Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Wed Nov 15

Jillybean,

I don't know how much the GNC gold cards are as dh bought it. Sorry, I can't help you with that. Hit the sales though!!

Well I just got a call from the realtor. There is now a contract on the couples home that want to buy ours. I am now waiting to hear about an offer on ours.

Lora,

Maybe you can leave. Wouldn't your boss let you if you are in pain? The witch.

Charlotte~~

Cardio Fusion was great this morning. I burned 4,362 calories! That's an estimate since my HR monitor doesn't tell me. Or if it does, I don't know how to read it. My average HR was 167 and high was 184. I have a hard time with the Body Max part of the workout - I get so confused. But I'll get it. Love the workout.

Storm - thanks for the info. So I might lose weight with this drug? I forgot about that. I did read that. I don't think she plans on getting my dose as high as some of those people so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works without the side effects. She said it's been very successful. How'd you get your migraines to stop????

Char - you're sweet to take care of that kitty. :) GOOD LUCK ON THE HOUSE!

Jillybean - join us! Loving the word eschewed today. I think I'll have to use it off and on. I never use that one. Your previous diet sounds EXACTLY like a gal I work with (as I sit here smelling the Pop Tarts she has in the toaster!).

Dallys - watch those male dogs! I hope that P90X helps me to like kickboxing more. I don't like it. It seems to hurt my body. I don't think I move right. ;)

Lora - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Hang in there!

Lora- sorry 'bout the pain. Hope it gets better. I think you seriously should leave= if you can't sit! Good luck. Maybe you could take advantage of the witch being not so witchy today? Now, does yoga help these spasms?

Charlotte- I have my fingers crossed!! Good luck, I sure hope it works out!

Jillybean--hey there! I have no advice,LOL, just saying hi!

Dallys- you crack me up with your dog in heat stories! Enjoy your walk. Wish I could go for one-- ALONE -- no kiddies :p

Suz- good for you and your new meds. I hope it works. One of the possible side effects of my med is *irritability*, and damn't I think I am suffering that today LOL!!:p

Anne- I wonder if you are on to something with me burning out. I don't think I am, or atleast, I am telling myself that I am not. Don't know. I am to afraid of losing progress and such. I think i am overtired alot too. During the week it is hard with babysitting. Who knows. I have to give it some thought. I don't want to lose my maniacness LOL! But, I don't want any serious injuries either. A bit achy today in general.

BTW Charlotte- I think what you are doing for the cat is wonderful. Any way you could keep it:p :7

Good morning Ladies!

I forgot to tell you guys this. DH put new speakers in the basement and outside so that a) I could rock out with my Cathe DVD's and b) we could have outside speakers for when we're in the hot tub. So this morning I had Cardio Fusion in and had pushed play but I could only hear a lot of base. So I turned it up up up and still nothing. So I went and got DH and he came down to help me and informed me that I had the outside speakers on. And they were blaring!!! It was the beginning of the warm-up. We live on 10 acres, but the way the houses are situated, people aren't necessarily 10 acres away from us. And sound really travels out there when it's quiet like it was this morning. :7

Suz, they just went away....
I really think the epidural when i had my daughter caused them. That is when they started. A year ago i decided to get off the paxil and i only get them on a pms time.
I really think it took years for the nerve endings to repair them selves.I tried everything throughout the years. Even acupuncture...

Meag, you seem to be getting sick like me and injured. That is why i think you are burning out. It is running you down too much. I had a couple horrible w/o weeks, but i feel so much better and stronger this week.
I burn it at both ends . Work 9 hrs a day cook, run errands and try to do an 1 1/2 hr w/o a night.I just don't want to break till Jan when i have the surg.I will get a rest then.
Sometimes i think i can keep up with Char, Diane Sue and Deb. Well they are stronger than me and i feel it will come w/time. I have to adjust to my limits.
Hey, when i 1st started doing Cathe, i could not lift what she does. Now except for biceps, i have passed her up on the tapes anyways.
Guess it takes years to build the muscle and Stamina...

I GOT MY CLICK AND SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAHOO!!!!!!!7:7 :7 :7 :7

Can you feel my excitment????:p

Anne- maybe a few light days may be alright. I do feel a little run down lately.
My weekday:
get up at 6:30 for Matthew (kid get's on the bus here at 8)
baby gets here about 8
leave at 8:30 to take CHase to school
get home about 9:15
leave at 11 to get Chase
come home, lunch, nap at 12:30
5 and 7 yo kids get off bus here at 3
they leave at 6ish
run down to mom's to take care of horses, come home dinner, kids bed at 8
Then I try to WO, or somewhere inbetween, while taking care of baby who is not on a regular sleep schedule.
Thur and Fri I leave at 4:30, drop boys off at grams, then take the 3 kids to another house, then work till 8, then WO if I didn't before.

Usually I am fine with all this, but I haven't been sleeping well, and I feel run down. Plus, my neck and my back, and my knees bugging me on and off. I desperately don't want any injury that forces me to rest. That would be horrible.

I am just so worried to lose gains, even though I have read so many times that a little break is good once in a while. I don't want to feel bad or like a slug for not pushing it like usual. And of course the ever frightening weight gain.

OK, sorry for the novel. I just want to be smart. I feel in my head that I WANT a serious WO, like usual, but my body isn't cooperating as much the last week and half. Weird.
I agree Anne- you have been kicking butt the last few days since you took it easy. Maybe I should follow your lead.
Thanks Anne.

Suz--WAY TOO FUNNY!!! I am sure your neighbors appreciated a little Cathe in the morning!!!

Dallys - a gal I work with is getting two Newfoundland dogs next week and both of them just came into heat. So I showed her the picture of Carma in her diaper (and one of them is named Carma!). She asked me to ask you where you got the diapers.

Thanks!

Hey Maniacs! I didn't do Yoga X, I needed a change and did Yoga Shatki-Lunar Flow 1. There were a few moves in there, that I'm like, WTH?. LOL! I wonder if I'll EVER beable to do that one with zero modifications. It was nice and relaxing and I did enjoy it alot.

Meg-
Your schedule is very full! I like how P90x adds in a recovery week every 4th week. You are still working out, just lighter and different. Maybe you just need a week of change and then get back to it. Oh! What's CLICK and SHIP?

Suz-
Way to rock the neighbors and wild life! LOL! That's a good idea you husband got there with the outdoor speakers.YOu sure burned alot of calories this morning;) That's funny your friends dog is a Carma too! I got the diaper at Petsmart. Mines a X large and kinda big for my dog. I hope she can find one big enough to fit her dogs.

Randi-
That workout sounds like a good tough one! I want to try it.

I learned 3 lessons on the way home from work tonight. 1) Keep your gas tank at least half full. 2) Always go to the bathroom BEFORE you leave work. 3) Always have some sort of food - a bar or something - in your car. There was a semi on the interstate that caught on fire. It was about 1/4 mile from my mom's and they heard 2 booms so I don't know if it was a tanker explosion or what. I saw a ton of black smoke. Then the traffic stopped. I got stuck on an overpass with semis everywhere. I sat there for about 20 minutes with 1/4 tank of gas, a dying cell phone battery and HUNGRY! Luckily I did go to the bathroom before I left work. After 20 minutes, a semi a couple of vehicles back decided to back up to the previous off ramp. Woo hoo!!!! Freedom! I kept calling DH to find out what was going on but since it was on the interstate it was Highway Patrol. THEN I saw a city police vehicle with lights going so I called him back (he was still at work). One of his Sgt's called dispatch and found out. DH said that if the semi melted the interstate I would be there for a looooooooong time. That semi driver who backed up is my hero of the day. :) Luckily he had one long trailer. I don't think he could have done it with two.

I got gas on the way home.

That's crazy Suz! Glad it turned out all right.

Dallys- yeah, the schedule is full, but I don't mind it as long as I can spend the day with my own kids. I love being a SAHM wiht them. I was terribly depressed when I worked with CHase in daycare.

SO, no official WO today, mostly due to time. I forgot I had fire drill tonight. BUT, I certainly got a good UB WO! Taking and keeping control of the nozzel with those fire hoses is tough, but I love it. My chest and shoulders were really feeling it. Man, that is so much fun. Unfortunately though, my back is bothering me a bit. Wearing that heavy fire gear can do that to my back, but I think it irritated it much faster tonight. No worries. I will heat it and take care of it.

Thanks again Anne and Dallys. I have to sit down and figure something out. I absolutely can't go a whole week doing nothing. Maybe I will feel totally different in the morning. WHo knows! :)

Have a good night everyone!

Wow Suz! What an crazy drive home! I guess we all should think ahead and prepare for stuff like that.

Meg-
That's why I've worked at home for some many years...to be home with my kids and always be there if they needed me. Wouldn't want to trade that!:) The fire drill sounds so fun!

Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser tonight? Marty's gone now. His transformation was unbelievable. He doesn't even look like the same person. That new girl sure had a big whiny fit. LOL!
