Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tuesday October 23

Good morning. I feel like patootie, with a yucky head cold. I had a horrible nightmare last night so slept like patootie too.
But good news, I got my Barry's Boot Camp DVDs!!! SOOOO excited about these. I hope I feel better latter to try them out! No work tonight either thank Goodness.

Have great WO's guys. I was MIA for a few days cuz I was really busy. Missed ya's over the weekend.

This morning starts my next 4 weeks of the Straight/Super Set rotation. Had a great workout. This morning was Chest and Tri's. I changed the exercises up a bit and really enjoyed this workout. It KILLED!!!

Dumbbell Press:
30's - 15 (warmup)
40's - 12/12/12
[font color=blue]***These felt great. I'd like to get up to 45's by the time the next 4 weeks are over.[/font]

Barbell Incline Press:
85# - 10/10/9
[font color=blue]***I love this exercise. I came down to my chest on these and it made a huge difference.[/font]

Decline Dumbbell Press:
35's - 10/12/10
[font color=blue]***Got very fatigued here. My wrist started hurting as well. My left one clicks every time I come out of the position. I wore my wrist wrap and I think that helped a lot.[/font]

Push Ups:
Did the pushups from Cathe's new 4 Day Split Chest workout. She does 1 full pushup and then 2 partial pushups and she does this 7 times. I did that twice with a 1 min. break between each time.

Tricep Pushups:

[font color=blue]***Holy crap! These were HARD! I'm sure it was because I had just got done with the other pushups. Got a great burn in the tri's.[/font]

40# - 10/10/10
[font color=blue]***Hate this exercise but it's great for mass building.[/font]

Lying Dumbbell Extensions:
15's - 12
20's - 8/7
[font color=blue]***After I upped the weights my tri's gave out quickly. Got a great burn.[/font]

Band Pulldowns:
Again, from Cathe's 4 Day Split Tricep workout. LOVED these as well. Got a great burn. Only did one set.

That is all. My arms were so fried that I had a real hard time tying a blouse behind my back this morning getting dressed. LOL!
 
I ended up doing Cardio Coach 7 on the Elipical. My legs felt heavy andI had a hard time getting my HR up past 150. Workout was 60" (skipped last challenge) and I burned 490 calories I finished off with Perfect in 10 Yoga - Release and Let Go segment 20".

Breakfast is Kashi 7-Grain Piaf with cinnamon and a pinch of brown sugar and a Danon Light & Fit yogurt with 10 almonds. Lunch yesterday was eggs and wheat toast. Apple for a snack and dinner was salad with tart cherries and low cal rasp vinagarete dressing, alpine lace swiss cheese on wheat bread.

I'm sore from my new Cathe workouts....legs, chest and back a little bit....which makes me happy.

My Kelly Coffey DVDs arrived but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. I have an interfiew this morning at Walgreens.

Toasty - I LOVE Vampire Tears. Wearing it today....and I think I'll need more. I didn't know I'd like it this much from reading the notes. It's a very well blended oil.

Diane Sue - I can't seem to get my Kashi Pilaf cooked correctly. I either overcook or undercook....but it's still good. I love it with the cinnamon and brown sugar....although I know I shouldn't be eating te Brown Sugar......but it's so good like that. I still can't figure out how the heck you go without eating all morning. I'd drop over if I didn't eat in the morning, plus breakfast is my favorite meal. Where did you say you are able to find this Kashi 7-grain pilaf stuff? I don't know where to look for it ....other than having to buy online and my DH probably won't want me to pay for shipping on food since I'm not working.

Megadoo - great to have you back!! How's the job going? Are things settling down at home?

Deb - GREAT workout....as usual! What were the tunes for the day?

Debbie- I can barely put the 30# dbs down with any grace at all after doing Presses. I try to just drop them, but it still pulls alittle on my wrists. I don't know how I'll ever up that weight safely. Can't believe you are almost ready for 45's!

Lora- You are eating EGGS! How are you liking them?

Diane Sue- Great job on doing HIS 3 times! :eek: Can't wait to hear what you think of the total upperbody.

Morning!

This morning I did biceps and triceps - on my own. Wanted to do cardio but I went to bed waaaay too late b/c I was working on that dress I'm making and I forgot to take my meds and if I take them too late it's really hard to get up early. That's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it. My new Cathe's are supposed to arrive today so maybe I'll do the High Intensity Step??? Or maybe I'll get right back to that dress. I want to finish it b/c I have a new outfit I want to start on this weekend. And I haven't even worked on those little quilts. Good thing I can buy Kongs to donate!

Dallys- I'm not just eating the whites..........eating the yokes too.. I like them like that, but can't stomach them the other way.

Just got back from my interview. She will be making a decision today. I hope I get it. It's only part time....but at least it's not seasonal. It's in Cosmetics.....so I think I'd like it. Fingers crossed.

Diane Sue- How long did the upperbody section take you?

Lora- I love the yokes too! But, I try to control and eat more whites than yokes, but I gotta add at least one yoke. Growing up, I never ever ate the whites, always yokes only. Good luck with the job!

Suz You have so many talents! Wish I could sew like that. I can mend, but not create anything wearable in public.:p

Diane Sue - What a great workout! I can see why you were hungry. Sometimes I must eat before I shower. Not often (since I eat before I workout) but there are those days. Thanks for the time on the cardio. Now I can be prepared if I want to do it 3 times through. It doesn't sound like it's long enough for me otherwise. On that hair stuff that you get - you mentioned that you ordered it from Beauty Brands? My sister is trying to order it but she said she can't order it directly from them or something? But you do, right?

Dallys - I have tried making scrambled egg whites for DH and me and scrambled egg yokes for the birds and they won't eat just the yokes! They don't like only yokes. They must know it's bad for their cholesterol. My sister's SO won't let her feed their African Grey too many bad things b/c he worries about her cholesterol. :p

Hey Maniacs! I finished LIS. I really liked it. It was alittle easier to catch on to than HIS. The shoulder work was killer. Matched Cathes weights except for the front raises which hurt my elbow. It'll be fun to start doubleing up on some of the cardio workouts for a longer cardio session.

Diane Sue- Thanks, that's good to know for when I'm ready to do that one.

Suz-I guess eating like a bird is a good thing then?;)

Hey Maniacs!!!

I just did cardio coach push and play today. I had a opportunity to spend some time with dh (which isn't often) so I did that instead yesterday. Although I worked chest/back/shoulders and abs earlier.

So today I burned 340 cals. Traveled 4.1 miles and kept my pace around 11mph, but got up to 14mph and hr to 172 without having a hard time like before..so I am improving somehow. lol. I didn't finish the cardio coach to the end because I started to feel dizzy. I don't think I drank enough water earlier on in the day as I had a ton of errands to do today. One was to take one of the poodles down to vets after Speck bit her in the face over food at dinner time. Now we put all the dogs outside while we eat.

Well I need to shower now. Tomorrow I work in the am so will have no time to post workout, but will be working out before work. Will do arms and abs.

There is this man that comes in and buys 2 banana splits everytime he comes. His belly becomes part of the steering wheel. I seriously don't know how he drives. I have the hardest time giving him the banana splits. I feel like a drug pusher. It is really sad to see this. Nothing wrong with having a banana split once in a while...like once a year, but geez.

What happened today was I took a friend out to eat for her bday, and she likes First Watch. Saw, on the brunch menu, stuffed mushrooms w/a little cheese, eggs, English muffin & potatoes (I did not eat the taters) I figured it wouldn't be that bad ... mushrooms are VERY low in calories by themselves. The thing is, there was alot of grease in this entree. When I checked the macros of this on the web after we got back, I was floored! ;( It had almost 1200 calories, and over 80 grams of fat! :eek: Yikes!

Lesson learned today ... [FONT COLOR=RED]ALWAYS CHECK MACROS AND CALORIES BEFORE GOING TO THE RESTAURANT!!! [/font] All info for this restaurant is available on the internet.
