I'm just getting ready to go do Pyramid Total Body, some cardio and some yoga. I'll be back later to check in.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today is...let me check...shoulders/arms/abs, since I am backwards I will finish this week out and I think when I am done with this week then I will do phase 2 twice like this one. Oh, well.

Got a few inches of snow. School is closed. Son will be happy. DD had a hard time getting home last night from college. Should have not gone and they should have closed it.

Hopefully no more dog fights today. Heard dh talking to FIL about "his plans" and FIL says he doesn't want to think about anything. I am in the room ready to scream. What does that mean..not think? Plan on being here forever? You got to have plans!!!! Dh says not to worry, he knows his dad will be leaving soon, but then dh gets mad at me when I question. I'll continue with my little irritations and hopefully the leaving will come sooner then later. ;-)

How did it get to Wednesday already? Yikes!

This morning I did Cardio Coach #6 with Sean, had a great workout and my HR monitor didn't mess up once. WTH? I don't get it. After that I did some ab work using my decline ab bench, my stability ball and my ankle weights. Did some 1 minute planks as well. 1 minute is a long time when doing planks, I hate those but they define my abs so well.

Workout was 1:16, was in my zone for 46 minutes and burned 374 calories! Woo hoo!!!

Char - Thats BS! I'd be worrying too. Sounds like my freakin' step son. He'll be living with us until he's 50 at this rate.

I did Cathe's Pyramid Total Body followed by Abs on the Stability Ball from the same DVD. I also did the 10 minute blast segment from The Bar Method Designer Sculpting and about 40 minutes of Stomp It 2 Step with Rebecca Small and Marc Oliver Kluike. For my cool down, I started to learn a Rebecca segment from Super Step, then did the stretch from Cathe's LIC. Total cardio & weights was 2 hours and 15 minutes and I burned 635 calories. I then did Eion Finn's Pure & Simple Yoga (45 minutes).

My other 2 Rebecca Small tapes I ordered a long time ago (from the UK) finally came the other day, so I think I officially have enough complex coreography to keep learning for a LONG time to come .....between Rebecca and Step Gone Wild! Oyy...why do I torture my brain like this?

My hamstrings & lower glutes are so stiff and sore.....is this from running? I can't figure it out and that's one of the new things I did the other day.

I did my Hip Pain (SI Joint) premix from Yoga for Stress Relief last night and it really helps my sciatica. Darn, that reminds me....I've got to remember to go hang on the pull up bar in the basement (per Deb's rec)!!

Deb- You've gotta get that HRM to function properly more often! So - you liking GH these days? That dude that's holding everyone hostage is freakin' whacked! I just know Jason is gonna be hurt in the explosion! Do you like Spinelli's character. He's a trip.

Toasty -hang in their with the FIL, and just remember life is constantly changing and he won't be there forever. I say this cuz I'm trying to convince myself of the same!

Good Morning, today is the Muscle & Fitness Hers Rotation. I will do some yoga/stretching and maybe some cardio. It only calls for cardio on the off days from the weights so I guess that is 3 days cardio and 3 weights. I have lowered the cardio some. I have a cold and have been feeling yucky. I will see how it goes.

Lora, are you still working out? :)

Charlotte, your fil has been there for awhile. I would think he would be ready to move on. Is it because he can't find a place or does he not have the funds? I have been there before. It is hard giving up your lifestyle and space. I have been there before. I don't think as long as you have now though.

Debbie, good calorie burn:) Does your stepson work? How old is he? I think once they are adults they need to learn to function on their own unless there are extenuating circumstances to prevent it. I would charge him rent. He might be more serious about moving since he has to pay anyway.

Lora, good workout. I find if I run on the treadmill on consecutive days my hamstrings and glutes feel really tight. I know you do plenty of stretching and yoga which I do afterward and I think helps.

I think my workout will be short today as the gargage door installers called and want to come at 10 this morning. Got to hurry so I can get in something.

Sorry you are not feeling well. So not like you to be sick either.

FIL has picked out a few places around our area here, but he is not sure where he wants to live just yet so will be flying out to the west next week and then to Florida. He has the funds, just doesn't seem motivated in my opinion to really get moving on. I know in my heart, it is only a matter of time...has to be. I just don't want to end up moving into a new house with him, ya know? That would really depress me. He is finding out more and more that the walls are closing in..the dogs don't get along at times and sometimes we don't either.

Thanks for the encouragement....like Diane..I need it. I don't want to feel overwhelmed by this. I will have the house to myself for the later half of February, at least. I can concentrate on my workouts better too when I am alone.

Wish you had a camera so you can take pictures of yourself cuz you have been burning so many calories, I am sure you got to be getting more definition.

Toasty -nah........just the opposite...my scale is being nasty to me the past few days. I'm midcycling (I think) and tend to hold water weight during this time. I think I might be "overdoing" it with all of my exercise also and therefore holding water......either that or I've gained cuz all of this cardio makes me hungry and I eat more......even though it's healthy....bananas are 100 calories each!!! and so on and so forth.
Also, even if I did have a digital camera, I don't have enough self confidence to ever post a picture of my JLO butt and fat legs!

I do remember that when I do cardio that I tend to hold alot of water too. Once it goes down though, things could start looking good..remember that. Keep it up! I thought J Lo's butt was suppose to be nice? Well rounded and such.

I just went into the sunroom to clean. FIL was smoking in there. Had to be. I am at my wits end now..almost afraid of myself cuz what I might say. I found myself cussing and forgot son stayed home from school. I plan on leaving the windows open all day in there.

Hey all. Going on appr 3 hours of sleep here! I had to get up at 3 to take parents to the airport, so of course I could NOT get to sleep last night, mind was racing. ANd the boys chose that night to not sleep well! LOL! As soon as I finally fell asleep, Chase woke up crying, he had an accident in bed. SO once I got him and all that straightened out, I finally fell asleep again, and then Connor woke up crying. Boy o boy! LOL So I just did some house work and stuff.

I am hoping to do just straight cardio today. Maybe CC.

Char- so sorry for all those frustrations. Must be really hard, especiallly the smoking. There have been times when I wasn't paying attention and said some stuff in front of my kids too, cursing. Hope your day improves.

DS- I hope you feel better soon and get a decent WO today.

Deb- good WO. That is the CC I might do today. How old is your SS?

Randi- yeah, did you get a day off yet? LOL

I finished part of my workout. I still want to go back and do some yoga. The guy is here working on the garage door. I started out with Drill Max warm up and first two drills to get a good warm up then did my M&F hers rotatiom, then I did Drill Max str.. My dogs are upset about there being someone strange banging around in the garage.
workout went like this and took me 41 minutes 8 reps all exercises
barbell squats 80# 3 sets
barbell bench press 65# 3 sets
Romanian deadlift 80# 3 sets
Bowflex seated row 150# 3 sets
dumbbell stationary lunge one foot elevated on bench 35# dumbbells 3
overhead press calls for barbell this time I did 25# dumbbells 3 sets
Barbell hack squats heels elevated 80# 3 sets
Bowflex incline bench press 100# 3 sets
dumbbell sumo squats 95# 3 sets
Bowflex pulldowns 160# 3 sets
Added alternating bicep curls with a twist 25# 3 sets
Added lying dumbbell tricep extensions 20# 3 sets

Charlotte, hopefully you can keep your cool till your fil is gone so there are no bad feelings. At least you will get a break and maybe he will find something he is happy with.

Maeghan, I hope you can find the time to get some rest. Sounds like you had a rough night.

Lora - Yes, I'm loving GH these days. I'm on the edge of my seat lately watching it. That guy gives me the creepos too. Is a major actor suppose to die? I heard Maxie might but I'm not sure. I love Spinelli. I love when he calls Jason "Stone Cold". LMAO!!! Hang girl, it'll do you good!

Diane Sue - Mag is in the mail for you. Hope you feel better. Yes, my step son works. Hasn't offered us a dime since he's been with us. Well, he did give me $20 back in December! Whoop de do. He got paid yesterday and I demanded he give me $50. He gave me $45. Said he was broke already. He gets paid every other week. I don't get these kids, but I told dh he is NOT getting a free ride from us like he did from his mother. He'll be 21 in April. And I agree, I'm going to demand $50 every other week from him and maybe he'll leave. Oy! I just read your workout. Feeling better are we? LOL! Great job!

Meg - That sucks, I hate when I don't sleep well. Thankfully it doesn't happen too often. My ss is 21.

Debbie, I know! Hump day already is here. CC sounds great, and I agree about blanks, but again they are so good for ya.

Char, hopefully FIL (perhaps an in-law) will find his place soon. You must be way East of me to have snow. Be safe.

Lora, What an awesome workout!. 635 calories worth. I might hit 400 today, and that's something for me. Yoga, I would think is good for the sciatica. Hang in there girl. Where I'm at in fitness, cardio is really good to me, I lose the unwanted weight. (for me I still need to do a little more of that) and weight training, It seems so slow forthcoming.

Diane Sue, take care of your self and get rid of that awful cold. When I have a cold, I just don't want to do anything. I guess you just have to get in there and do it anyway. All the more power to you. OMG! I just read your workout, and was still able to edit. Your a SuperWoman! How can you do that with a cold?

Megadoo, OMG! You need sleep. Maybe tonight you can go to bed early, and catch up on it. I remember those kinds of days with my little ones. "Boy o boy!" Is right. Take care of yourself.

Sunnyside, Good for you on a 3 days in a row workouts! I will celebrate with you.

Today I'm doing Power Max. I love that DVD. Then later on, I'll do some yoga or stretching.

What kind of equipment is in your workout space? I want to get ready to train hard, but I don't think I could lift up over 45 pounds over my head. Things like that. I have a small room, so what do you all suggest? I'm taking out the Health Rider, the Total Gym (some parts are missing off it anyway). I have a tredmill, a climber, and a stationary bike. What else do I need?

Janie- Do you have a bench? That's a must for me. I lifted 60 lb barbell over my head for squats and ended up hurting my elbow. I need to find a safer way. Some girls on here have Smith machines or a set up to get up-under the bar without picking it up. That's for sure the safe way. Don't do what I did!

Hi Girls!

This morning I did Chest/Shoulders/Tri X since I screwed up this week. That's a tough workout! I increased some pushups and some weight which was good b/c I hadn't seen much improvement in that area. 'Bout time! Then I did 3 sets of 15 tricep pushdowns with 40#. Gonna burn those babies! My back is pretty much all better. Yay! Gotta do ab ripper tonight.

Dallys - I got my Smith squat machine plus everything else it came with (an entire home gym) for four hundred and something dollars at Sam's Club. Have you looked at Smith's? Or do you not have the room?

Diane Sue - I hope you feel better too. Have you tried ColdMD yet? I swear that stuff is more amazing than Airborne and I like that stuff pretty well. It's warded off more colds for me. And it claims to get rid of them in record time too. Wal-Mart's got the best price.

Meg - Get some sleep girl!

Char - Start making FIL work out with you - but REALLY work and may be then he'll move!!!

Hi to everybody else. I'm getting ready to got to lunch with a girlfriend. We're going to try those new grilled chicken wraps at McDonald's. It's pretty nice out today - 40's. Supposed to snow Saturday but not much I don't think. Good thing b/c we're suppsed to go with some friends to Colorado to the MACARONI SIN PALACE Charlotte!

Suz- I have checked Smith machines. I don't have room for anything else right now because of our monstrosity of a workout station, but we do (someday) plan on replacing that with something smaller and actually 'modern'.:)

Amber- A troll is a trouble maker. Someone who's first posts are sarcastic and cause trouble. They do it for to stir up trouble and once they do, they disappear.

Dang, Back to work...will it ever end? LOL!
