Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did SWAT Weight Loss & Strength and listened to my own music. I added on speed skaters with my Gliding discs at the end and a few sets of Firewalkers, 3 sets of Jacknives with a 10# DB, Pikes with the Gliding discs and I tried to do a set of Barbell rollouts.....not sure if I did them correctly. Totally forgot about the warm up and cool down (since it's not on the DVD) so workout was about 77 minutes and I burned 370 calories. Wanted to add on some additional cardio...but I have a doctor appt. later and I was going to try and see if I could get in earlier since I'm still not working. I also did Ana Forest's Strength & Spirit yoga.

Meg - Lurid is one of my GC favorites also. What else are you liking? I'm glad you're enjoying them and that you had a good weekend. Your hair is so long in that picture!! I thought it was shorter. You're also very pretty. Have you tried the Lotte Berk leg stuff yet? I'm debating on whether I should try a couple weeks of Lotte Berk/Bar Method and IBallets for my legs since I don't seem to be getting any smaller down there from all of this weighted leg work I"ve been doing. I'm frustrated. I wanted you to try it and let me know what you think? Although, I don't think Lotte Berk legs is as hard as Iballet.

Jen - Wild Hogs was a comedy with John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and I can't remember the other guy's name. They are 4 middle aged dudes that get fed up with their mundane life and decide to take a trip across country on their Harley's and have run-in with a real motorcycle gang. It was funny. Glad to see you tried your hip hop abs. Don't worry about what you look like! Have fun and work it girl!! Tilt, tuck, tighten and get down with Shaun!! Let your inner child come out and maybe you'll even get funky!

Diane Sue - sorry to hear you are still feeling sick.

Dallys- so -- do you think that book would be a good read for me? Do you think there's anyway to do the routine with DVDs? I'm still looking at the Look Great in 8 Rotation.....but I'm having difficulty figuring which DVDs to use since the body parts are all grouped differently. Need to do more research.

WOW, Meg..you are prettier ever time I see a new picture of you. I am not just saying that either. Your hair is getting longer too. Glad you had fun.

Today I am gonna do 500 walking lunges with 30#'s and do some squats, leg ext, deadlifts, etc. and work abs this morning before I get going with legs.

I am wearing Passion today. Love it. I put up some of my tal's up on ebay. My hubby has been on Atkins for 2 weeks now and lost 10 pounds. He can't stay on it long. He has been really crabby at times...I would too if all I ate was meat 24/7. He won't be on it for very long cuz it isn't healthy. He is trying to lose another 20 pounds. Once he gets down there, he will eat the way I do. I think it is great that you were willing to try some chicken, but that is up to you. I do agree that you probably need some more protein in your diet, but you have to find what works for you, but don't be afraid to try new things. Why not?

This morning I was so tempted to sleep in. I kept thinking, we did all that walking in Amish country, I got my cardio in. And then I kept thinking, I ate so much junk in Amish country I NEED to get my cardio in. LOL! So I dragged my butt out of bed and ended up doing Cardio Coach #6. Had an excellent workout and I'm so glad I did it!

Workout was 1 hr., was in my zone for 44 minutes and burned 309 calories.

My weekend was great, we ate WAY too much but thats the fun in these weekends. Laughed until our ribs hurt and just had a great time hanging out with each other. I love my cousins, each of them are the sisters I never had. :)

You had Amish food? OMG! I know it was good. Hey, you burned alot of cals so you burned some off and you had a fun weekend! Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Good Morning!!!

I don't have much time today so this is probably the only time I will be on here!!! This morning I did CTX kickbox, but I still need to finish the abs. All of the kids woke up and my oldest ds wasn't feeling well. So we had to do the temperature, tylenol, vitamins, etc. He went to school though...no fever and he was jumping around like a monkey shortly after all of this! IMO, monkeys (especially screaming ones) can go to school!

Today I have to get everything ready, including supper, pick Tyler up, do homework (yes, I said it right, homework in Kindergarten...whole other topic that you don't want me to start on!), eat supper, and out the door for his first bb game. Although, the team has not had a practice yet....should be an interesting first game. The coach (obviously a scatterbrain) is going to practice 30 minutes before the game starts in the hallway!!!!! They do have practice tomorrow though....thank goodness!

We had a busy weekend so I missed you guys! Hope you had fun!

I need rotation advice. I'm trying to figure out how to do this Look Great in 8 Rotation with DVDs. Here's the rotation and article. I wanted to know if you ladies would think it would be okay to do it but instead of follow it by "body part specifics" as they have it listed, I follow it by using different DVDs (I figure it would still change things up). I'm thinking SWAT & Project You for Circuits (total body), P90 Half HOur for supersets (grouped in different body parts), Barry's Bootcamp & Jari Love for High Rep (Barry's is grouped in differnt body parts), and Pure Strength, Slow & Heavy or Gym Styles for Heavy?

k, here is the rotation:
week 1:circuit
day 1: 60min recreational cardio
day 2: circuit
day 3: flexibility
day 4: circuit and 25mins of interval cardio
day 5: 45mins of cardio at 65%-70%
day 6: circuit
day 7: 40mins of cardio and flexibility training

week2: HEAVY
day 1: rest
day 2: back/triceps and 25mins of cardio
day 3: quads and abs and flexibility training
day 4: chest and triceps
day 5: 30min of cardio and flexibility
day 6: hamstrings and delts and 30 interval cardio
day 7: 45mins of cardio

Week3: high reps
day 1: flexibility
day 2: back and tricepes and 40mins of cardio
day 3: quads, hamstring, and delts and 35mins of cardio
day 4: chest, biceps and abs and 30mins of interval cardio
day 5: quads,manstrings, delts and 35mins of cardio
day 6: back and triceps and flexibility
day 7: chest, tricpes and abs and 35mins of cardio

Week 4: supersets
day 1: flexibility
day 2: quads and hams
day 3: bis and tris and 35mins of cardio
day 4: 45mins of cardio
day 5: 30mins of interval cardio and flexibility
day 6: back and chest and 25mins of cardio
day 7: delts and abs and 30mins of cardio

REPEAT entired 4 weeks adding one more cardio per week.

Good Morning
HOw was everyones weekend? Mine was good went out with friends on Saturday. Thank god Sunday was my rest day:) I'm worried about my dog she is sneezing alot. I may take her to the vet.
I'm starting a new rotation this month I may stick with muscle endurance /total body. Not sure yet.

Where the hello is everyone???

FIL just told me he found another house. He has a good shot at it. Hope this is for real. Someone coming to look at our house in 30 mins. Doing walking lunges in my bedroom and feeling like a hamster does in its cage. Won't do them around the house while FIL is around, in my tight camo spandex pants. So hopefully he will get something so I can do stuff I need to do freely.
 
Toasty -I'm here. My doctor appointment isn't for a little bit. Do you like Saliva? I like that song they do "Disease" (it's older) but I never knew who it was by and I just found out it was them so I bought the CD off of Amazon. Do you have any of their CDs? That song Click Click Boom Boom is on this CD too. Everyone must be busy. So you like Passion? I do.
 
I went insane on working out this morning! Did all of the ab work on the timesaver dvd timesaver #5 which is mainly L&G and bonus leg work. Then did Bootcamp lower body and cardio premix, then Muscle endurance dead lifts and 2 leg press sections and butt raises. I'm beat.

You never heard Moon Baby? You gotta download it. Also Voodoo too. Damn, just download the entire Moon Baby cd. They are all good.

Hey Crazies! It's lunch time for me. I made myself a Taco Salad.)9
I'm listening to Breaking Benjamin "so cold" on YouTube. I like them. Godsmack might be titch heavy for me, not sure, I'll keep listening... might be great for working out though.:) My arm is killing me! Work really aggrievates it. I'm loaded up on Ibuprofen. Hoping to take the dog for a walk later. It's in the 40's today.

Godsmack has some great lyrics too in the song...like...get off my back...getting back on track. Very good for working out. When I first heard them, I thought they were too heavy for me too, not anymore. So do you like Seether?

So sorry to hear about your arm. Best what you did by taking something. My shoulder still is bothering me and I might not be able to do curls if it doesn't get better. I finished my 400 walking lunges so now off to sunroom to do some squats, etc. It is very windy here today. My windchimes just blew off.
 
Ok Char, I'll download all of Moon Baby. I'm always up for new music. Love the song "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva. Great song. Never heard of Curious, I'll need to check them out.

Love the song So Cold by Breaking Benjamin. Also "Away" is great too. Check that out.
 
Char- I'm listening to some of Seethers stuff. I like it. Geez, ever since my daughter moved out, I'm out of the loop on alot music. LOL! My son in listening to all that rap crap lately. Driving me nuts. You can hear his car a mile away with that annoying window-shaking bass beat. You know what I'm talking about? So, your shoulder still hurts too? Have you had it checked? I made an appointment for my arm. I go in next week. Hopefully they can give me a shot or something. People tell me Tennis Elbow takes like a year to heal!
