Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Week of 10/22

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #6 with Sean. Had an excellent workout and I really needed it. I gave this workout my all, was a puke status workout.

Today was Beast Block 3 week 4 chest. This was 30 minutes and calories burned was 160. I followed this with Rev Abs Full Throttle abs and was able to increase the calorie burn on this quite a bit by continuing cardio during Brett's Anthem and Breaks. I also continued longer on the Ginga. 44, min 329 calories, HR was avg 129 and max 187:0 I guess maybe that was just a brief fluke because it is just run turns with high knees and gonga. I finished with P90X2 Ab Ripper16 min, 83 calories. Total time was 90 min and calories burned 83.

Today was yoga and I did another of the new workouts I just bought. It's one called Core Yoga by Shiva Rea. I really like her, she's a great instructor. This particular workout has many segments and you can mix them up. I did Agni Namaskar and Creative Roots. Both were good. I ended up doing 108 pushups with the first workout. It was broken up into 9 segments of 12 pushups. Loved it! I feel really good, I missed my yoga and I really needed it. My body is all tight again. I'm looking forward to doing the other segments of this workout.

This morning I did High Reps again. went a little heavier and felt it a little more. Love this workout. I even did the abs this time! :)
 
My workout today was Beast Bulk Shoulders final one. 35 min, 193 calories. I then did Les Mills Pump Combat 45 min, 351 caloreis, max hr 154. I can never tell if those gloves they wear are MMA type gloves or weighted gloves. No one will ever say. I asked at BB and the coaches don't know. I then did Rev Abs Merciless Abs 15min, 75 calories. I finished with Shiva Rea Power Energy Flow back bend segment 14 min, 52 calories. Total time was 1 hr 49 min and calories burned was 671.

Debbie, I think I have those two segments on some of my Shiva Rea workouts. The one I did today is a blend from her Power Yoga Flow which is segments that are favorites of hers from different workouts. I use it a lot. I also have more Daily Energy that I picked up at Target and has the longer workouts or you can pick from 6 that are around 20 minutes. I like it a lot. My first one is Yoga Shatki which has the Matrix that you can pick from or the longer workouts. It makes it nice because you can pick and choose and make it as long as you want.
 
Hi everyone!

Today I did a new yoga workout I bought called Yoga for Energy & Relaxation. I did the Relaxation workout because I am so sore from yesterday's workout. I also am having trouble at work when I sit in front of my computer all day. I need a new chair and my boss is ordering me one. The right side of my neck and the top of my shoulders is hurting this morning from using my mouse so much. The yoga helped but it's still tight. What is up with my body? I just don't get it. But I loved this workout and I can't wait to do the energy one. The workout was 40 minutes. It was so soothing and he did some stretches I've never done before. Alot of upper body stretches which is what I need. It felt great! I recommend this DVD to anyone who loves yoga. The instructor's name is Tamal Dodge.

Diane Sue - Thanks for the info. I really liked her workout. I may get a few more.
 
This morning I did Beast Bulk Back 30 min, 152 calories. I then did Amy Bento's Step Challenge 4 premix power mix. This does the power segment 3 times so I get a good quick workout. 47 min, 385 calories, max hr 163. I finished with Shiva's Yoga Shatki shoulder openers and lunge, 11 min, 33 calories. Total time was 88 min and calories burned 570. Tomorrow is arms and Sat is Beast Cardio and I am done with the rotation. I do want to try Beast Lucky 7 which is a weight Circuit.

So once again, one more week without straight workouts. As the day progressed yesterday, the pain in my right shoulder and neck worsened. Bad. I can hardly turn my head from side to side and I have a huge knot in my shoulder blades. I don't think it's a coincidence that I lifted weights on Wednesday and then this happened again. Does this mean I can't lift weights anymore? So frustrating. I was going to get up and just walk on my treadmill but then I thought the swinging of my arms might irritate my shoulder and neck more.

So I guess I'm back to square one. Weird thing is, this time it's in my right shoulder. It usually hurts on my left side. Same pain, though.
 
I finished all of the Beast workouts for this week. This morning I did Beast Bulk Arms block 3 week 4, 36 min, 222 calories, followed by Beast Abs 11 min, 60 calories, then Beast cardio 30 min 251 calories. I did Les Mills Flow 20 min, 77 calories to finish it off. Total time was 97 minutes. calories burned 610. Not too bad. I increased weights on triceps extensions from 30# to 32.5#, concentrated hammer curl from 22.5 to 25#, tricep kickbacks from 20-22.5 and used 15# for the weighted crunch. I added an extra set of weighted crunches. All in all I had a great workout:D

Debbie, mine is usually on my right side but sometimes it ends up on the left instead. I have to be careful of lifting too heavy and too high on upright rows, and bringing my arms too far back using heavy weight on pullover moves. This last bout of head and neck pain for me was using 15's in a pullover crunch move with Les Mills. It took 3 days of Advil and ice to get it back to feeling better. I still feel a little spasm there.
 
This morning I did Rev Abs Fat Burning abs 265 calories 39 min and Power Intervals 2 32 min 262 calories, followed by Yoga Max Express #1 for 32 min..145 calories. I burned 672 calories:D Total time was 1 hr 43 min. I am thinking I may try Beast Lucky 7 on Monday.
