sore at all, and then I only do 3 sets of reps of 8 lunges with 30lb DB's and I'm really sore? What gives?[/font]

Lora- I don't do alot of high impact anymore...WAY to much for these old knees. I can run on the treadmill, but only in short intervals. Running for a long time would kill me. I'm extremely careful and don't want to mess myself up just for the sake of cardio. I want my own knees when I'm old. That's why I ride a bike mostly for cardio.:)

Char- Great leg workout. I don't know how you can grip 40 lbers for all those reps. I have to use my wrist-hooks for anything 30# or above and still struggle with my grip. Do you have a secret for your maniac gripage?

Debbie- Great job on the workout!}(

Lisa- YOu must have had a great leg workout Monday to still be so sore.}( "Hi" back at your DH!:)

Walk fast. lol. I only do 25 reps and take a 90 sec rest so shoulders aren't strained too much. I think maniacal thoughts. lol
 
Good morning tonight is Power Hour. I always have a hard time on all the squats she does. It hurts my lower back towards the end. And i dont ever go as heavy as Cathe does. You guys have a great day:)

Hello, all. I didn't check-in yesterday. I didn't sleep at all Monday night, and had a horrible headache pretty much all day Tuesday. Yesterday was just cardio; didn't have the strength to do weights. I did CTX's 10-10-10 cardio followed by CTX Kickbox (cardio), then CTX Kickbox abs and stretch.

Last night I still didn't sleep much at all. This morning I did Body Max (the original). The chest section was tougher than I remembered!

Diane Sue - See, I'd be done if I were you. I can't believe you're also going to do yoga and running. You go, girl.

Dallys - I think it's the 30# db that make you sore. I can do B&G with no soreness either, yet when I do Muscle Max's lower body premix, which is only 15 min long (going fairly heavy), I'm sore the next day.

Lora- Do you run? I don't. But I know I should (or at least do some form of cross training).

Char- Wow! I can't imagine using those weight loads for legs. Very impressive!!!

Debbie- I'm sure you've been asked this before, but what are Zottman curls.

Lisa- Have a great workout. Perhaps you could do MIS or Muscle Max since they have more upper than lower body work.

Randi- My low back always hurts during PH's squats!! Always! But I really enjoy Power Hour. Sometimes, I substitute ME's squat segment, but usually I just do PH's 'cause I'm lazy. Have fun.
 
I finished my workout. I did Cardio Coach 5 and did 4-1/2 miles after the stretch from this I did Yoga Shatki lunge and supine poses.

Lora, I am finding my new Mizuno's very comfortable. I would definitely buy another pair just like them when I am ready for more.

Dallys, I don't know what is up with diffences in workouts. I did Push Pull 3 sets yesterday and I can usually do 35# rows for 12 reps but after I did that for the first set I dropped to 25#. I think I should have done 30's maybe. I don't don't get it either. I think it is how fast the moves are and the rest periods. I have also had more soreness lately in areas I don't usually have. Might be because I have been really changing around the workouts. Muscles are dazed and confused LOL

Diane Sue, Lisa, Char- Maybe it is the amount of weight and I did change from forward lunges to back lunges. I don't think Cathe uses 30# db's in each hand in any of her leg workouts (I could be wrong), so maybe that's why her endurance type leg workouts don't make me that sore, especially for the time you put in. I did lunges then bench press and then a 1 min. rest, 3 sets. I really like being sore and it took so little time to get there.:) Hmmmm, makes you wonder.

Good morning maniacs!

This morning I did Cardio Coach Press Play. I LOVE this workout. I was going to do weights but my legs are STILL so sore from Monday's Power Hour Workout (see Lisa - you and me both!). I had a great workout. My hammies were so sore I thought I might die at one point. :p I kept my HR in the 170's and low 180's, so that was good.

I had my appt. with my neurologist this morning and I'm happy to say that I was able to weigh the same as I did last month when I was there (the nurse was going to let me hold my purse if I wanted to!). Whew!!! The past 3 weeks I've consistently weighed about 3 pounds less and today WHAM - they were back. Just in time for my appointment. Whew! He was so happy with me for not losing any more. I said "I told you!" :) He told me about some model in Italy he read about this morning who they took pictures of naked and posted billboards all over and she's anorexic and they are trying to get her help and he doesn't want me to get like that. Awww...how sweet. AS IF! Anyway one more little drug added to what I'm already taking b/c I get an average of 8 migraines a month (who knew - until he looked at the lovely calendar I kept for him - he was SO impressed - called us migraine sufferers compulsive something or others Diane Sue :p). His goal is to get me migraine free. Mine too. Yay!

My mom's knee replacement surgery went FABULOULSLY!!! I swear she didn't even look like she had surgery. I stayed there until about 7:30 last night and then I called this morning and asked her how she was and she said, "I'm great other than my knee hurts. But really other than that I feel just fine." How cute. :)

Off to lunch with some girlfriends. Hmmm...wonder if I'll get any work done today.

I wound up doing Powerhour.

DS--I think you are right about getting sore from changing things. What I did Monday that made my legs so sore...was that with legs I didn't do the same number of reps as Cathe but used heavy weight and went slower and deeper....it worked:)
 
Suz - you are lucky to have a doctor so motivated to getting you "migraine free". I wish I could get so lucky. Right now getting a job is more important than getting rid of my migraines any way.

Wormwood - yes, I ran up until my stress fracture in my foot. I'm not sure how long before I get the okay to run again. I'm still in my cast/boot and my next x-ray is on October 8th. When I'm in full capapcity, I do a large variety of aerobics.....but apparently not enough low impact, which is somthing I'm sure I'll correct when I get back to full speed.

Dallys -yes, I'm glad I was able to discover Spinning with my foot injury. It is a good low impact, high intensity cardio.

Well, I was able to get one of the interviews I turned down when I had that job. I was called for a Technical Typist position for Children's Services and didn't set the interview up cuz I had a job....but I called the guy on Friday and told him what happened and they were interviewing last week....but today he called and scheduled me for an interview on Monday. Fingers crossed. I have no idea what a "technical typist" for children's services would do. Any ideas?/
