Morning Maniacs-

Happy Friday the 13th. May you not step in the path of a black cat today or break a mirror :).

I'm off to a late start..........was busy deciding if I should pick up a bottle of 13 over at BPAL!! Decisions, decisions.

Off to do Barry's Chest & Abs......hopefully some Bar Method blasts add on and a nice long Kundalini......although time is getting ahead of me........must get going.

later...........

Good Morning, today is M&F rotation shoulders and abs, then I will do the upper premix of Sweatfest sculpt(I have to make sure I check out the whole thing before I go on with what I am doing:) ), cardio will be either treadmill or kickboxing or maybe both. I am still waiting for those tests to come in on Puddle. She is feeling better and it is hard to keep her resting but she still wants to run around on 3 legs, the swelling is going down in the front leg. From what the vet said if it is septic arthritis it can take several weeks:(

Good morning. I am not sure what WO I will be doing today. I should do some cardio, and more yoga. My butt is feeling much better, so maybe a little LB today?? I will let ya'll know of course. I tell ya, I must have been a little dehydrated cuz two days of cardio blew me up like a balloon! My body held onto all the water. I was disgustingly bloated last night. So I am pounding the water. Well, after my tea of course.

DS_ still praying for Puddle. Glad to hear she is feeling better though.

Lora- just get it!! You know you want to!!!!

Hi Maniacs-

I ended up doing Barry's Bootcamp Chest & Abs. Subbed a few sets of presses/flies for 2 sets of pushups since they're are a ton. I also did the Non-treadmill cardio, but modified parts of it on the rebounder due to a flare up of sciatica. (weird cuz I even slept with the pillow between my legs last night). I added on 10 minutes or so of Gliding. Started by putting in a Mindy gliding cardio, but ended up doing my own thing since I was listening to my own music (BC - Time Bomb for Barry's & Nickelback - Long Road for cardio). I still am waiting for a really fast, hardcore Gliding workout. I only added on one Lotte Berk Essentials 10 minute blast and then did Ravi & Ana's Ultimate Stretch Kundalini yoga. Brooklyn decided she wanted attention during yoga and was in my lap half of the time and the other parts, she was batting at the tie hanging from my hoodie. Workout (without yoga or Lotte) was 1 hour 20 minutes and I burned 423 calories.

Diane Sue - How old is Puddle? I know you just got her (??) but I wasn't sure. I sure hope everything turns out okay. I can't wait to get my new Tracey's. I'll have to deviate from my rotation to check them out also. I just heard from them today. They said they are going to send them out today since I never got mine.

Have great workouts. I'll be around for a while. Don't forget to check out the BPAL LE 13 scent and other Limiteds for today.

Morning Maniacs! Today will be the last workout in NROL Fatloss-1. Need to decide what to do next. Not sure if I'll do Fatloss 2 or 3. Might do something else for now and do one of those next. I'll decide over the weekend.

Lora- I'll try to stay away from all the black cats today.:)

Meg- I'm all puffy and bloated too, but I think mine is from salty food. Been craving salty foods lately.

Diane Sue- All this waiting on test results must be hard. Have a fun workout today. Do you think you'll get a bosu? They look kind of cool.

Gotta run...tea is whisteling.

"The most effective workout isn't necessarily the longest or the hardest; it's simply the smartest."

Morning everyone!

This morning I did the Press Play workout from Cardio Coach. I love this workout, especially the first challenge.

Workout was 1:15, was in my zone for 58 minutes and burned 440 calories. Woo hoo! Travelled 4 miles.

Lora - Great workout today. Yes, I do kickboxing and LOVE Cathe's kickboxing workouts. The only one I can't do is Kick Max because it really bothers my low back. Too many side and back kicks. I always use my weighted gloves whenever I do Cardio Kicks or KP&C. I haven't seen yesterday's GH yet, I taped it but it didn't tape for some stupid reason so I taped it from Soapnet last night. I'll watch it later tonight. And you are also right about all the amazing ladies that are on this checkin. I am motivated by each and every one of you and you all inspire me! So thanks! :)

Diane Sue - I'm glad to hear Puddles is doing better. Poor thing.

I can't get the image of Char sitting in a library out of my head! LMAO!!!

Hope you all have a great workout!

Deb - great workout! Way to go on the calorie burn. Yes, that's quite an image of Toasty!! LOL. Let me know what you think of GH when you see it.

Okay ladies - not that anyone here really cares, but I'm posting anyway, cuz NOW I KNOW I'm right about my suspicions of that lawyer office hiring again. I just got off Monster.com and they have a local Temp Agency running this ad (went up same day as the ad did in our local newspaper website).

You must have experience in Word Perfect and legal knowledge is a must. The ideal candidate must have: experience in domestic or bankruptcy law, corporate/real estate, type over 50 wpm, word perfect, and dictation from tapes. This is a possible temporary-to-full-time for the right person. Call OfficeTeam today, 330-629-8999.

Qualifications :
This person needs to have 1+ years of Legal experience/terminology, Basic WordPerfect, Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft word."

I am positive this is the same job because of the type of practice and the job requirements. They had already been thru 2 secretaries before I started and now they've been thru 2 more .............makes me wonder how many they actually do go thru in that job and who was the real problem in this fiasco!! I guess that's why Unemployment found me to be "fired without just cause"!!! This does help my self esteem some since getting fired is actually quite an self esteem killer.

Done venting now. Gosh..........I should send my freakin' resume. I'm so tempted!! or better yet, I should send a DREAM fake one so they can get all excited for nothing!

I finished my workout. I started with Tracey's KickBox challenge w/up and cardio, then I ran 3.25 miles on the treadmill, I did the M&F rotation shoulders and abs, then put in Tracey's sweatfest sculpt and did the belly burner premix, and then went on to the burn it up upper premix which is 24 min and then a 7 min stretch. You work your core in a lot of the upper body work. I liked this.
M&F shoulders
dumbell lateral raise 15# 10 reps 3 sets
Bowflex cable front raise 40# in ea. hand 10 reps 3 sets
barbell wide grip upright row 40# 8 reps 3 sets
dumbbell shoulder press 25# 8reps 1 set, 20# 8 reps 2 sets
traps: dumbbell shrug 15# 10 reps 2 sets
barbell shrug 35# 8 reps 2 sets
Abs: incline leg raise 2 # ankle weight 15 reps 3 sets
Bowflex crunch kneeling 160# 15 reps 3 sets

Lora, Puddle is almost 7 months old. It is so sad watching her hobble around on 3 legs. I sure hope we get through this.

Dallys, I would kind of like to have a bosu but, I am not sure how much use I would get out of it. It seems that there could be some creative things to do with it. They are not cheap and it is something to add to my space:)

Diane Sue - not to enable or anything :) but my Bosu stores wonderfully in the basement on top of a box of stuff. It has the flat, hard surface that makes it easy to store and carry. It's also killer for ab work. Nothing like doing ab work on a stability ball ......much harder. It's also great for working your legs and balance in a different way and cardio is just outright fun on it due to the bouncy nature of it. I think Bosu recently put a cheaper "sport" version out but I think it is a bit lower than the standard Bosu, which would make aerobics on it a bit easier due to the heigth. I can understand how it's hard to justify it's purchase..........as I don't use mine that often, but I'm glad I have it. I've heard of a lot of people also using it for other aerobics, i.e., modifying higher impact Barry like cardio on it to take some of the impact out. I usually use my Rebounder for this, but the Bosu would put a different spin on it. I think you'd be very happy with ab work on it.

Toasty- when you gonna visit the library again so you can visit? The place isn't the same without you!!

TGIF Ladies!!

I did a BBC (Rich) treadmill run and just added to the end to make it a 4.5 mile run. At lunch I worked Shoulders/traps.

Love my BOSU!! Don't use it as much as I could, but certainly glad I have it...don't regret the investment!

Hi Debbie - Wanted to tell you that you definitely have a Fitness competitors body and should seriously consider doing at least one competetion...you only live once!!

Hi Meg, Lora, Toasty, Dallys, Suz, Jen, Anne and Diane Sue. If I forgot someone charge it to the head and not the heart!

Take care!

Thanks Marietta, I just cannot see myself on stage in one of those things they call bikini's. I don't even wear a bikini at home. Its just not something I'd want to do. I love going to the competitions, though. Wish I could have gone to the Arnold Classic this past March.

Diane Sue - which one is JillyBean in the Sculpt DVD? I was trying to guess by watching her intensity, etc. and I want to know if I'm right. I finally got my DVDs today! I previewed them but my sciatica is flaring too much to do a 2nd session today. I'll try to do a portion in the AM. I have an early dental appt, but I'm determined to get up extra early so I can squeeze a little in. I can't decide which cardio to try first. They all look fun.
