Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Skinny Bitch Booty Beat cardio. It is a retro-dance/hip hop workout. Workout was 60" and I burned 627 calories. This was a good lower impact workout (good for my back and neck today) and my heartrate hovered around 145-150 which was decent for lower impact.

Have great workouts everyone. I work until 8:30 tonight. Not sure how my back is going to be being on my feet all day. I'm depressed about all of this pain and my upcoming surgery.

Didn't workout yesterday, had to take my mom in for her left eye to get surgery done on it. She did really well again. Honestly, I had all day to workout, I just didn't feel like it. I previewed Amy Bento's Kickbox Surge and that workout looks really fun. A bit repetitive, but fun. I will try to do it sometime this week.

Today I did Power Hour. Haven't done that workout in a long long time. Had fun with it and I even did the ab work. Kept my weights very light but still got a great burn.

Linda - Pretty cool how you are doing STS without the disc's. Talk about ambition!!! And Cathe does love pushups. I don't get it? LOL!!! Nice job with workout #1.

Lora - Sorry to hear about your accident. Geez, just what you need with your back. Hope you are feeling ok today.

Morning! I did PUB this morning and Mindy Mylrea's Cardio Toolbox warm up and sporty step. It was a great workout- I upped the weights on everything but shoulders. :) Since we're on that theme, I will mention that I was happy I didn't do any pushups in today's workout. :D

Lora: I'm sorry about the accident- man you have to be due for a break soon. Glad you like the Skinny Bitch workouts- my SIL read the book and is now completely vegan.

Debbie: The kickbox surge one can be a bit repetitive- seems like she spends a lot of time building up a combo. But I need the time to get it down so I don't notice it so much while I'm doing the wo. Glad your mom is ok.

Yea, I'm hoping it doesn't seem that repetitive when I'm doing it. It looks so fun. I can do without Amy's singing, though.

She does sing, LOL. I forgot about that. I need to pull that one out again- maybe Friday. KPC is on my rotation and I just dread that one for some reason.

Anyone have the Squeaky Gourmet cookbook? I ordered one but don't have it with me. In the BEEF section, I need to calorie count for the Mexican burgers. If anyone can give me the info I'd appreciate it.

Oh, and I've made four recipes so far and each one of them have been excellent! I made the Spicy Chicken Salad - LOVED THIS! The Apple Crisp, the Garlic chicken over spaghetti and the Mexican burgers. Every one so far has been really good.

Anyone else make anything?

I am trying to get back into my workouts. Still getting things organized from the move. Yesterday I did Amy's All Pump Extreme Lower body timesaver which was the lower body minus the multi joint and core segments. I burned 276 calories. Not too good but it was something. I spent most of my time trying to organize my workout room. I think the nice ceiling fan/light is going to have to go. It hangs down to far. I hit it with the stability ball this morning.
Today I did 3 miles on the treadmill and Amys Slo Mo back, shoulders, and core. I burned 701 calories. I need to go get some material to cover the bar stools and look at light fixtures after the guy comes to put the belts on the lawn mower.

Debbie, I wish I had that cookbook. I bookmarked it but have refrained from buying much till I got moved into my own house. The recipes sound yummy.

Lora, sorry that you had someone hit your car. I guess I missed why you are having surgury. I hope everything goes well for you.

Patti, I used to love KPC but now have a hard time making myself pull it out. I think maybe I just did it to death LOL The same with Power Max. It was my first Cathe cardio and I did it so much that when I purchased the dvd with it on it I never did it again.

Ally, sorry to hear that you have been sick. I hope you are on the recovery end of it.

Lora-sorry to hear about your car wreck. How is everything going with TTOTM? Did you get back in to the doctor?

Debbie-
Surge is a little repetitive...the second combo is very long to me, but I find her singing a nice distraction and I get so into the music that I don't really pay attention. Sometimes, I'll do 1-3 of her surge combos and then move on to something else. I like it and I don't want to get burned out

Diane Sue-
glad the move is going okay. I hope you get settled soon.

tonight is cardio for me, and I have some good DOMS in my butt :) I think I will do some step boxing and kick boxing.

TTYL-
Theresa

LOL! I hate when she sings. To me, it's really annoying. But I still think the workout will kick butt and I'm excited to try it out.

Lora---I don't read on here every day, but it seems you had an accident. That's crappy; is the surgery related to the accident? I hope all goes well and you get relief from the pain soon.

Debbie---yummy new recipes are fun! I haven't cooked anything new lately, but I just signed up on epicurious.com, which is free, so I'm hoping to get some good recipes for that.

Yesterday I did High Step Challenge but took out a couple bits in the interest of time and also due to losing a bit of motivation after tripping on a dumbbell and crashing on my booty. I do have slight doms in said booty, though, so that's cool. Later today I am going with my friend to climb the rock wall. I don't know how well I'll do as its been a while since I"ve gone and I wasn't so good at it to begin with. When I get home I"ll do some stretching/yoga stuff.

I just finished my workout. Cardio 55 min 535 calories. I feel kinda stuffy this afternoon but I think I did pretty good for the amount of motivation I had. I decided to try and follow Cathe's July rotation Butts and Guts, but I don't know...I start a new job in 2 weeks and my hours will be a bit different. I may go to one body part per day (in the a.m) and do 30 minutes of cardio in the evenings. My desire to do an hour of cardio at a time is very low right now.

Debbie-I did kickbox surge today and I noticed a lot more singing this time around :) Did she sing in IN THE RING?

Diane Sue & Hermia - I was rear-ended Sunday evening and have a bit of whiplash and aggravation to my pre-existing disc bulge issues. The surgery is because I had TTOTM for a month and went to the doctor. He did an ultrasound and said I have an abnormal report.....says it might be the early stages of cancer so I'm having a biopsy on the 16th. I'm anxiously awaiting my PAP test too to see if it also shows abnormal cells or whatever.

Theresa - no - have not been to the doctor yet. My surgery is the 16th and I'm spotting still with cramps. I'm trying to find out the results of my Pap test since I'm anxious, but it's not back yet.

See everyone tomorrow...........just got home from work.

Lora-I hope you get the best news possible....sorry to hear about your accident, as well. I hope you get a good break soon.

I got all of my cabinets child proofed today. DH bought me my own drill:) I can't find the staple gun now so the material I bought to cover the chairs my be sitting. I have doms in my glutes and legs today from yesterday.

Lora, I wouldn't worry too much about cancer till after everything is done. I have spent so much time over the last year worrying. I have had some skin cancers removed and know pretty much why each was there. I have had some bad sunburns at certain times in my life. So glad I have a daughter in dermatology. I also went through biopsy's etc.. Nothing came out of it as far as cancer. I have also had abnormal tests as well.

I hope back and shoulders have doms after today's workout. Tomorrow I will just hit cardio. I still need to get in chest, triceps and biceps to hit everything. Wanting to hit everything well.

Debbie, I have got the message that Amy likes the music. That is one of the things I like about her. I usually enjoy the music. I will say that one of my favorites is In the Ring as far as her music selection.

Ok, rock wall accomplished. I managed three times up, but the third time my arms were shaking and I slipped a couple times. When I came home I did a 20 min yoga with Sarah Ivanhoe. Does anyone have her Yoga on the Edge? If so, how is it?
