Morning Maniacs -

I had to get up early today. My first day shift in 10 days. I did NOT want to get up. It's still freezing here.

This morning I did Jeanette Jenkins Bikini Body Bootcamp -Chisel Camp followed by Bob Greene's Body Makeover segment. Workout was 65" and I burned 410 calories.

Have great workouts everyone. I need to snap out of my depression and start getting out of bed sooner!

GM Ladies-

Yesterday was cardio and I did the chose the express core premix from Shock Cardio: Cardio Core Circuit. This workout was a "workout". It's 5 rounds of 3 cardio exercises followed by a cardio based core exercise. It took 34 min. Good for a quick day. Today is weights and steady state. BBL

Today's workout was last Monday's workout only in superset format. I had to increase my weights and I did where I thought I could.

Each superset is 3 sets/5 reps with a 1 minute rest between each superset. Glad I have two barbells!

SS #1
Flat Bench Press - 100#
ss w/
Barbell Rows - 87# (up 2#)
***Rows were tough this morning. Really felt that weight. Bench press got easier with each set.

SS #2
Squats - 95#
ss w/
Stiff Leg Deads - 92# (up 2#)
***Left squats at 95# because of my low body tightness.

SS #3
Barbell Curls - 62# (up 2#)
ss w/
Close Grip Bench Press - 87# (up 2#)
***Good superset, really felt both exercises.

Stretched for about 15 minutes afterwards. Was going to do abs but thought stretching would be better.

Today was interval weight training. Just had some lunch and going to clean up my hardwood floors, the snow is heck on them with my kids, dog and yes my husband:) !!

I got my workout in. I may be running out the door in awhile to pick up my granddaughters. It will be a last minute thing. I had to get online and order my vitamins and some more Dymatize Elite Protein powder. I am almost out of both. I had my protein mix shake with P90X recovery this morning. Lunch was Low Carb Pumpkin Fritatta from Olesya's website. It was yummy. I did sub some deli turkey for the bacon in it though.
Workout this morning I started with Rachel Cosgroves w/up from her Female Body Breakthrough book, then some foam roller to break up adhesions in my legs and hips 18 min 90 calories, Shock Cardio Circuit Blast44 minutes 382 calories Max HR 164, MMA Boxing skipping the lower body segments 20 min 161 calories Max HR 145, then I did MMA abs/core 8 min and abs circuits stability ball using a med ball for some of it 20 min 152 calories, Finished with Kelly Coffey's 30 min fitness bootcamp bonus stretch 18 min and 8 min of foam rolling 80 calories. Total calories today was 865 time was 2 hrs and 16 minutes. I spent a lot of time on stretching but feel good:D

Debbie, I am sure you needed the stretching more:D Nice workout. I am really trying to not let my legs and hips get tight and this seems to be making a huge difference. There were some areas of my hamstrings toward the inner thigh and under my glutes that hurt so much when foam rolling it almost bought tears. But sure felt good when I was done. Sat in the whirlpool afterwards.

Theresa, that sounds like a good premix. I will have to try that one. I liked the way Cathe put cardio only from Circuit Blast and the Heavy Bag in her new rotation. I may have to try that combo soon too:D

Lora, maybe when the cold lets up you will feel better about things. I think I feel like hibernation mode or something LOL

Lora - It's still freezing everywhere. It's winter! :p But I know how you feel, I hate getting up when its so cold out. Hope your work day went well.

Theresa - Nice workout, sounds interesting. Do you feel that you work your abs fairly well with this workout?

Roselyn - I know what you mean about the snow and floors. It's never ending in this weather. Nice workout. Which workout did you do? Are you following a rotation?

Diane Sue - I really need to get a foam roller. Did you order yours online or did you get it from a sporting goods store? Nice workout today!

Debbie-I'm not sore in the core but yes, I do think it got worked. I would compare the core moves to those done in core synergistics. It was very functional core work w/ a lot of rolling around :D

I'm ordering a foam roller this Friday, after reading the RAchel Cosgrove book, I think it is exactly what I need. They have SEVERAL to choose from on amazon and they seem to be around $20-$30 (some included shipping and some did not).

Debbie, dh ordered my foam roller off of E Bay. He saw me trying to use the little Go Fit one I found at Target LOL I couldn't do everything on it.

Lora, I would do it on a non weight day. Cathe uses Max of 1 15# dumbbell in it. Most is around 10# or body weight. There is a cardio only premix on it too. In fact I plan on doing weights tomorrow.
