Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did P90X Core Synergestics and listened to Buckcherry. My delts and upper back are pretty darned sore from TurboJam with the weighted gloves on yesterday. Maybe I shouldn't have used them since today I did Core Syng and Wed is Chest, Triceps and Shoulders.

Ugh.....it's Monday already and I don't want to face my mean boss this week. Wish I could crawl under the covers and hide for a while! I'm on my final stretch of P90X and I'm pretty sick of it. I will push thru it though cuz the prize at the end is a trip to Vegas and then I get to play around and do whatever for a while and then hopefully, I'll have new Cathe's in my possession, as well as Barry's Bootcamp to do a rotation with.

Diana Sue - I've heard there are a couple new Turbo Jam's on the horizon in the near future. I can't wait for those. I'm ready for a few new ones. I love Turbo Jam, except the music really sticks in your head. If I were to do a Cathe total body rotation like your doing, I can only do weights on the days you do both cardio and weights due to time restrictions. Do you think it would be better to do 3 weights a week or 2 weights a week and one extra cardio? I'll probably also do cardio on the rest day....so I can get an extra one in.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work, but it depends on where my boss is and how busy I am.

Went to see Invincible with Mark Wahlberg and it was pretty good.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I did leaner legs. Kept the weight at 70# for these. Deadlifts the same. Maybe not that heavy to some, but with more reps and those nasty low ends, it made my lungs burn really good. By the time I got to the sit down stuff (bar over head and stepper behind me), my legs were shaking so bad I could hardly stand. I did it with 50#. Then off for a bike ride into town, 14 miles. No doms in legs yet, but it is coming. I feel better this morning. More like myself. Now all I need is my period to come. GOSH!

So you went to the movies with Marky? How did you manage that? lol, just kidding. We went to see Talladega on Saturday. Some of it wasn't funny.

I just want like 1lb. for kick boxing, so i feel like i am not punching in the air.
Leaner Legs at 70 lbs. You are a wild woman. I am not throwing more than 60 on my back. Wowza....
Char, glad to see you are out of bed early today. Don't you just love the period. I think menopause is coming here. 2 good days then down to nothing, but still horrific cramps.It is the only time i wish once a month that i had a weanie...HAHAH.
Be like wearing a 1970's pad all the time...
I am sore from head to toe.
Tonite is back/shoulders/bi and my chest still hurts from 2 days ago.
Feel like i already had my boob job.
How is E-bay going ?
I am done for now. Fighting with one who says they didn't recieve and it was delivery confirmed...I am not refunding them.Let him fight with the post office.

I have had the moments with ebayers as well..many, many times. It never ends...part of doing ebay, I guess. Stick to your guns as always. Keep all your receipts. When those time comes, and they do, I always send them a picture of the receipt with their zipcode circled. So yeah, let 'em fight it out with the post office. Not your problemo!

Great that your chest still hurts from two days ago! Love to hear it!!!!! Your sculpting it, girl! Doing your thing...doing your own boober job.

Anne- sounds like you are doing really good with those weights! Good luck with all your planning for your boob job and such

Lora- don't worry, Monday's always end! Have a good one.

I am starting my rotation today. I will be doing Chest and then 45 min cardio. I will check back after I figure out exactly what cardio to do, probably a step.

For chest I will do:

push ups (BLAH! Not my favorite,but necessary)
incline dumbell press
flat bench dumbell fly
flat bench dumbell press
dips off bench with legs elevated
I am aiming for 5 sets of 10-12reps

Gosh ladies. I forgot to say what I was going to do today? What is my problemo???? lol

Well ya know I just got my total body plan from Debbie so I will be starting that today. Just figured ya'll would know anyhow. Be nice to "jello out" my entire body cuz doms will be setting in today for legs. Looking forward to jello mode.

Charlotte- I am going to do the one body part a day rotation of Deb's. I don't have most of the DVD's she uses, but I found Cathe's May rotation that lists all the free weight WO's for one body part a day. I will go by that, but Deb's format.
I have never done a rotation like this, so I am hoping for a good response from my muscles. As of now, I would like to try her total body rotation after.
I love the jello effect too!

I have to clarify something-

That was 5 sets of the push ups!
Everything else is 2-3 sets.

Ok today I have planned shoulder, calf, shin, an ab work. I really need to work on my shins because just before practice got over for 2 weeks, 3 older girls got shin slpints from tumbling :eek: So I'm ganna do what Cathe did with the ball sitting on the step (I think it was Push/Pull, but not sure) and you do like an oposite toe raise so you work your shins. Need to do tat;-). I'm planning on doing MM shoulders (2 times through) GS shoudlers, KPC abs, extra sit-ups, and IMAX 2 for cardio today.
Has anyone checked out Muscle Milk yet?

Great workouts everyone! I forgot to post mine this morning - DUH!!!

This morning starts my 5th week of Full Body Training. Todays workout called for 2 sets of 18 reps, 1 min. 30 second rest period with each exercise. I'm thinking, "Ok, how easy is this?" WRONG! Went as heavy as I could and really felt it with each exercise. This is what I did:

Push ups - 2 sets/18 reps
Barbell Chest Press - 65# (really felt this one)
Dumbbell Hammer Curls - 15's each hand
Squats - 70#
Overhead Tricep Extensions - 1st set w/25#, 2nd set 2/30#
Upright Rows - 40# (thought I had 30# on the bar, recounted when I was done, ended up being 40#. I love this exercise, I love the burning feeling you get with it)
Calf Raises - Did the calf portion of Cathe's Gym Style

Then I did 20 minutes fast walk on my treadmill. I walked 1.14 miles. For the whole workout I was in my zone for 28 minutes and burned 260 calories.

Wow Debbie that sounds like a great workout!!! You come up with like the best rotations and workouts for yourself!!!

LOL!! Well, yeah, I did 60 push ups, but on my knees!!! That is why I hate them so much! I can only do 10 good ones on my toes!

I did do the above chest WO, 3 sets of each, 60 PU. I also did RS off of Fit TV.

Hi Everyone,

Adri, I think RS means Rythmic Step, but I could be wrong. Great cardio workout. I usually do a segment or two of this workout before weight work just to get warmed up. Step Works is more difficult IMHO, but Rythimic Step is just as fun.

You all blow me away with your weights! I don't even own enough poundage to get up to where you ladies are. 70#s - I'm very intimidated. Gives me something to strive for, though.

Stupid question --- I've been trying to figure it out for some time now and I'm sure I've experienced them --- what are DOMs?

So, I'm an evening girl and tonight is a lifting day. Since I did L&G this weekend, I'm thinking either a full body workout or just upper. I've never done the one part a day kinda thing. Sounds interesting though. As I mentioned before, I might go for the P90x purchase, and I think it's a little more along those lines (at least more than I am now). Although, I'm a little weary about the purchase now that Lora mentioned she's getting sick of it. I'll read some more reviews then make up my mind.

Anne - sorry to hear all your Ebay problems. I'm thinking of putting some stuff on. My DH's sold two vehicles on Ebay. Godsend for that, but it still had its problems (fraudulent bidders and such).

Charlotte - you'll have to emblish on the "jello out" experience you have. Love the burn!

Everyone here is an animal no matter where you are in your *program*.
DOMS is Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness....it is the jello effect! Love it!

BTW, I am a late afternoon/evening lifter too. There is no way I can lift heavy in the morning. Doesn't work for me. I want the P90X system too, but I just placed an order with Benefits Cosmetics. Oh, dear!

Oh DAH. I new that (RS=Rythmic Step) It ws just when Maeghan said she did it off Fit TV I wasn't thinking about Cathe workouts. But I've seen RS many times on it. I think I should get it. I only have IMAX 2 for a cmplete step workout from Cathe even though I am a complete "Step a holic" even though I'm a builder. I do more step classes @ the gym but I love IMAX 2.

Charlotte - internet shopping... addictive isn't it? :) Thanks for the DOMs explanation. Yea, I think I've felt those a lot.

Adri - I'd go for IMAX along with Rythmic Step. Extremely basic moves, but a definite fat blaster! Lots of plyometrics/power lunges. Just thinking about it makes me sore. That's definitely one for an all cardio day.
 
WTH? I took some vitamins again today and ate the usual, but I swear there must be some testosterony in those vitamins. This is what I did today:

Barbell Bench Press #70 2 sets of 5 and then dropped to 3
Incline Row #30 db's 3 sets of 5
Squats #160 3 sets of 5
Hamstring Curls #55 3 sets of 5
Hammer Curls #30 db's 3 sets of 5 (need to get 35# ASAP)
Tricep-Lying BB Ext #55 3 sets of 5

Off to drink protein shake.
