Running late yet again. Did Turbo Jam Lower Body Sculpt followed by All About Legs (Mindy) Medicine Ball segment, but I used a dumbell cuz I didn't have a heavy enough med ball. I also added some Gliding Moves on the end of the leg workout and then did Turbo Jam Abs. Burned 350 calories. Have a great day everyone.

Suz - thanks for having faith in me with the new job. I hope you're right cuz I actually like working in a company that is a Not-for-Profit company like the hospital was.

Charlotte - It probably didn't ship until Wednesday of this week, as the PO was closed on Monday and Tuesday. You'll probably get it today.

My heart rate monitor is coming. The first one I ordered came broken so I sent the package back to get one that would work. The package I thought was lost cuz a few weeks ago, it wasn't there, they told me. It is on its way today. We just ordered a few more hrm cuz we thought the first one was lost, those are now out of stock and I thought I was out a hrm AGAIN so it is coming!!!!!! I will finially know how much cals I am burning...granted this one is working this time.

Now I am trying to track down my oils...that box should have been here too. All these holidays slow everything down so much.

My FIL just blasted the radio on and dd is still sleeping. She worked the late shift last night so I asked him to turn it down. I hated to, but dd has to get her rest. She is going to be starting college now this coming Monday. Everything changed. She will be studying to be a veternarian.

Hi all,
Long time no hear, huh? Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still lurking this check in, but I really don't have time to post as I'm posting on the KK's thread and also the P90Xers thread. I just can't keep up, so I hope you guys understand. Most of the time, when I can post, it's in the evening and most everyone is east coast, gone to bed.

You guys are very motivating to me too and I will continue to lurk, maybe jumping in now and then.

Oh yeah, Suz, I did Cardio Coach #1 last night on my bike and enjoyed it. Nice little workout. I will continue with one of these a week as they really help me.

Oh yeah, I posted new pictures on my Picture Trail of my 30 day progress. Not much but it's coming along. My stats were a bit better too. Looking to see more this Phase. I like eating another carb serving a day, makes a difference for me immensely in my energy level.

Had an intense workout this morning, all upper body. Workout called for 3 sets/8 reps with 1 minute rest. This is what I did:

Close Grip Overhand Pullups: 8/6/4
Barbell Bench Press: 95#
Pullovers: 35#
Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 22's
EZ Preacher Curls: 50# for 1 set/55# for 2 sets
Barbell Close Grip Tricep Press: 80# for 2 sets/75# for 1 set
Zottman Curls: 20's

Worked back and bi's with two exercises. Will be doing this with different body parts since I'm only doing upper body twice a week now instead of three.

Then I did Pyramid Upper Body abs - I HATE this ab workout. Got to the planks on the ball, did the rollins. Rested. Did the inverted pykes but could only do 6. My shoulders were shaking way to bad, I hate that. I stopped the workout and did the stretch.

Workout was 55 minutes, was in my zone for 20 minutes and burned 223 calories. Pretty happy with that.

Enjoy hearing from you as much as possible. I checked out your new pictures and I do see more definition. I notice one thing about Ab Ripper, and that is, it seems to bring out the obliques more. I wonder when I will see more of *packs* forming? Your arms look very strong and defined. I am so excited for us all to keep seeing more changes as we go along. I mean after the back/bicep work, I have already noticed a vein popping out more and that was just the next day so we keep pushing ourselves very hard and we will keep seeing the changes. I have been cutting back on my carbs on Kenpo days and Yoga. On heavy weight days, I eat more carbs...salads, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc. Not sure if anyone else is doing it this way or not.

Girl, you got some strong triceps. You are working them with some heavy weight. I gotta catch up with you and with my own biceps. My biceps are way stronger then my triceps and I got to balance it all out. I can do kickbacks with 15's. I need to up it to 20, if my form will let me. I can't get over what you bench. DANG..DANG..DANG! Zottman's are quite challenging with the switching moves and I think work the shoulders good too.

I tell you what, next time I work the triceps...Monday, I think. I will go to hell and back for tricep work. I will push harder then before. Thanks for motivating me, Maniac!

Hey Maniacs! Didn't get my workout in yesterday. Spent HOURS on the computer trying to fix a CC download. My CC2 was missing a track. For all my trouble they sent me CC6 with Candance. I also have a charge in my bank account for a Magazine I didn't order! I've got to deal with that today. I hope someone doesn't have my card #. I then went to lunch with my mom and sister. Then to Target and found some great 2lb. weighted gloves for $8 and got another yoga block. Then we went to the movies. Saw the Holiday. It's really good. Then..bare with me here...I went to a family party. Didn't get home until 10 :30. So, my day yesterday was pretty full.

Char- Great pictures! I love the Crane (now that I can do it, LOL!) I can actually hold it the whole time now. I like to show my fam at various times of the day how coordinated I am. I'll just say "look what I can do" in my SNL Stewart voice, and go into Crane pose. LOL!

Jeanette- Hey! I'm on the west coast too, well almost. I always read the late posts, and I'm always one of the last posters. I'll miss you over here. Pop in alot if you can. I like hearing what's going on with you. Your pictures are looking really good. I can tell a difference already. You look like you've lost body fat and your shoulders, biceps and back are more defined now. Great work!

Good gosh, you did have a busy day! Unlike me who has gotten everything done and just enjoying some relaxation for the time being. Gonna get in my workout later in the day as usual. So you hold the crane the entire time....go on with your bad self! How can metal bend like that???? You might bust a chip. lol

Char- Yeah, my day was busy. I need to relax today.:) Yeah, I can do the Crane pose the whole time now. One day it just clicked. I'm like, I can't believe I'm still holding this %$#@ pose. LOL! I used the yoga block for along time. I put it in front of my head and when I started falling forward my head would land on the block and I could balance back into position. That help tremendously! I'm made of flexible metal, by the way. LOL! Like that stretch Armstrong toy. YOu can bend and pull and stretch me, but you can't break me.

Good morning, well, almost afternoon maniacs.

I am a little late this morning, I was checking out that Omron body fat analyzer online and wasted a lot of time. I just couldn't figure out how it works..well at least I know now it works with a little electrical impulse. So, I'm not sure now whether or not my weight scale would be more apt to be accurate or not. Maybe it is.

Char...love your poses...that is so cool, I'm gonna try the timer.

Debbie, you blow me away with the weight you are lifting.

Netta, we will miss hearing from you, but I pop in on the 90x'ers forum once in awhile, I will see you over there. Your pix are great, I see more ab and shoulder definition, but your abs were already defined.

Suz, ok my shoulders ache today, not sure if I overdid it with Yoga or what. I did make it through at least 1 hour and 15 of yoga, before I was bored. I still love it. but some of those moves just plain hurt!!!

Lora, I think once you get everyone's personality you will be fine, there is a learning curve, but you will soon be indespensable I'm sure. I never go anywhwere for lunch, I bring my own "rabbit food" as they call it around here.

Ok, I'm a bit depressed...I broke down and weighed myself and I a up 6 pounds! I am now officially 10 pounds over what I was a year ago. Sooo depressing, but I honestly think my waist and hips are smaller from my cloths. So I will measure myself in the morning , hopefully that will make me feel better.

And...I had just ordered 2 bikini's from Victoria's secret. We are going to mexico in Feb...time to stick to my south beach phase one and add that extra cardio in.

So ladies, ya'll tired of me. I am a yackety yack this morning. Decided to go with another realtor. The realtor we had told us we were gonna have this couple and that couple come look at our home, and no one is coming. She sucks. The couple in Florida to buy our home...never heard anything yet. This other realtor is pretty good. Everytime you turn the real estate flyer, his is ALWAYS the next page and ALL homes listed. Our home hasn't even been in some of the flyers so no wonder no one is coming.

Char...yes they are...can't straighten my arm all the way without pain....OWWW.. yes, well, we haven't decided where to go in Mexico, still waiting on DH's passport to get renewed, my only took about 2 weeks expedited. So we shall see, but I'm thinking probably costa rica, playa del carmen (suz's place) or cabo san lucas. I think cancun is too commercialized these days, I like remote areas.

Ok, back to work...

Char..darn it, I keep saying cost rica, when I mean cozumel. dahhh...

And, I forgot, get rid of the realtor..you will be much happier seeing some results. Keep in mind char..the time is really bad to sell, we are scared to sell ours (well, DH's) right now. I was extremely lucky to sell mine in October, I still count my blessings with that and I got what I wanted.

We have had our realtor since July. Anyhoo, we went down to Riveria Maya about 2 years ago. Stayed at the Copacabana and had a great time.

FIL is making friends with the men folk. The man across from us is about his same age and they share same interest. Couldn't get in Rush today cuz our signal is not good out here so I am listening to country instead..better then Rush, I guess:-( We sat down together and had a nice chicken sandwich (fresh chicken meat that I grilled) and we had some spinach and grapes. I can't believe how well he eats. He loves veggies. Nice to eat with someone that likes to eat healthy.

Getting ready to bring it soon. Gonna add some bonus work in there too. Didn't sleep much last night so I will get thru it though.

Good afternoon,
I got my workout in with no interruptions:D I started with Body Max2 Cardio blast premix no str, then ran 2 miles on the treadmill. Then I did P90X chest, shoulders, and biceps and after each group of exercises cst I would do one back one from legs and back. I did pulldowns with the Bowflex for all today and kept it at 160# resistance. I also did the first 20 minutes of X stretch to stretch out the arms and shoulders a little more. I found I have improved on some of the moves. The clap plyo push ups went better. I think because I have been doing some plyo push ups on knees off of bench with Amy Bento. The one arms were better too. There are several moves I have been doing on Amy's All Pump Xtreme that have helped. When I did back the other day I used the end of my lat tower with feet extended to do pull ups. Kind of like some they did on All Pump X and in Oxygen magazine with the bar across two chairs. Actually Amy had someone demo it that way but she used a body bar with bench and 2 sets of 12 risers.

Netta, your pics are looking good. You can see some definition coming out. I bet you are pleased.

Charlotte, good Yoga pics. I can do the crane through the entire segment sometimes and others I am touch the toe to the floor or not:)

Amber scales are do not always tell the truth. I have a digital caliper which I think is probably the closest to correct. At least if you stick with one method you know if you are gaining or losing fat right? I used it when doing P90X the first time. I haven't pulled it out since. I tried a bodyfat scale and it would change everytime I stood on it even if I just got off and back on. I sent it back.


I will check in later. I have to go pick up the grandchildren:)

I feel a little better, I have to chuckle because it certainly doesn't look like there is anything for you to put in the calipers! I'm trying not to take the number to heart. My body doesn't reflect the same weight as an out of shape person at this weight that is for sure. And I have to agree about the bodyfat stand on scale, it certainly seems to be all out of whack.

Char, we were close to riveria maya last year, not the same resort though, I can never remember but the city was puerto adventuras. Very cool.
