Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Barry's Chest & Abs and non-treadmill cardio with my own cool down and stretch. Workout was 75" and my HRM said I burned 400 calories, but it was really lower than that since the battery is losing power and my settings went back to default. Seems like I just changed the battery! I also did 30 minutes of Lotte Berk/Bar Method Blasts for hips/butt and abs. I did the yoga set off of Ravi & Ana's Dancin the Chakras 30".

Suz - I hope your credit stuff get's resolved quickly. I had someone hack into my Paypal account not too long ago and get my credit card info, bank acct, etc. and had to get all new accounts. When I reported it to my credit card company, they sent me forms to fill out and when the charges came thru, we verified what was ours and what was not. Apparently, the person who hacked my account was from Indonesia or somewhere really far away -- can't remember. They charged a bunch of computer software. Right before I called my credit card company, they had just put a "hold" on my account due to suspiscious activity since it was out of the norm of our spending, as we never buy computer software in boatloads!! We have a Key Bank card and they were very good with the situation.

Is anyone doing Cathe's rotation for this month? It looks good. I might do it after vacation.

Good morning. My calves and hammy's are sore from LIC. I was very achy in all my joints last night so I didn't get much of a WO in. All the kids were sick, especially my niece. After a day of nasty diapers and puke, I really needed some "fresh air" time so I went to my cousin's for awhile after the kids went to bed. I was in a very foul mood. PMS too.

So I am going to play the WO by ear today. I have to go pick my sis up on the Mass Pike somewhere. I hope to leave here around 10. I will WO later on. I want to spend time with her too.

Lora- Your little Brooklyn sounds so cute, and fun. My cousin's cat is expecting, so I hope to get one of those kittens.

Meg - Hey! Good to see you. PMS -- Ahhhhh.....how could I forget?? I was screaming at the TV this morning doing this workout. I really wish Barry would lead all of the DVDs in his set.....as today's instructor, Rich .....drives me NUTS. He explains each exercise in detail. I was fast forwarding thru it, but it still made me nuts. I guess I know why I usually listen to music instead of him!!! I did put my own music on for the cardio. I swear that the older you get, the worse PMS gets!

I went to got to the gym and forgot socks.

I went home and did a walk, and it is like mountain climbing here. All up hill. I jogged on the flats and walked up and down the hills.
It was 1 1/2 hrs and i am going to feel the shins today...
It was 80 deg. yeasterday and supposed to snow Thurs. WTF... I want spring ....
It was so nice getting outside...
May hit the gym tonite... Maybe...

I howled. I saw Santa on a Balcony.Someone was painting a log sided house country blue.It is amazing. Either the houses are nice and well kept or thay are Sh*t holes. I know this is a wooded old ski resort community, but the ski resort burnt about 15 yrs ago...

It is just amazing on how some live. I saw alot of houses that looked like hunting cabins. Literally.Guess i have a little caring about my home and property...I like country and woodsy, but i also like a little grass....

This was the last day of the 5 sets workout, thank God! Today was shoulder, traps and abs. 2 minute break between each set:

Shoulders:
Barbell Overhead Press: 50# - 3 sets/10 reps; 2 sets/8 reps
Wide Grip Upright Rows: 45# - 5 sets/10 reps (should have went higher but didn't want to sacrifice my form)
Lateral Raise: 15's - 5 sets/10 reps
Bent Over Lateral Raise: 12's - 5 sets/10 reps

Traps:
Dumbbell Shrugs - 35's - 6 sets/10 reps 1 minute rest

Abs:
From Body Max 2 - Why hasn't anyone told me how great this ab work is? This will quickly become one of my favorites. I loved it!

Workout was one hour and 15 minutes. Glad its over, I hate shoulder work! Didn't get to do my cardio, bummed about that.

Good Morning, today is kickboxing, abs, and yoga. I have to go grocery shopping and deal with the hot tub some more:( It is funny how one tiny thing can cause so much trouble.

Debbie, so are you getting results with this rotation? I am just on week 3 so it is hard to tell. I see right now it is taking a little longer than the first two weeks.

Anne, your descriptions are so funny:7 I know it seems like some people have no pride in their homes. I can not imagine not caring any more than that.

Diane Sue - Yes, I am seeing results. I've added 1/4" to my biceps since I started this rotation. My shoulders are really coming out too. I'm very happy with my results but I seem to have excellent results with any rotation I do. I'm lucky! :)
 
Hello Maniacs!!

Late checking in today...busy morning for me.

I ran 8.25 miles on my treadmill. Had to do a long run because I didn't get to workout during lunch.

I got new shoes...Saucony's. Now I know why I switched from them before. The toes box is slightly more narrow and my toes are getting numb...hate that.

Lora - I do not like one of the instructors either, I think it could be Rich because he takes too long between moves...drives me nuts!!

Meaghan - Sorry you are not "feelin it". Just chill a bit...things will get better.

Suz - I didn't get the story about your credit....I'll go back and read. Hope everything gets straightened out. That's so scary...can't trust anybody...sheesshh!!

Anne - You are one funny little lady...I love reading your posts!! Thanks for the compliment...how sweet of you. It's amazing how people live...although nothing suprises me anymore.

This morning I did CC#4 on the bike (trainer). That is officially the hardest of 4, 5 and 6. Oy, oy, oy! I stayed on for 60 minutes. My quads were burning more than I think they've ever burned in my whole life. Ah, I'm such a drama queen!

Marietta - I'll save you the search - credit card was compromised last week, that's all. Just a pain in the tush!

The DHL delivery was the new credit cards. Whew! I wondered if maybe it was a new TV.

Diane Sue - I missed what happened with your hot tub. I went back through yesterday's posts but didn't see.

Meg - I hope you feel better.

Lora - I can't even imagine our Paypal account getting hacked. Don't freak me out! :p

Debbie - How long is the ab section from BM2? I keep forgetting to work abs. That's NOT good.

Afternoon Maniacs! This morning I did NROL Fatloss 1 workout B. Again, reps are down to 10 and rests are down to 45 sec. So, I've upped weights on all.

Let's see if I can remember what I did.

Warm up: One set all exercises-low weight-no rest
*Superset
Deadlifts 3x10x59#
Incline DB Press 3x10x25's
*Superset
Bulgarian split squats 3x10x20's
Mixed grip lat pull-down 3x10x80
*Superset
Romanian deadlift 3x10x59#
SB lateral roll 3x10xBW

Followed by 20 min. kind of a steady state thing on the treadmill.
burned 122 cals. on the treadmill

Total workout was 55 min.

Anne- Nothing like a good walk around the neighborhood to see what the people are really like. Oy! It's amazing the contrasts out there.

Debbie- You made it! You did your last 5 set workout. What a tough week that was! Funny you say " I seem to have excellent results with any rotation I do". I'm the same way. If I really stick to any rotation, I will see results of some kind. I just have to be consistant, mostly.

Diane Sue- Geez, I hope you get that hot tub fixed. It "is" the tiny things that can irritate us. Oy!

Marietta- I wish I could run that far. My knees just fight me on the running. I keep at it though, hoping they'll get used to it somehow.

Suz-(drama queen:p)-CC4 is a killer! I think it's the hardest too.

Me again! I forgot to mention that tonight is weights. I think I'll go back to BFL lifting. I need a plan. This willy nilly lifting doesn't really work. But I will do upper body twice a week and lower once a week since cycling season is on my heels (instead of switching each week). Maybe legs on Mondays so that my legs are fresh for those weekend rides.

Me again!

Suz- Good idea on doing BFL and doing upper twice and lower on Mondays. That sounds perfect for resting legs all week, before riding. I have 1-1/2 weeks left on my Fatloss 1 rotation. I might go on to Fatloss 2, but now you got me thinking of BFL. We'll see.

Marietta- I had knee surgery on both knees about 5 years ago because my knees weren't tracking right (terrible grinding). They did a scope and lateral release on both at the same time. My doc said to never to lunges or squats again (the horror!), but running would be ok (but, no downhills or trail running). Turns out, over time, squats and lunges are fine and running bothers them the most. Lately, my IT band really feels it. Never had that problem before. I just do run/walk intervals anymore. I have never been a real runner. 3-4 miles was max for me. My body says it hates running, but my mind loves it.:( Good thing for bikes! Cuz, I love that too.:)
 
Workout today was Kick Punch and Crunch through the intensity segments then stopping at the combos, then I did Amy Bentos Kickbox Ex premix intervals( not sure why but I need to remember that the order is not right, it goes from the intervals to the stretch and core and then back to the bag work) Maybe this is my dvd. Anyway I did this then went on to Turbo Jam fat blaster and then Yoga Shatki dancing warrior 3 and 4, shoulder openers, and supine poses. I have been running all day. Making Easter cross cookies for tomorrow when the grandchildren and I decorate eggs. I need to trim the bunnies claws because we will probably take pictures with him again. Last year I put buuny hay in a plastic basket and treats for Harvey and we took pictures with all 5 grandchildren:0

Suz, I am so glad that was your new credit cards. What a relief that was for you. The plug on the pump to the hot tub was leaking. I ran everywhere and ordered some online. None were right. The first ones dh picked up for me were to big. I forced it in and it still leaked. Well, finally I went back to the original place that sold us the hot tub and gave us wrong part. They gave me some new o rings. Now this is a plug that is only about 1/2 inch. Well, that leaked as well. I am sure because the other was to big. We put pipe joint tape on it and it did not work. So now I drained the hot tub so it could dry out and I can try silicone sealer. Otherwise I think the only option is a new pump. This has been a month long project:(

Dallys - BFL lifting IS tempting, isn't it?

Diane Sue - Wow, that is a nightmare. I imagine a new pump is not cheap? Do you use your hot tub a lot? I wish we didn't live in such a dry climate b/c I think my skin would be happier with all the use ours gets. :) I hope this next fix works for you. Keep us posted. Yeah, I'm glad it was the credit cards. Visa lost/stolen people told me that even if it was something cool I needed to send it back b/c otherwise it would be hard for them to get the charges taken off. :p
