Morning Fit Ladies -

This is my Recovery week in my P90X rotation. I have chosen to follow the rotation loosely this week. This morning, I did TLT Endurance for Movement with Tracie Long. This had a lot of plank work and pushups. My poor shoulders aren't getting a break here.

Diana Sue - I hate to bother you and the DH again, but I have another technology question. Basically, I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures at the Sound Check last week, so I emailed the girl that I met there and asked if she could email me her digital pics from the Sound Check. She did and I downloaded them. How do I get them made into real pictures from a film shop? Do you need to have a special computer function? I have a CD burner and I could burn them to a disk, but I don't have a photo option, only data, audio or copy. Do you know how I can get pictures from what she emailed me?

If anyone else knows the answer to the digital question, please let me know. I'm getting so out of touch with technology.....makes me feel even older!!

Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check in from work later.

Hi ladies,

Our camping trip was really nice. DH and I rode our quads quite a bit, along with the dogs. They loved it! The temps were in the 80's up where we were, slightly overcast and with a couple of sprinkles. It's been in the low 100's here at home so it was nice to get away from the heat.

Today was High Step Challenge (51 minute premix) for me. I'm into my 2nd week of this circuit rotation. Next week I'll be on a cycling vacation with 4 other ladies so that week will get no weight work, just cardio. Should be fun. We will not be doing high # of miles per day, probably between 30 and 50 per day, with time to shop, eat, drink wine, etc. We will be staying near Bend, Oregon.

Lora, from reading earlier posts, sounds like you are getting some good results on this rotation. Good for you!!! Hope someone can help you with the picture question. I'm not that up on stuff myself.

Well the Tour de France is over with and it was an exciting one to watch (for me anyhows). Hopefully, DH and I can get back to his workouts in the evenings. We'll see. He's slacked up for sure and put on a few pounds that he lost. Hopefully, he'll be motivated as I sure can't do it for him.

Have a massage tonite after work. Good workouts to all of you.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I got on my bike and went for 16 miles. Different route and very scenic. Love the smells. Smelled charcoal, damp basements, flowers, roadkill...some pleasant and some not. Passed a skunk (alive one in the woods) YIKES! Later worked my legs with heavy weights. My legs must have gotten stronger cuz I was able to go ALL the way down in a seated position with 130# and I did 3 sets of 12, plie squats with 120# (same sets), 100# for deadlifts in 3 sets of 10. Leg curls with 70#, 3 sets of 12, hamstring curls with 50#, 3 sets of 12 and 50 walking lunges. Was going to do more walking lunges but my quads were fried too much. I was on a endorphine high all day long! It was great.

Thank you ladies for your support regarding the devil thread. Too bad I wasn't around too much to feel the flames...too busy enjoying my ride, etc. and feeling good. We all have the same amount of time in the day and it is all how you want to spend your time...sitting on your butt analyzing words all day long or working out your butt so one day you can take some nice pictures of it. LOL! One in particular from the thread seems alittle jealous and insecure...too bad. I say just sit around watching soaps all day if you like the drama so much.
So anyhoo, today I am going to workout chest/back/abs. Might just do the slow and heavy series of chest/back. I am also going to ride my bike again this morning before it gets hot again.

Netta,

I bet you must eat a ton of food after you do that many miles on your bike. I know yesterday I ate a ton and only did 16 miles. I can't help myself...I feel I need it!!!! My dd just sat there staring at me as I shoved food after food in my mouth. Your post are so refreshing to read. Sounds like your on a vacation everyday! Just love to hear!!!!!!

Charlotte~~

Well, my dh and I are back from our mini-vacation and had a great time. I won't workout until tomorrow but I'm eating clean today. I can't take any more junk food. I ate really bad for three days and my body can't take it anymore.

On Friday we went out to Put-in-Bay and had a blast. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Drove a golf cart around the entire time so not much walking was done.

On Saturday we spent the day in Sandusky and Vermilion, Ohio. In Sandusky we played Put Put golf and in the middle of the game the skies opened and it downpoured on us. It was funny. We were cheating while playing put put but who cares? And we didn't keep score. Neither one of us can play golf worth a darn. We went into the arcade to dry off and played some games there. Then we drove into Vermilion and hit the shops there. Nice little shops with cool stuff. All of this is on the lakeside of Lake Erie so it was really cool to see the water. Its funny, Lake Erie is about a half hour away from our house yet we never go there.

Yesterday we went down south to Amish country. Ate at my favorite restaurant - The Barn. I love that place, its in Wooster, Ohio. Then we went shopping to a few littles shops, hit the Lodi mall and then went home. It was a nice three days and we are still off today as well. Slept in until 9 - that is unheard of for me, but it sure felt great!

I'll be back at my workouts tomorrow. I have a lot of grocery shopping and laundry to do today.

Charlotte - are you ignoring me? I've been asking about you for days and I even PM'd you........did you get my message. Sorry about the post. I didn't know what was going on and why everyone was saying stuff......I'm sort of in the dark.

Lora,

No, I am not ignoring you. Just didn't know what else to say. I was assuming you wanted me to burn the Deftones cd for you so I will. I usually don't get on the computer too much on the weekends. Once hubby is home and then my children, I can't seem to get on too much. You didn't miss much about the post of the Lady in the Water. I haven't read anymore of it. I am done with it. I could care less.

Well I just got back from a 10 mile bike ride this morning. I went thru the farm roads and down thru the hollows. I was very lucky to see a young buck this morning trying to get into the cornfield, but had a hard time finding a spot to make its way thru. Just breathtaking! I didn't see any skunk this time, but just a few groundhogs. There is a really large stream along the side of the road just about 2 mins from my home and I take some time to just relax and take in the sound and sights...awesome!

Netta and Suz,

Are there any hills that you simply just can't make it up? There is one on the hollow road that is so steep that I think my heartrate would get passed 200 if I tried. It is rough. That is the only one so far that I walk up with my bike. I ride up all the others.

Debbie,

That is the way I feel. Sometimes I will crave potato chips or fries, but when I try to eat one, it just taste disgusting to me anymore. My body rejects it now.

Hi Netta and Suz,

What is a good bike that's not very expensive for a beginner bike rider??? Reading about your rides is making me want to give bike riding a go. The Y I'm going to has a riding night where people meet and take a bike ride and I'm considering doing that for a change in pace, so any suggestions? I guess I wouldn't need a mountain bike or would it be okay to have one of those to ride on the road too, not just trails.???

Thanks! You ladies rock! :)

Sandy,

I have a mountain bike.I am not sure what the others have. Would be interesting to hear. Nice hearing from you again...where ya been?

Charlotte~~

Hey Charlotte,

That's what I would like to get, because I think I would like riding trails, but I would also like to ride the roads too, so...

I've been reading the posts, but really haven't had too much time to post due to the merge we're going through at work. Well we actually closed on it the 14th of July. I've just recently found out that I will be transfered to their corporate office which is only 10 more exits from where I'm at now, but that can make a 30 minute difference coming and going to work, not to mention me and my husband work very close to where we were able to drive in together everyday therefore saving gas and expense on our cars. Needless to say I'm not too happy about the way things are panning out at this point, but on the other hand very glad to still have a job! Go figure. Sorry for the tangent, and like you I hardly ever get on the computer at home on the weekends, so when I get a chance at work I get on here just to see how everyone is doing. I'm still working out. Been going to the Y a lot, and doing some classes, but I need to get back into the weights! I know you didn't expect to read a book from me...HA Sorry!

Charlotte - the PM I sent you asked you if you think I'll like the Def Tones. What do you think? Can you explain it?

Hi guys!
I have been talking to Charlotte about a rotation, and she invited me to stop in. I read this thread everyday, but I know you guys blow me away in how much you lift LOL! I am working up there though, and I'm seeing great results lately. I have recently been trying to lift as heavy as I can, really wanting that burn.
I have two little boys, Chase is 4, Connor is 2. I have been married for 5 years to Greg. We live in a teeny town in upstate NY. I have a couple horses, and I am a SAHM. I have lost 50 pounds since I had Connor, and am finally breaking through a plateau that I have been on for MONTHS! It didn't help that I had to go on Prednisone for a while and gained 8 pounds, but I have lost that since I am down to 1mg a day, tapering off.
Anyway, I think all you guys are great, and very impressive, and I would like to get to know all of you better.

I started the rotation Charlotte gave me today.
It was all body weights, with 1min plyo moves in between. I did abs and stretch from C&W. I was dripping with sweat after, and it was about 1 hour.

You like what I like so I think you might. They are very different and it is hard to explain...really moves me though as far as the raw emotion goes. Like that. Well what do you have to lose. I will burn it for you and if you don't like it, your hubby probably will.

Charlotte~~

Meg,

Glad you stopped by and you are now dripping with sweat! That is the way to do it!!!!! Everyone is welcomed here and we all do our own thing. You will find lots of support and very nice down to earth women. We help each other out alot with workouts and sometimes just there for each other, ya know? It is a nice place to come to. We keep it real here.

Hi Meaghan!
I havent been checking in lately, but just wanted to let you know, I'm about 30 miles away from you. Small world, huh?:D
Susan C.M.

Hi to everyone,
I am going to do a quick checkin my family is showing up. Today was library day with the grandchildren. I started with a 2.25mile run, then Circuit Max minus the w/up and str, S&H Triceps, Biceps and Abs then 2 sets 25# barbell rollouts on toes at 15 reps, Knee raises with a 15# med ball on the tower 15 reps, Bowflex 100# resisted crunches 50 reps, and Bowflex resisted oblique twists 50# 25 reps each side.

Meaghan, welcome. It is always nice to have others to share there fitness experiences with.

Lora, I will have to talk to dh. He used to send me pictures from Iraq. I downloaded them and saved them to my desk top. Then I printed them out. I would think you could save them and put them in my pictures and put them on a disc. You could take them to a place that has one of the machines or a photo place I think to have them made off.

Got to run!

Welcome Megadoo!!

Hi Susan - How are you? Please try to stop in more often.

Charlotte- sure......I'll take a listen to the Def Tones. Thanks for offering.

Diana Sue - I did it. I burned the pics onto a CD and I called the store to see how much prints will be. Now I just have to wait for the DH to get paid. Thanks for all of your help recently.

I'm having major exercise ADD since I'm only following the P90X Recovery Week Rotation loosely.....I can't decide what I want to do tomorrow. I've got it narrowed down to Seasun's SUS, Seasun's Bosu Blast, or TurboJam. Who could believe I didn't want to get into the rotation habit. Now, I'm probably gonna be stuck in rotation mode for a while. I tend to get like this. I get used to what I'm doing and then I don't want to change. Right now, I'm sort of used to following the paper. and not having to decide.
