Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 12/3

Today I did Cardio Coach #1. Had an ok workout. I should have done a longer workout but I was really tired when I got up.

So it seems I'm allergic to Neem. I've been breaking out in hives for about a week now, maybe longer. The itching is unbearable. I couldn't figure out what was causing it because I didn't think homeopathic supplements could cause allergic reactions. I changed my laundry detergent, stopped eating certain foods and the itching continued. I'm scratching myself until I bleed, it's really nasty. Lotion helps, and hydrocortizone cream helps, but the itching continues all day.

Last night I didn't take the Neem and I'm already a bit better this morning. I contacted the doctor I went to see and she told me she'll meet with me in a couple days after the rash goes away to see what else I can take. I'm bummed. I have been feeling so much better - no more headaches, my energy is back. Hopefully she can put me on something else that will work just as well minus the itching.
 
This morning I did Les Mills Pump Extreme, 60 min, 310 calories. I then did Kelly Coffey, 30 Minutes to Fitness Cardio Blast Athletic Step, 35 min, 276 calories. Total time was 95 min and calories burned was 586.

Debbie, that is too bad that you had a reaction to it. I think that you have to be careful with herbal preparations the same as you do other meds. At least you have the doctor to help you out with it. I was allergic to msm. Took awhile to figure it out. It was after I quit that the illness went away.
 
Today was yoga and I did Yoga for Energy by Tamal Dodge again. I like that one. It's short and sweet and TOUGH!

I'm toying with the idea of maybe doing a free style weight workout tomorrow using light weights. Not sure yet.

Neem is a supplement made from tree bark. It fights mold in the body. Didn't I tell you guys I went to see a Natural Health Specialist? If not, I went the day after Thanksgiving and she said I had mold growing inside me. Gross! She gave me Neem and I've been taking it ever since. Well, not now. I'm hoping this itching will go away and she can find something else that will help with the mold. It was working great, I was not having headaches anymore and I have my energy back. I just bummed I seem to be allergic to it.
 
No workout today, my cough is back and I coughed so hard last night I think I pulled an obligue muscle, ouch! So rest for me today.

Debbie I do remember you went to a health specialist, I guess I did not remember the mold thing, you poor thing.

I just finished Les Mills Pump Combat 45 min, 333 calories. I had to fight with my HR monitor in the middle which really is frustrating. Generally I get a little better Calorie burn. But I noticed it was staying at the same HR no matter what I did so stopped and adjusted it. Then it still didn't seem right. Anyway, I followed this with Rapid Fire 3 heavybag workout and abs for 24 min, 140 calories( I took the strap off and started over with the HR monitor. Seemed better after that. I wanted to really work abs today so I did P90X2 Ab Ripper 16 min, 92 calories, and Rev Abs Merciless abs 15 min 73 calories I always do the spice round all of the rounds and used 8# dumbbells. Total time today was 1 hr 40 min, and calories burned was 638.
I made some yummy buckwheat corn pancakes with a blueberry sauce for breakfast this morning from Karma Chow. I sure have been blowing it on the eating lately. I start out okay and then mess up.

Debbie, I remember you going to the specialist. I hope something else can workout for you.

Roselyn, that is so miserable when you cough that hard. I have done that and hand my whole rib cage area get sore. Guess I was tightening up lots of muscles of something.

Ok, so today I winged it and did a weight workout. Funny how I didn't get all excited about the workout. I think my subconscience is waiting for me to be in pain again, so the thought of possibly causing that pain makes me not want to lift. I had an ok workout. I only worked legs, chest, bi's and tri's. I also did some ab work.

The itching seems to be better today. I hope today I don't have many itching attacks. Yesterday I had them all day long. Today is day three of me not taking the Neem anymore so it should be almost totally out of my system.

This morning, I woke up late; much to late to do the original workout that was on my rotation:eek: Any who, I ended up doing d-15 back and biceps which was scheduled for tomorrow; really didn't matter bc I love…love…lovvvvvvvve working B&Bi’s.:cool::cool:

Thanksgiving my son finally got me a puppy,:rolleyes: believe it or not been wanting a puppy for 3 decades lol. I’m SO in love with him. His name is 'Tank' he is 6 weeks old and weigh in at 2.5 lbs I know....so tiny. He's a Yorkie Terrier his dad is full Yorkie and mom is mixed she Yorkie and Chihuahua not sure what kind of Chihuahua doesn't matter. I tell you, I never thought I could love a pup like this And he’s definitely been keeping me busy, in the mornings. I'll be back later guys.

Finished with my workout. I started with Beast Lucky 7 and Beast Abs 34 min, 251 calories. I then did Brazil Butt Lift Masters Higher and Tighter 31 min, 200 calories(I used my weighted stability ball on this today since it gets the HR up a little more) I finished with Chalean Extreme Fat Burn Challenge 32 min, 290 calories, 137 avg hr/162 max hr. My legs and glutes were on fire during that band work. Ouch. Total time was 97 min and calories burned 741.

Debbie, I wonder if it could have been just something different in the Neem you were taking. I was reading up on allergic reactions to msm the other day and someone said they talked to their pharmacist and they said it could have been something in the fillers in the capsules. I thought about this because I had taken it for quite some time and then had a reaction.

Teddy, nice work today. Those doggies can really get to you:) Tank is a cute name.
 
Diana: Nice workout yourself:) My puppy is spoiled already:p I can't help it. I just down loaded some free stuff on how to potty train a Chorkie a Chorkie is a cross between a Yorkshire (Yorkie) Terrier and Chihuahua. I have to get up 15 minutes early, duh:cool:
 
Today I did Jillian Michaels Yoga Melt workout 1. Awesome workout. I'm sore from yesterday's workout so this was a little tough, but I did better with it this time then I did the first time I did it. Love it! I can't wait to do workout 2. I'm going to see if she has any other yoga workouts out there. I love how she adds reps with the yoga moves, it really burns. I felt it everywhere.

Diane Sue - I don't think that's it. I take numerous supplements. I'm not itching much today so I think it was the Neem. I just hope my doctor can find something else for me to take. I'm hoping to see her again soon.

This morning workout, I reached way back and did my favorite cardio workout……wait for it! :D I did Cardio Kicks (something about this workout I love) and I did KM (leg drills)

Crossfire Extreme today. Keeping my fingers crossed that my cold is finally gone, had to rest a couple of days, my cough was awful, I coughed so hard I pulled a back muscle but feeling better, now my son woke up with the sore throat, UGHHHH
 
I did Les Mills Pump Step 31 min, 264 calories, then I did Les Mills Sports attack 30 min, 270 calories. I finished with Turbo Fire Core 20, 20 min, 119 calories. Total time was 81 min and calories burned was 653. I have been trying to get my eating straight. I want to keep it pretty clean through the holidays. This morning I had uncooked oats with dried cranberries, whey, cinnamon and some coconut milk. I love this. Lunch was a recipe from my newest cookbook called Karma Chow. It is a vegan cookbook. I have made several recipes and they were all yummy. Today I had the Raw Kale salad with Creamy Chipotle dressing. Not sure how tonight will go though since we have Christmas tree lighting and parade with other festivities later and I am helping with some things.

Debbie, I hope you find what you need. I don't know if Jillian has another yoga workout. I have a cardio yoga by Brook Benton but it is sold in a set with 3 workouts. The other two incorporate kettlebells. Budokon is kind of cardio and yoga. He does yoga and it is blended with a martial arts flare so you might be doing a roll down on the floor and coming up to a warrior 3 pose and they end with a short kicking and punching segment. I have 3 of his. The third one has quite a learning curve so I mainly stick with the strength one and the flexibility and balance one.
I hear Piyo is pretty active and a blend of yoga and pilates.

Roselyn, I am trying to fight off a cold. It has not been pleasant. So far I have just coughed hard enough that some things burn my throat as they go down.

So the itching continues. I'm at my ropes end here. My skin is all bumpy and red. It's a tad better but not totally gone. So now I'm thinking the Neem didn't cause it. But what else could it have been? I haven't changed anything else in my diet, lotions, or supplements that I've been taking. I don't get it. I know I'm totally sick of it, though. I can't stand scratching myself all day.

I emailed Dr. Rachel and I hope she can see me tomorrow. My mom and I are suppose to go shopping but if she has an early morning opening, I'm hoping she can get me in. I can't take much more of this. :(

Ok I am better but now my 17 year old son is running fever, that time of year.

Today I drug out an oldie, Bootcamp had a good workout, something different and I can go so much heavier than last time i did this which was probably at least a couple of years.

Happy workouts, Teddy, puppies are so much fun!!

Started my workout late, thanks to my puppy :confused: not sure what he got into while I was asleep. This morning, he had diarrhea so had to wash bathroom rugs, bathe Tank, damp mop floors in my bedroom argh…….Still in love with him :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Any who, workout this morning….’Tank’ Seriously, I did a 15 minutes run on my treadmill (original plan was 30) and 4DS all upper.
