Morning Maniacs -

Getting ready to go do my cardio. I'm not sure if I'm doing all bike or part bike, part something else. Be back in a bit.
 
I ended up doing Cycle- All Terrain with Brooke Hayward again (and survived ...whew!!). I didn't stand for the entire time on the rolling hills section cuz I didn't want to put too much pressure on my foot (didn't wear my boot). I loved the Sprints at the beginning and got my heartrate up to 162...which is the highest I've been able to get it since I've had this cold settled into my chest and aggravating my asthma. Workout was 64 minutes and I burned 460 calories. I also did Baron Baptiste's Unlocking Athletic Power 30".

I have a job interview this morning at a company that does fire repair work. It's in a bad section of town......or as I call it....The Hood! Funny thing is ...is that it's right down the street from the High School I went to ....and it wasn't a bad section back then! I guess it's been a while, huh??

Suz - I don't know how the heck you ride outside in the sun. I know this Cycle DVD just about kills me cuz our basement doesn't get much air down there ....but our house is air conditioned and a small amount of air gets into the basement. Yikes....don't know how you do it girl! The seat hurts and my feet go numb too! Maybe I'm just not used to it. I wanted to know if you think Spinning is good at slimming the lower body down? We did do some parts with the resistance up high ....the rolling hills sections where you crank the resistance up and pedal standing up, etc. but we did a lot seated with lighter resistance too. I ordered a Spinervals too...what the heck am I asking for??

Felt weird this morning. As I was sitting on the couch trying to wake up I kept having major dizzy spells washing over me. Not sure if it's sinus related or what. No nausea, but the room was spinning. Very strange. I was fine when I did my workout. I'm wondering if my carbs are too low. I'm below 120 g. a day right now and I think you shouldn't go below 125 g. Maybe I'll raise them a bit and see if that helps.

Cardio day. I actually felt like doing cardio today which was good. I decided on Cardio Coach #3 and then did challenge #2 & #3 from Cardio Coach #2. I love mixing and matching these workouts.

Cardio stats:
60 minutes
50 minutes in zone
339 calories burned
3.4 miles travelled

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Cardio Coach today...#2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Housecleaning as well. Will have FIL's dogs again as he goes to John Hopkins. Will have to bathe them poodle funky smelling dogs though. Ugh!

No work tonight.

Sounds right, like you might not be getting enough carbs. I get the same way which reminds me..I need sweet potatoes. lol Out of them.

Well girl, get yourself a cow as the milk is going up in price and I know you probably drink your share of milk as I do. Lately going thru almost half gallon in one day since I omitted the protein bars from my diet. Then get a veggie garden next year and plant some fruit trees. Gotta do veggie garden here next year as one tomatoe cost over a buck. Silly, isn't it???

This morning I did PS strong legs and abs. Tonight will be cardio.
I've been following Cathe's 4 day split rotation. This is my 3rd week on the rotation seeing good results:) I'm kind of going backwards because I started with GS the S&H now PS.

Hey Maniacs! Back from vacation! Had a great time. Perfect weather. Walked every morning from 6 to 8 miles. Saw alot of otter and seal and even got to see some dolphins this time! We did some kayacking too, major upperbody workout that was! Loved it! Hung out in some kelp with about 15 otters in my kayack, then got yelled at for getting to close from some idiot. Geez, it's not like I was going to try to pet them. LOL!

So, what's happened since I've been gone? Anything exciting?

Gonna do MuscleMax today and try to adjust to this heat.

Char - Have fun with CC #2, have you done that one yet? I don't drink much milk. Actually, I only use skim milk for my decaf coffee. I really wish they'd make skim in a smaller size, a half gallon lasts me forever.

Randi - I'm feeling a little better. Still a little dazed.

Dallys - welcome back. Thanks for the link. I will check it out. I started reading Afterburn....and might start it after my vacation. I developed a stress fracture so I've been spinning. I'm actually starting to like it a little, I think. It's really hard and I get a good workout. Ordered some spinning DVDS. Previewing one right now that looks really good. Can't wait to try it. It sounds like you had fun. Good to have you back.

Deb -sorry you weren't feeling well. How exactly do you keep track of what percentage of carbs versus protein versus fat you eat in a day? I'm reading a book right now that's getting ready to go into macronutrients, etc. and I'm wondering how the heck you figure this stuff out?? I'm not very good at math or figuring.

Toasty -have fun with Cardio Coach. I'm entralled in my Spinning workouts right now. They are even harder than CC for me! I didn't think that was possible.

Just got back from my interview. I hope it went well. Job sounds good with good hours and half decent benefits. Not too far from home, but it is in The Hood.
 
Hi again. I finished Muscle Max. I think it's Cathes best total-body workout. She worked me good. I've been neglecting my stretches and abs and I could feel it today! Oy! I'm not following any rotation, but I'm thinking of doing one total-body, one upper, and one lower a week, with cardio on alternate days. Maybe some CC's. I miss my bike. Had to send my shock in to get fixed. Haven't heard if they recieved it yet. Hope it doesn't take to long.:( I know you bike lovers feel my pain.

Lora-Thanks! Sorry to hear about your stress fracture! I do spinning with my CC's and think it's harder than using my treadmill. Maybe because I have bad knees and am not much of a runner.

Deb - I don't have Excel.....geez it sounds so complicated. there has to be an easier way.

Dallys- I thought Cardio Coach was hard on the bike, but that one I did this morning was harder. My HR stayed between 85 to 90% or over almost the entire workout! I'm not used to it either...so that might be part of it, but for the first part ...45 second sprints...my HR climbed to 161 right off the bat. I couldn't believe it. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with it right now. I ordered a Spinervals and a couple other ones too. Do you have any besides Cardio Coach?

Charlotte - I'm getting all twitchy thinking about the possibility of a large BPAL update in the next few days!! Now if only I had a new job and a BPAL update to look forward to.....that would be better yet!
 
Hello. I am so sore today from yesterday. My abs especially. Can't believe it.

Lora- I really like Flyleaf too. I am really hope to go to that concert too. Def rock.

I finished my workout and went to the dentist to get my crowns put in finally. DD left after lunch. (The one that is pregnant} She had to have tacos. She loves my tacos for some reason. Won't cook meat herself but will eat it:) Workout this morning was Kelly Coffey's Step Box stopping at the abs, then I did I Max2 intervals 1-5, GS Back and Biceps premix, then Yoga Shatki lunge and inversions.

Lora, I have a program I use on my pda for putting in foods and it calculates the percentages for me. They have a computer version too

Debbie, I bet you do need some more good carbs. I have done that and just felt dizzy and kind of weird. It is hard to get the system back running right.

That is why I got to get some of my oils up on ebay (tomorrow?)so I can get some of the new stuff. My job only goes towards bills...I am gonna be el-broko for alittle while still. I hope she doesn't torture the hades out of us with too much of a good thing, and in ever category too. I know she said she was gonna update alot of the old stuff. I am hoping the voodoo oils will be updated and love potions, etc. Wonder if she will do anything with the twilight stuff. Curious.
