Today was Shoulders and Trap and I had a great half hour workout. Love these shorter workout.

1 minute rest between each set.

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Military Press - 10's/12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)
Alternate Dumbbell Military Press - 15's/8 reps - 3 sets
***Should have gone a bit higher here but of course I have a twisted muscle in my right shoulder blade area again. Didn't want to irritate it anymore than it already was.

Barbell Front Raise - 20#/10 reps - 4 sets
***Love this exercise. Haven't done it in ages.

Lateral Raises - 12's/12 reps - 3 sets

Bent Over Lateral Raise - 15's/10 reps - 3 sets
***Did a "Y" instead of straight out to the sides. Really felt them.

TRAPS
Barbell Shrugs - 90#/15 reps - 3 sets

Starting my Christmas shopping this weekend. Oh joy....
 
This morning I started with Brook Benton's Cardio Pump Fusion yoga warm up and fusion cardio segments 32 min, 211 calories, avg hr 124- max hr 152. Then I did Brooks free audio download treadmill workout Trekking. I really like this workout and the music in it is fun. You get hill intervals and sprints. This was 48 minutes, 344 calories, avg hr 151- max hr 172 and I went 3.52 miles. I finished with Cardio Pump Fusion Yoga stretch and Flexible Warrior Yoga energy segment 23 min 81 caloroies. Total time was 1 hr 43 min and calories 736.

Debbie - The rotation you're doing looks great -- gets so much done so quickly. I can see why you're enjoying it. Good for you on starting the Christmas shopping. It's not my favorite thing either (shopping that is -- under any circumstances). I suppose it can be kind of fun if you ... well ... :confused: ... ? Giving presents is fun though, so I guess it's worth it.

Diane Sue - Very nice workout -- always appreciate the way you include yoga segments. Cool that you found a free download with good music. I only have one of Brook's workouts (Buts and Guts) and the music track is ... not really music. It's 8 notes repeated over and over and over and :confused: I try not to focus on that -- music is entirely a subjective matter of taste anyway but some days I just can't face that. It sure makes a difference when it's something you like though -- can even fire up my energy level and make me push harder if I REALLY like it. Anyway. Hope the yoga is helping your aches/pains and you're feeling better.

Roselyn - Liked your cardio mix yesterday - good workout today, too. I've heard her new series is very fun and challenging.

Yesterday, I did Lowmax (added in a weighted vest or held a light kb (10 lbs) on the intervals where this was possible). I also did a 45 minute Tae bo compilation (Ultimate Lower Body) that was mostly different kicking segments. Both of these were pretty good and a nice break from Insanity. Hadn't intended to do quite this much cardio but I must have slept crooked/funny on my shoulder/neck and I had a weird cricked feeling. Decided to leave it alone and do weight work today (back and biceps). I'll also do Insanity Recovery and some additional yoga (maybe a Baron Baptiste) and/or foam roller work. Then back into Insanity tomorrow. I have a handful of workouts before the recovery week. Not sure how I'll incorporate that -- then, I get to start the month 2 Max workouts :)

Lori, here is a link to the free downloads. You just scroll down for the free audio downloads. Brook uses regular music here with regular singers. Why oh why did you have to tell me that about the workout soundtrack LOL I never paid attention before. Now I will be listening for it. http://cardiopump.com/ I have not done all of them. The abs is just basic routine ab moves.
