Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues Dec 19

Good afternoon,
Todays workout was Cardio Fusion Premix All Step cardio no str, then Amy's all pump Ex 3 day split premix Back, Biceps & Triceps, then I did the abs/core work on this and Butts & Guts Stability ball abs with resistance and the stretch. I had to take one of the puppies for shots this morning so had to quit sooner otherwise I would have done all of the upper body work. Yesterday I did Butts & Guts Leg Blast no str, then 4 sets each using the Bowflex 310# resistance calf raises and leg press 15 reps.. I followed with Cardio Coach # 5 on the treadmill and ran 5 1/4 miles, did Amy Bento's str. #1.

Lora, I will have to look up the Cardio Coach times. Most of the time I just keep going till I have and hour of cardio in after the w/up myself. On Butts and Guts stability ball abs I wear my 1# shoe weights and my weighted gloves throughout, when she does the ball rollouts I do it with the barbell, when doing the pulsing crunches I pick up a dumbbell, where they roll up with the ball and roll it over the knees I use a med ball but more skim more legs with it as I go up and over, on the left and hold upper arms extended and then legs I hold a light dumbbell over my head, the v sit balance gets enough from the weighted gloves and shoe weights:) I hope you dh settles down soon. Surely he realizes that that job is better than no job. I am sorry you are going through this.

I will try to get back later and finish reading and doing personals. I have to get some things done right quick and pick up my grandchildren.

Diane Sue - Thanks. I keep forgetting about the weighted gloves. I have to try mine and see if they work with my ball. Also, do you always use weights for your abs? I've done a few ab workouts lately with no weights because I read somewhere that you've got to change up and suprise them. So I've been doing some with weights, some without and trying to do a variety of exercises. I'm supposed to be adding Pilates in while I'm not working, but I get too caught up with everything else going on and haven't been doing my 2nd workout.

I was bad today and yesterday. I broke down and ate 3 christmas cookies yesterday and 3 christmas cookies today. I also had Pineapple pizza with no cheese today (2 slices) and salad for lunch. Not the best meal .......but I've been a bit depressed. I will try to get back on track tomorrow. I've got a long AM workout planned.
 
If I work abs 2-3 times a week I use weights. If I do extra days I have some that I do just as is. On Tracey Staehle's I do it with no weight most of the time. I think the main thing is to change what you do. I like to do some days that are mostly standing, some that require more balance work, and then some that are on the floor and more standard moves. Sometimes I like to do Turbo Jam ab jam standing work then Amy Bento's abs#1 that is a lot of standing together. Also it is the same as other workouts in that faster paced moves and slower paced moves can make a difference.

Man oh man busy day. They cancelled our snow warning and changed it to a BLIZZARD warning! They are saying 45 mph winds with 15 to 20 inches of snow and 5 foot drifts. Yikes! This is according to www.wunderground.com. Debbie, I live in Cheyenne, WY - about an hour and a half north of Denver. You know how it goes though - different weather sites say different things. This guy had someone at work (not that I'm working but I was talking to a gal there) checking that site b/c his dauhgther is flying into Denver tomorrow. He had her check the weather for Cheyenne and that's what it said. I had to check for myself b/c I couldn't believe it. We'll see. That's bad b/c winds that high with snow can be bad news for our power. And my birdies will freeze. Our fireplace is gas and will still come on but the wind blows it out. It can be tricky. We'll just keep trying. But maybe we'll keep our power this time. I just made a pot of turkey chili to plug in tomorrow morning so hopefully we'll keep our power. I always worry about all the doggies and kitties that people don't let in the house. Breaks my heart.

Still haven't done Plyo X. As soon as my dinner settles I will. I didn't eat much so that I could BRING IT soon. I'll do my workout early tomorrow in case we really do get this big storm and we really do lose our power later. Tony would miss me. :)

Sorry no personals today - except for the recommendation for more Christmas cookies to Jeanette. As if my posts aren't long enough!

I lost another pound!!!!!! Not sure how b/c my eating hasn't been the prettiest.

Hey ladies- I just completed DM scrambled cardio premix, plus B&G Bonus Stability abs and stretch, then 10 min of yoga. I was really dripping with sweat. That was a fun cardio. I didn't want to do the whole DM cuz my UB, mostly shoulders were sore from yesterday.
CRAZY day here with all the kids.

Great workout Meg. Don't you just love a good sweat! I just finished Plyo X. My abs are sore again. That's weird b/c last week they really weren't. I'm really loving this P90X stuff. :) Now I'm all showered and ready to stay up late since I get to sleep in past 5am. Woo hoo! I don't usually shower at night since my hair takes days to dry, but I stunk!
