Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cathe's Low Impact Step - Total Body Premix followed by Kick Max Blast ....but had to modify on the Rebounder with my boot or and believe me - my HR did not get near as high as it should have and I probably shouldn't be doing flying jacks on the rebounder with my foot. I'm sick of modifying and wish my foot would heal already. I miss doing step aerobics.....did the warmup of LIC on the step with my boot on and of course, it was awkward also. Workout was about 1 hour and 15 minutes and I burned 330 calories. I also did Ravi & Ana's Yoga Quick Fix - Flexible and Free & Anti-Arthritis segments.

Have great workouts everyone. I have an interview at the Telemarketing place this morning and I'm going to the grocery store this afternoon.
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I worked my abs in the morning before work. I worked arms at 8:30pm. This is what I did:

Coremax 2, am

Cheat Curls with 75# 20x's
Zottman Curls with 20's 3 sets/8 (could have gone heavier, but this exercise seems to irritate my shoulder/neck at times)
Hammer Curls with 30's 3 sets/8

Tricep Ext off Smith Machine 50# 3 sets/10
Worked triceps while sitting in chair with db going behind head with one arm at a time..from the side using 15# db (just forget what this is called) lol.

Today is shoulders/and elliptical. I work this evening. I also got $1 raise yesterday as there were heavy milk boxes to move and the girl I worked with suggested leaving for the guys and said women shouldn't do this kind of work...HA!!!!! What a joke so I moved them of course onto the shelves. Boss heard the conversation...seen me doing this and so now I actually make decent money for fast food. More then I made working at the bank.
 
Morning all! Thank you for your nice comments yesterday about my pics. I can't seem to get on here during the day anymore, kind of makes me mad!! I never have time for anything anymore. :( Also, I didn't mean for those pics to load like that, it was suppose to be just the links but that didn't work for some reason.

This morning was back and bi's. I'm not too happy with the way this workout turned out. Back work was excellent, bicep work, not so good. Not sure what happened, lost my strength big time with the bicep work.

Back
Wide Grip Pullups:
7/6/6 (was 6/6/6 last week)
***This is the BEST I have done with these! Never in a million years did I think I'd be up to 7 UNASSISTED reps!!!

Barbell Rows (warmup):
65# - 1 set/12 reps
75# - 1 set/10 reps
***First time adding in a warmup set.

Barbell Rows (working sets):
80# - 3 sets/8 reps (same as last week)
***Wondering if the warmup sets had anything to do with my bicep fatigue? This was teh first time I did warmup sets for BB rows.

One Arm Rows:
45# - 3 sets/10 reps (same as last week but reps were 10/9/9)

Biceps (as sad as it was)
Barbell Curls (warmup):
45# - 1 set/10 reps
***Could this have messed me up? First time doing a warmup set for bicep work)

Barbell Curls (working sets):
62# - 1 set/6 reps
60# - 6/5 reps (last week I was able to do all three sets with 62#)
***I cheated BIG TIME with the last two reps with teh first set and also cheated BIG TIME with the last 2 reps of the 2nd and 3rd set) I was totally pissed off here.

Zottman Curls:
22's - 3 sets/8 reps (same as last ewek but dropped 2 reps each set)
***I was quite upset that I had to drop out two reps.

Concentration Curls:
22's - 12/10/10 reps (last week did 12/12/12)
***Totally bummed about this.

Was suppose to do trap work but I said screw it. I'll do it on Saturday when I work my shoulders. Oh well, chalk it up to a bad day.
 
Good Morning, today I am getting a late start around here this morning. Today I am going to do cardio, abs, and yoga. I am undecided whether I want to do a treadmill workout or a step workout. Maybe I will do both :)Then off to the store.

Lora, good luck with the interview.

Charlotte, that is great that you got a raise. Lifting boxes gives you some bonus weight work:D

Debbie, your weights looked good to me. Don't know why that happens but I have found it frustrating when I can't even do my usual weight loads. Maybe the muscles weren't fully recovered yet from the previous workout.

Morning Maniacs! Nothing to report yet. I'm looking for a new rotation to start in Sept. and can't decide. Thinking P90X, but then maybe just something on my own without DVD's. Hmmm. All I know is that what I've been doing has aggravated my elbow. To many reps and isolation moves. I think it was the shoulder work in Bm2 upper 2X's. Lots of lateral stuff.

Char- Great going getting a raise! Like we frail girls can't lift a milk box...huh? LOL! What hrs. are you working? Thought you didn't want days.

Debbie- Like Diane Sue said, Maybe your muscle weren't fully recovered from the last workout. Could be what you ate the day before. Could be the moon was not aligned with the earth...who knows, but it's frustrating at times. Anyhoos, didn't look like a bad workout to me. Great going on the pullups! On the Stumpuous website, she says if you can do 6 to 8 pullups than you need to start adding weight! Just thought I'd throw that out to you.}( LOL!

Diane Sue- I betting you'll do both. Just a hunch. LOL!

Well working there as I switched from one town to another, I have to work a few days too. My nickname is Popeye now cuz when I got done lifting boxes, I ate my spinach. lol

Deb- those pics are fantastic. Great job! Inspiring for sure.

Char- congrats on the raise. You deserve it, and I love the Popeye!

Dallys- I really want to do P90x, but I don't have it yet. Not in the budget right now, but I know my body would really respond to it well. I think it is what I need right now. And Tony is quite the motivator! lol.

My internet was down since Friday, annoying. I worked all weekend, did alot of running around. I was going to do a 5k Sunday morning, but I got conned into closing the restaurant and didn't leave work till after 12:30, and my feet ached, so no run for me. Never would have made it. Next time.

I am feeling very blah, and "off" lateley. Trying though. Doing what I can. I feel like I look like complete "sh*t" and not fit and bloated and all that negative stuff, but i am still getting compliments here and there. Helps keep my spirits up I guess.

Lora - Great workout! Are you still watching GH? It is boring the HELL out of me lately!

Char - Nice workout yesterday!!! Cheat curls look awesome, girl!

Diane Sue - I felt very recovered this a.m. I had so much energy. Just not sure what happened to it. I think the warmups screwed me up.

Dallys - Funny you should say that about adding weights. Wal Mart has a 50# vest I want to buy. Of course I won't use 50# to do pullups with, but I'd love the added resistence. I'm going to get it as soon as I have the extra $$$. I want to use it for pushups as well.

Deb- I also want a weighted vest. I think it would be a safe way to add weight for squats. Great idea for the pushups too. I bet ankle weights would be good for pullups.

Meg- Remember, you are a VERY tough person. You are georgous and look like a girl that keeps herself in shape.}( Keep thinking positive thoughts and things will get better soon.:)

I am getting ready to go to the store but thought I would go ahead and post my workout. I started with the treadmill and ran 2-1/2 miles, then I did Bosu blast skipping the w/up and adding a little extra resistance to the ab work. I love those planks and seated balancing moves on the bosu, then I did Rainbeau's Dawn yoga for 27 minutes. I will check back later.

Running late today (work evenings). Had to take my car in for service.
I was able to get in:
30 min step heat
3/10 squats at 55#
3/20 calf raises at 55#

You girls all inspire me with your workouts. I'm disciplined just need to up the weight load!!

Hi Ladies!

Late check-in for me! I got a new computer at work finally. :)

This morning I was supposed to ride with my cycling partner finally but she stood me up! Her alarm didn't go off. Her DH was late for work too. Bummer! She felt really bad. I thought I missed her somewhere. So I decided to only ride for an hour (see Lora, I varied my ride :p) and then go home and do triceps. Tonight I'll do biceps.

You all have been busy today. I wish I could stick around and visit but I missed the whole morning of work without my desk and computer, so I better go catch up.

Deb - yes, I'm still watching GH as boring as it is. Hopefully some new exciting stuff will happen soon.

Meg - I'm not feeling too good about myself lately. Hope you feel better soon. How do you like waitressing? I was just wondering...cuz I can't seem to find a job in a store and I'm thinking waitressing comes next. Is it a half decent job? Hard on the back?? Do you have to carry trays over your head?

The Telemarketing job was another dead end. They don't hire full time and I don't think they liked me anyway. The grocery store I applied at isn't hiring...........I'm batting 1000!!!! I'm so frustrated with this.

At least I'm still here for Mom. She is not able to see since her Cataract surgery, so I'll be needing to drive her places this week and probably part of next week.
 
Lora- waitressing is alright. I make pretty decent money. You always have your good tippers, and well the ones that suck! But the worst part really is just the rude people. You have to smile and do it and not dump their drinks on their heads!! But, they are usually far and few between. Most people are really nice. The schedules are usually good when you waitress, and sometimes it gets busy and you run your butt off (good thing). It isn't hard on my back, only my feet! They get pretty sore. I would say go for it. Atleast try it. You can make good money, and I love going home with money in my pocket every night. Good luck! No trays over the head!!
