Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did P90X Shoulders & Arms followed by Kenpo X and Cathe's 10 min. total body stretch. I wanted to do some restorative yoga but ran out of time. I enjoyed this workout today. Kenpo X was fun, but some of the sections let my heartrate drop too low so I added some hops, plyos or jumps during the blocking sections...so instead of being in horse stance, I hopped or plyo'd my horse stance. It seemed to work well.

Tomorrow is supposed to be Yoga X and then I'll be all caught up for this week.

I can't see myself sticking with these few cardio workouts if I end up doing the entire 90 day program. I may have to switch the cardio and yoga up if I stay on the program that long. I definitely want to try to get in one interval aerobic each week, so I'll have to look at that for this coming week.

I'm not sure what movie we're going to today. MOvies surely have stunk lately.

Have great workouts everyone and I'll be back later.

Diana Sue - you switched your cardio up while doing P90X, correct? I think someone could get really bored just doing Plyo X, Kenpo X and Cardio X.

This morning I did Step Blast and had an excellent workout! I had so much energy this morning, it was scary! Must have caught up on my sleep. My HR was up higher than usual, I was already in my zone at the end of the warm up. I think because the air is so humid this morning. I was in my zone for 41 minutes and burned 357 calories! Woo Hoo! My calorie burns have been up there lately as well. Maybe because I cut down on my cardio?

Hope you all have a great day and great workouts. I have two picnics this weekend. I'm hoping my eating won't be too bad.

HI Debbie - Yes, the dreaded picnic!! I hope I don't get an invitation for one on the fourth! I don't think I can get that lucky though. HOw much did you cut your cardio down to? What rotation are you doing?

Hi there!

I think I might do Cathe's July rotation. I didnt study it, but did do SJP. I enjoy the music in this workout quite a bit.:D

Debbie, since you track your heart rate, does yours go down significantly during combo 2 in SJP? Mine does. I make up my own stuff, like plunge-lunges and long hops during that segment.

Lora, Man, I LOVE to be invited to picnics. The food doesn’t faze me. I either bring my own, or watch portions. Getting together with friends makes me SO HAPPY!:D :9
I look forward to your review on Yoga from P90X. I did only part of it once. The guy sweating profusely grossed me out so much I had to turn it off. REALLY GROSS! Blah!

Have a great weekend. I'm going to take baby for a long walk today. It's beautiful out and we're in for a long stretch of rain this week, so I'm taking advantage of the nice day today.

Hi Ladies,

I did bodymax today. The rotation called for rest but yeah I didn't want to rest :)

Lora-I have my wish list for p90x. I just am not sure about it.
Debbie-Great job on your workout.
Susan-Have a nice walk. I am not going to do Cathes July rotation as I would add so much to it.

Hello to all who follow.

Terri

Good morning ladies!

I think today I might do Power Hour. I'm not sure yet. Since I rode 20 miles on Thursday night and 40 miles yesterday morning I think I'll take a day off the bike. I'm supposed to ride with my girlfriends again Monday morning and Tuesday morning so I suppose I should rest from the bike. I keep debating on how many days to do legs. Now that my lung test showed strong lungs (as far as the technician could tell) DH said maybe we just need to work on my leg strength. Hmmm...I wonder. I try to lift pretty heavy so I'm not sure that's it. But they do burn when I walk up the stairs from my basement - so that would be pretty weak legs! :p

I came up with a solution for days I simply want to go out and spin easy. I'll take my mountain bike. That way I won't care who passes me b/c I won't look like a cyclist who is simply slow. Sheeesh - I'm so vain!

DH was funny last night. I told him that since I don't go back to the doctor for 6 weeks I'm going to be going nuts trying to figure out if she'll find anything with all of the tests combined (which is how that technician says she'd make her determination - blood work, chest x-ray, lung function, etc.) or if I'm just a big baby and need to suck it up. He asked if I could just put him to sleep for the next six weeks and wake him up when it's over. Ha ha!

Off to Wal-Mart. We're "babysitting" DH's brother's dog tonight and tomorrow. He's an Irish Wolfhound. He's huge! I'll try to get him to take pics of Wabo and Gizmo together. That should be cute. Wabo likes to get up and go out at 3am, so this should be fun. Since I already have the 4:30am shift with Gizmo I told DH he could take the 3am shift. :)

Happy Saturday everyone!

Lora - I hate holidays, I worry so much about eating, its really hard for me to control myself when the food is right in front of me. When I'm home I'm find because I don't buy junk food. I am doing cardio for three days only for a while. I like it better, I hate cardio. I'm not following any specific rotation, I make one up at the beginning of each week.

Susan - SJ&P step part doesn't get my HR up much at all. It drops throughout the whole step workout part.

Terri - Body Max! You go girl! Thats a tough and long workout!

Suz - 40 miles? Holy crap! How long does it take you to ride 40 miles?

Debbie & Susan - Yes, I agree about that one section of Step Jump Pump. I also do something else there. I think I"m going to have to start going on the treadmill and working my way up to running. For some reason, it's hard on my back. I'll have to work at it. I need to force myself to get more variety with aerobics.

We went to see Superman and I slept thru most of it. IT was almost 3 hours long with previews. I think I'm going to start again. I wish my body would get a grip....or maybe I just need to get used to being this age!! LOL.

I'm off to get my E-bay stuff ready for posting.

I sometimes will use 2 sets of step risers when doing SJ&P. That helps a lot with the HR.

Lora - my dh and I were going to go see Superman today but didn't. Was it boring? I'm not too crazy about going to see it but he wants too.

Debbie - I think it was more just me. I'm extremely tired these last couple of days. I don't particularly like really long movies either. It was okay. I'm not really into Superman, but the DH wanted to see it.

Debbie - well, it took me 2 hours and 35 minutes, but it shouldn't have taken that long. We stopped at my friend's house b/c I was about to bonk (thought I had a gel in my pack with my spare tube but must have used it) and I needed half a banana and we were going right by there. We ended up locking ourselves in her backyard - yup, sounds silly, I know. We couldn't figure out how to work the gate - new gate. The door going into the house was locked, as was the one I pulled shut behind us from the garage. Luckily her daughter was home sleeping so lots of banging on the door, calling on the phone and yelling her name woke her up. It probably only put us about 10 minutes behind. Then I hit a HUGE headwind on the way home, yet we didn't have a tailwind going out. It just picked up out of nowhere. About an hour after I got home it stopped. So normally maybe 2 and a half hours or 2 hours and 20 minutes or so?
