Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Thursday March 20

Chocolate Protein Pancake recipe:

4 egg whites
1/3 c. raw oats (I only use 1/4 c.)
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp. Nesquik low sugar powder
3 tbsp. low sugar raspberry preserves
dash of vanilla

Mix all this together in a blender or Magic Bullet and pour in a preheated skillet (medium heat). Let cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook another 2 minutes. Top with 2 tbsp. peanut butter or Power peanut butter.

Chocolate pancake macros only:

350 calories
3 g. fat
20 g. protein
60 g. carbs (this is why I cut the oats down to 1/4 c. - seems to make no difference)

I know I’m early but me :+ no have a computer at home, it’s broken so I won’t be able to chit chat with you guy till Monday, unless I visit my sister they all have computers.

Eatery:
2 Tbsp of liquid protein & 1/2 grapefruit (after workout)
M1: 1 shrimp/broccoli quiche w/1/2 of oatmeal
M2: 1 scoop whey protein w/ff soy milk, apple & string cheese
M3: 1/2c of turkey chili w/5 crackers
M4: bake chicken breast topped with spinach and sm yam
M5: ??????????????????????

Hey Maniacs,

I took a rest day today! Had an early doctor's appointment and had no desire to get up at 5:30am to work out. I'll do some cardio tomorrow and that will be it for the week. BTW< really excited, I went and purcahsed some arm slings today, can't wait to try them. I am so tired of doing traditional ab work!

Debbie - Hope your torment ends soon, but I am with you on the workout. If it doesn't happen in the morning for me it just doesn't happen! And don't seat the 42 you look terrific, better than almost all the 20 year old that I know!

Char - You should start Debbie's rotation next week, I start on Monday, then we could do it together.

Lisa - I'm here! Look I can even do 15 pullups yet, so forget about adding weight!

Ally - I agree I just got a Magic bullet about a month ago and I love that thing!

Lora - I like Sean better too! Picturing how he looks while you listen to him doesn't hurt! I also prefer his voice to Grace on the itread that I did.

Teddygirl - HIS is difficult, I got it finally, but now I haven't done it in so long I'd probably mess up! LOL!

Sandy - Good, I just want to make sure you are eating right! I've cleaned up my eating real good I just wish the weight would just start coming off! I am enjoying my week off, but I am also psyched to start again next week!


Am I the only one here that is anal enough to keep a dictionary by the computer? Not commenting on anyone's posting, just wondering how weird I AM! Does anyone else do this?

Also, I need some new workout clothes but don't have fortune to spend, anybody have any suggestions?

Dh is doing much better. His brother stabbed him in the back and wants everything from the estate..including every last screwdriver his dad owned and wants his dads clothes..we threw out. He is a wretched miserable soul and will look like a complete ass when we go to court. His aunt turned against him over the cremation, etc. So he pretty much just has me and the kids and that is the way he looks at it too.

Sometimes I work and sometimes I don't. Depends. So hard to get a job around here, and at the moment doing so much better even though economy is awful so not sweating it too much for now. I love staying home anyways. I love beautifying myself and beautifying myself!!! hehe. The life. Dh calls me this morning and tells me he is jealous cuz he asked me when I woke up. I said, 8am. hehe. No alarm clock for me. There is always plenty to do anyhow.

Your the second person to ask me this about rotation. GOSH, ya'll are tempting me. If I don't finish, I will feel weird. This is total body, right? I'll stew on it and let you all know. I WANT TO THOUGH! GOSH!!!!!!!!

Linda, I keep my PDA by the computer and use the Oxford dictionary I have in it all of the time. LOL Let us know how you like the arm slings.

Debbie, thanks for posting that recipe. I think I will play with it a little. Maybe up the cocoa and add splenda and get rid of the low sugar Nesquick. Also thinking that maybe spreadable fruit might help with the carbs.

Hi Ladies - finally home from work. Off until Monday ...yay!!

Toasty - You did good on the update. You don't buy the shirts? I bought the Steampunk tee with oil and I loved the goth look of Wormwood Moon's tee....so I bought it and Tiki Queen and Tiki King, as well as Beltane, Marae and April Fool....but I'm iffy on most of them. I'm also thinking about ordering Opuhi. I thought Tepo sounded good....but it depends how strong the booze notes are. I don't want a boozy perfume......maybe I can sniff yours when you get it?

Lisa- it still amazes me that you gained all that muscle and no fat. You must know what you're doing with your diet. I'm a classic ectomorph on top and it's very hard for me to gain muscle mass. I really have to work for it! Speaking of which....I'm confused on what approach to take with my workouts. As I said earlier, I'm trying to decide what to do next..as far as total body's, KBs, splits, etc. I'm still trying to lose weight...so I'm thinking along the lines of keeping up with total body and KB's and Circuits with a week of heavy splits thrown in for a shock every once and a while. Or....do you think my body is getting to used to all of the total body and circuits I've been doing and I need to switch it up? I can't afford to gain another freakin' pound. My jeans are snug and I'm not buying new ones. I'd love to lose 15 pounds ultimatley....but since I'm not sure that's possible......I'll shoot for 7-10......but I just can't go hungry and always end up eating too much. I get really grumpy when I'm hungry. I also don't think I'm drinking enough water cuz of my job and I'm not keeping my metabolism up by drinking......I suspect this cuz this is the 2nd bladder infection I've gotten since I started this job and it has to be from lack of water intake!

Linda - yes, I just love Sean. He's so motivating and I wouldn't mind him doing a DVD...so we could watch him ...LOL.

Diane Sue - that Immune Invigorator seems to work for me when I feel like I'm coming down with a cold mainly. The stomach pumping in Dawn works for intestinal issues. My cats go nuts and run all around when I do breath of fire. For some reason, whenever you make that noise around a cat - it riles them up. It's funny. They think I'm playing or something.

OMG these were freakin hard! Maybe because I did more reps???

These felt great, I've only done these once before. Loved the feeling it gave me really felt it in my back.

Quads
Plie Squats:
65# - 12
65# - 12
These felt good! Great variation from squats.

Biceps
Barbell Curls:
35# - 12
35# - 12
I felt like such a wimp with this weight, but I could barely finish the second set!!!

Hamstrings
SLDL's:
85# - 12/12
Oh yeah these hit the spot alright!

Shoulders
Lying FD Lateral Raise:
8# - 12/12
Hubby had to help me figure out how to do these, I wasn't sure as I've never done them this way.

Debbie - Are you staying in the same profession? I'm an Accounts Payable Asst. I would like to be closer to home so I could w/o earlier unless I can find a way to start doing this in the morings. Most of my w/o's are anywhere from 45 to 1 hour long. We'll see.

Linda - My eating wasn't so good today, I had 2 chocolate chip cookies! That's all I had, I've just got to get my water intake up!!!

Ally - They are going to extend the Light Rail on up past Charlotte into Huntersville and then I think it will do even better than it is right now. It doesn't benefit me, because it only goes so far.
