Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did Seasun's Straight Up Step. I'm still a bit under the weather...so I had a little difficulty pushing hard today. I pushed as hard as I could comfortably and my HR only went in the low 140's. This DVD usually puts me in the high 140's or low 150's....so my body must be tired and I must be fighting something off. I still had fun. I love this DVD. I even like the music. It's not bad. It took me forever to learn those push steps and Indecisions she does. I still love goofy foot and spin your basic!! Fun workout.

Diana Sue -- Thanks for the advice. I don't know if I can add legs on my yoga day cuz I do yoga on Sundays after Kenpo X and I don't really want to spend 3 hours working out.

Charlotte - I listened to a lot of that Deftones this morning and while it's okay...I'm not really into it. I guess we have to have a few we disagree on. You don't like Shinedown and I do...so...oh well.. Thanks anyway for the CD and maybe the DH will like it. I liked hearing it though cuz I know Seether says they were influenced by Nirvana and the Deftones and now that I know what both of them sound like.....Seether's music does sound like both of those somewhat. Your pic's look great. I wish my legs were as lean as yours. My upper body looks similar to yours, but my lower body stores more fat than yours. (just read your emails -- that sounds like a bit too much work for me having a full time job -- I'll respond later - I went to bed a little early last night due to this cold).

Debbie - I know you'll have a good workout this morning as it's really cool here today. I'm actually cold.

Dallys - your doggie is very cute! and your birdy. I'm a huge cat person. I have 3 and have always had 3. My youngest was adopted about 2 years ago when I wasn't working (lost my job) so he's pretty spoiled since I was home with him when we first adopted him. He's a trip.

Megadoo - yes, I have a thing for Aromatherapy. I love my BPAL oils and I'm also a bit addicted to Lush bath/body stuff. I've always been into makeup/bath/body stuff. I guess I'm a true Libra ruled by Venus and tend to have the overindulgence trait that Libra's are known for.

Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check in from work later.

ETA: So did you ladies see my post about Kelly Coffey's new DVDs yesterday? Nobody else here have her first DVDs? I know Marietta used to like her. She's a great advanced instructor.

Today is my first day of school:D its only 6:30 here and I'm ganna do a few abs cuz I'm up but my real workout today is Biceps, triceps, and abs. No cardio today. Sux cuz I really like cardio but muscle builders do very very littlex(

Lora- Glad you didn't push hard while your sick. Take care girl, you rock;-)

Good morning, friends! Had a great aqua class last night with an entirely new tape, and came up with a new tuck-jump-with-a-twist move that will have to be added to The Notebook. Today I'll be lucky if I can get away to do a lunchtime power walk - hopefully yes but no tragedy if I can't.

Am seriously, seriously drooling for Drill Max, Body Max 2 and the Low Impact Circuit premixes! Also Butts and Gutts , but the first three are just floating in my brain like little sugarplums.

Lora- you too! I like SHinedown and Seether alot. I haven't heard much Deftones, but the bit I have has been alright. I am going to prive SUS now! You make it sound really fun.

This morning I did another full body workout. Only two weeks left to go but I've decided to keep going with it. I'm going to do another 8 weeks but do it pyramid style. Should be fun.

I did 2 sets/12 reps w/1 minute rest and super setted these exercises. This was VERY hard, I couldn't raise my weights except for on two exercises.

First off, I tried close grip overhand pullups. Was able to do 4 reps and that seemed quite easy so I was excited about that. Will work on that more in weeks to come.

SS #1
DB Pull Overs - 40# (12 reps/11 reps)
Flat DB Chest Press - 35's each hand (12/9 reps) KILLER!

SS #2
Overhead Shoulder Press - 20's each hand (12/10 reps)
Alternate Lunges - 60# (up from 55# last week) - 12 reps each leg

SS #3
Leg Extensions - 60#/65# (up from 55# last week)
Close Grip Lying Tricep Press - 60# (up from 55# last week)

This workout took me 32 minutes and I burned 141 calories. Then I did the treadmill for about 22 minutes. HR stayed around 138 and I was on the highest incline my TM can do. Love that! For the entire workout I was in my zone for 39 minutes and burned 306 calories.

Lora - I'm FREEZING this morning! Man, its really chilled up here but I love it!

Charlotte - get better soon. Takes lots and lots of Vitamin C!

Megan - I'm a Chili Peppers freak and Buckcherry and then after that I really like Seether, ShineDown, and Nickelback. I like a lot of the newer bands also. I used to be into Rolling Stones and Aerosmith when I was younger.

You are killing me with that chest work! That is crazy good!!!! WOW!!! I see you are constantly progressing in weights. So amazing! Great job!!!

Yesterday dd was at work (McD's) and her boss comes over when she is eating her soup I made her (chicken broth w/broccoli, pea pods and mushrooms) and says, "Egads, I wouldnt eat that to stay skinny like you..gross". Her boss workouts at the gym, but you would never guess by looking at her. Wonder why? She lives off McD's food. I told dd to ignore ignorance. lol. She doesn't have a clue.

I love Aerosmith! I pop that CD in frequently in the car. My son loves Dani California! I love it! He calls it our song! Have you seen the video for it, really good. ANthony is such a babe! I see we have a lot in common when it comes to music!
I always think of Charlotte when I hear Animal by Nickelback LOL!

Deb- you are amazing! I am SO doing a rotation like that after this one! It is incredible how consistantly you have upped you weight! Great job!

All of you are so inspiring.

You are so funny! Sounds like you got a mighty workout planned. Legs always leave you breathless, huh? I am gonna be outside mostly all day mowing and taking down fence around garden. Much good it has done this year with every friggin' animal coming over the fence eating everyone of my tomatoes. Can't make any salsa that way. Thank goodness for great neighbors who came over and gave me some of theirs. Well at least everything is green again. Was so brown before from lack of rain. Have a great day playing outside!

Yesterday was yoga X for me. It's so long, but it feels so good. :)
I missed my bike ride this morning as it looked like it might rain. I went to the store instead. I was so out of healthy food. I ordered Pizza last night!! Then I knew I'd finish off the leftovers if I didn't get some salad stuff soon.

My dog found a baby bat last night in the grass. I caught him and put him in a cottage cheese container over night. I thought for sure he'd be dead this morning. I kinda shook the container and he looked dead. Then I shook it again and he moved! I about jumped as high as Cathe in a tuck jump!! Anyhows I just threw him over the fence so the dog won't keep obsessing over him. He'll probably not make it, but at least he might find food on his own. I think his wing is messed up.

Lora, Hope you start feeling better. I like cats too, but haven't had one for a few years. I'm trying to keep my animals down to a couple. I used to have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 Mules, 2 ponies, etc. It's been heaven not having all that responsiblity for awhile. I also, like the Chili Peppers. I have the Deftones on my Ipod (white Pony) but haven't listened to it yet. Maybe on my next walk. Weren't they called the mighty mighty deftones?

Adri, Are you excited for school!!!! It's always fun the first day to see all your friends.

AQua, I have sugarplums floating in my head to about the new workouts. Cathe's doing a great job teasing us!

Toasty, hope you start feeling better today. Have fun taking the fence down.

Meg, Debs rotation looks like a good one doesn't it. I might do it after P90X too. :)


Diane Sue, did you follow the P90X nutrition plan? I'm trying to but I just suck at trying to get 50% protein. It's like torture. LOL!

Megadoo - I think Collage has SUS. You can view it (STraight Up Step) either there or on Seasun's Website. Seasunz.com (I think). I love that workout. It's my FUN workout. It took me a lot of practice to learn it (practiced every saturday for a while), but it's worth the effort. It's not as complex as her other ones though. I bought all of her stuff cuz I love her and now I'm working on Rock Steady Step ...more challenging. The Next Step is probably way over my head. I tried part of it one day and was dumbfounded. I guess that's why it's called the Next Step. Seasun is very likeable. I also have a Bosu Blast DVD by her that I love. (and yes, Anthony is a hottie - I've liked him for several years now. I actuall won a contest to meet the Chili Peppers once and I've met Aerosmith 5 times and have SEVERAL pics with all of them. Steven is a very warm and personable person. Anthony is much shyer than I thought he'd be.) Now I think Josh is giving Anthony a run for his money though in the hottie dept. He's a tattooed bad boy! -as you know).

Also, Diana Sue got SUS, but I don't hear her rave about it quite like me. I think my favorite all around non-weight workout is Eion Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness (quickie or bliss premix) followed by Seasun's SUS. I used to do that every Wednedsay prior to this rotation!! It was my midweek pick me up.

Speaking of rotations. If I make it thru the last 3 weeks of P90X...I'm going to do some variety for a while and then I'm planning on doing a Cathe Fat Loss and then one aimed at the legs and glutes...as I recently read JLo focuses a lot on that area and since I've been told I have a JLO butt (I don't think it's quite that big though), I better work it like JLO!! LOL

Dallys - sorry....you must have been posting when I was. Wow that's lots of animals. I'm an animal LOVER!!! I don't know what I'd do with my cats! So you like the Chili Peppers too. I'm going to see them in Cleveland on Halloween!!

I hate my computer. I just tried to post my whole thing here and it didn't post}( }( x( Anyway, school was GREAT today (amazingly) I'm in most of the classes w/ most of my friends!!! This should be an OK year.

Debbie- Geeez girl your such a maniac}( Keep it up! One question though. I've seen you post that you "super set" some of your w/o (like you did today) and just wanted to know what super setting is. Thanks Debbie!

Can you ladies tell I don't feel like workin' today? and my boss is in a meeting...but she'll be back soon.
 
Lora- We started today at 8 and ended at 10:45. The first day is to just meet our teachers, tour our other classes, get our new lockers and combos, and get the pile of paperwork for out parents. Tomorrow we go from 8:05-2:30. Normal half days are 8-12. Today was really just a meeting day.

Also, who cares about your boss. I think he's lucky to even have you working there;-)

Adri - Supersetting means doing two or more exercises back to back without a rest. Its hard.
