Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cathe's Step, Jump & Pump Step & Weights premix circuit (46")and did the ab/core work from SJP also - and then I added on each intensity blast segment from Lotte Berk Hip Hugger Abs, Muscle Eats Fat & High Round Assets (30"). SJP & Ab/Core took 65 minutes and I burned 360 calories and then after the Blasts, workout was 1 hour 35" and I burned 430. I also did Erich Schiffman's Yoga Backyard Beginners for 50 minutes.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll be around today.

I think I vented thru my dreams this morning. Wild..wild..wild.

I am thinking of doing ME today. Lighter weights but more reps...haven't done that in awhile. Maybe get in some light yoga early on.

Checkin in to say hello.
Been buisy. Snowstorm here today.3-6 and it is coming down.

I am back in the saddle and i have not hurt this bad in years. DOMS are not the word for it.I had to skip yesterday. I could barely walk.

I joined the YMCA. I need a change and the machines are nice for now. My legs are fried. I can do like 120# on the leg press and 90# on the inner outer thigh machine.They also have a beautiful Smith machine iof you can get to it.

I have been doing 1/2 hr pretty intense cardio intervals or the eliptical and ub weights 1 day and one day legs. I do the weekends at home.Can't get to the classes. They are at 5:30. I can't get there till 6:30.Oh, well...


Char, wear that darn BIKINI.They are so full of Sh**. You look better than 90% of 16 year olds.More buff mama...No bikini's are for old out of shape people..+

Dallys, salmon salad sounds wonderful. I love blackened Tuna salad.
I need to eat more salad. I gained a few #. I will get it off....

How did it get to be Wednesday already? Yikes!

This morning was shoulders, abs and cardio. Had a great workout. 2 minute rest between each set, this is what I did:

Shoulders:
Lateral Raise: 17's - 3 sets/10 reps (up from last week)
Front Raise: 15's - 1 set/8 reps; 2 sets/10 reps (up from last week)
Wide Grip Upright Row: 55# - 2 sets/10 reps; 1 set/9 reps (up from last week)
Dumbbell Press: 22's - 1 set/10 reps; 2 sets/8 reps
Dumbbell Shrugs: 30's - 3 sets/12 reps w/1 min. rest

Abs:
Low Impact Circuit

Cardio Coach #1 but only had time for Challenge #1 & 2. Had a great time with this one. Wore my HR monitor for cardio only, this workout was 26 min., was in my zone for 19 minutes and burned 142 calories. Travelled 1.5 miles.

Good Morning!

Today was supersets and I added some more ab work. Everybody here seems to be into yoga. What are your faves? The only yoga I have is something by Tari Rose. It is a good workout, but the music sucks!!

Sara - I've recommended Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti and Eion Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness to others and they seem to enjoy them. They are both very good and available at Amazon.
 
Good Morning, yesterday I started out taking my time, feeling more relaxed, when my dil called right in the middle of yoga wanting me to help with her dd costume. So I rushed to get done and shopping, bank and library drop done so I could get home. Anyway yesterday I did a 4 mile treadmill run at a walk,jog, and moderate run interval pace, then I did Body Max2 abs, and 2 sets ea, 100# Bowflex crunches 25 reps, 12# hanging knee raise 15 reps, 50# barbell rollouts on toes 15 reps, I followed this with Eoin Finns Power Yoga for Happiness Bliss segment. Today will be cardio, and the M&F Hers rotation phase 3. I have 3 more days of this rotation left to do. I will probably finish it off on Monday as I have to make up for last week:)

Lora and Dallys, I like Eoin's yoga dvd. I did see the dog sitting on the Matt. I would have liked to check out what it was doing more but it is hard when I am concentrating on the downward dog to look at the tv :7 Does each of the segments just add on more of the original workout as they get longer? I am just curious because I noticed the quickie and the bliss one were the same other than adding a little more on.

Anne, it sounds like you are really getting back into the workouts. I bet you are looking awesome. It won't take you long to get to lifting what you were before:)

Charlotte, when you are 70 you will probably be showing the young girls up in that bikini:7 I wouldn't let Oprah bother me. Don't have to many of those nightmares.

Diane Sue - I always thought Bliss & Quickie were totally different.....so much that I don't care for the Bliss one as much as I do the Quickie one. The Quickie one has a better of selection of poses for the half hour. I really only use Quickie, Bliss & Magically Hips off of it and never tried the other ones.........sorry. I've never even done the entire practice....cuz I tend to do Magically Hips most times I pick it up.
 
Okay...quick question....does anybody get blockbuster online (like netflix). Well, I thought I would try some of the w/o dvds. Here is what I found that I would like to try first. Has anybody tried any of these? If so, what did you think of them?

Morning Maniacs! Have a day off today, so I'll be busy cleaning and other errands. Hoping to do some Yoga this morning and maybe get me and the dog outside. Looks like it will be a nice day.:)

Sara- Eoin Finns Yoga is my favorite. I also like Yoga Shatki. I've been adding in alot of Yoga lately, hoping to prevent future injuries.:) It's also makes me feel so good after. I've done some YBB workouts and thought they were fun, but they really didn't fill a need for me, so I sold them. I still have the Caberet one, that I've never opened. Haven't tried any of the other workouts you mentioned.

Diane Sue- Yes, all the premixes of Y4H are parts of the whole workout. At least that's what I've noticed. The longer ones do add in some of the harder poses.

Here I am, a very occasional check-er inner. I've had Netflix and Blockbuster, and I like Blockbuster best because of the customer service, plus you get a free movie every week from a Blockbuster store - nice if you have nearby.

Today - My own brand of "Combat" pilates - not for sissies, and guaranteed to make grown men & women groan.
 
Morning. So far I got in LIC UB sculpt and abs. I NEED cardio later, hopefully the TM.

Lora- I guess I really didn't get sore from HHabs, but I still like it and think it is a GREAT add on.

Damn, you are seriously kicking butt on those machines! WOO HOO! Glad to hear it, and your sore. Work it woman! Keep on pushing and breaking down the barriers. Love it. Glad to hear from you again.

Yeah, the bikini and mini skirt stuff just fires me up...not for myself..I know I can wear a bikini as long as I keep eating right and working out, but the other women out there that are just sitting on the couch and thinking they will never because "Oprah" says so makes me mad. There are no limits to what one wants to accomplish. Stop telling people they can't when they can, right?

Lora, you had a great workout this morning. I love SB & SJ&P, my two most favorite cardio workouts by Cathe.

Anne - Good to see you back! Sounds like your workouts are going strong! Thats good to see. :) Its snowing here too, got about 3" last night. Its pretty again!

Sara - I haven't done yoga in ages but my favorite instructor is Karen Voight and Mark Blanchard. Both are excellent.

Charlotte - You are so funny. I'm actually surprised how strong my shoulders are getting, they use to be my weakest link.

Diane Sue - Great workout. Don't you just hate getting interrupted? You still got a good one in, though.

Dallys - Hi!! I guess its good that its Wednesday already, that means Friday is right around the corner.

Meg - Great going on your workout. How is LIC upper body? Is it a burner?

I just was thinking that a good new addition to your workout equipment would be a punching bag! I actually bought my son one for Xmas at his request because he needed for a safe way to take out his frustrations!

I have to move on. I am not one to stay down for too long. It is not me. I like to be happy and free so I try to find other outlets and distract myself somehow and just try to make it thru. Some days easier then other days. Yesterday was not one of them. lol

Okay, don't hate me but....it is 65 degrees here today! Dh is off work and on a field trip with ds. They are at Paoli Peaks, which is a ski resort about 20 miles from here. They make their own snow. What a perfect day for snow tubing!!!

Better go get outside and enjoy this awesome weather.....I love spring fever!!!

One more thing....I also think Char and Diane Sue will be rocking bikinis well into their 70's!!!!!
