Morning Maniacs-

I'm off to do my Spinning I guess. My legs are toast and I'm really sick of spinning. Can't wait until I can do other forms of cardio. Be back in a bit.

Had a bad night when I got off work, got in a car reck:( The guy in front of me slammed on his breaks so I slammed on mine but it had just rained and the roads were pretty slick, to avoid hitting him I ended up driving into a ditch and hitting a fence. My car is totally messed up on the front end ripped off my bumber bent my axle so bad you cant drive it. Might have to get a new car not sure if it's worth fixing. I'm feeling fine, I cant believe I did Imax when I got home. I think it was just the adrenaline of what happend made me get through it:)
I've never been in a reck so I know I got whip blashed sp? So does the soreness come a few days later?
Today is B&G floor work premix or Bodymax will see:)

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Gotta finishing cleaning my house, workout and then go to FIL's house and mow most of the day. Got a girl that says she may come over to workout with me..we'll see if it happens. Her diet is still the same so I don't think she is real serious yet. Anyhow, gonna work chest/shoulders/abs on my own as I don't have much time.
 
I ended up doing Cardio Spin - interval workout. This is an older Spinning workout and is only 45" long and the intervals are all hill climbs (joy). I guess I chose the wrong one for having fried legs. I modified and did a few cadence drills in place of the standing climbs. Too much pressure on my foot and they are hard for me. I repeated part of the workout to make it 63". I'm not sure how many calories I burned, as my HRM lost the setting right in the middle of my workout....so I'm not sure....but in the last 23 minutes, I burned 165 calories....so I assume I burned around 400 calories.

My migraine is back for day 3. Just put Grr oil on my forehead and temples to try to get rid of it....but it's not working yet.

Have great workouts everyone. I'm going to eat breakfast and go grocery shopping in a bit.


Randi - so sorry to hear about your accident. I'm not sure if you can have delayed pain or not....but when I was in my accident, my pain was an immediate onset. I hope you don't end up getting any. If you do, you should get checked out right away so it can be treated and not get worse.

Randi, i feel for ya. The last wreck i was in a guy pulled out on me. I missed him and hit the guide rail.
My legs were shaking for days..

Thanks Diane Sue. Meeting with a contractor Fri for a proposal..I have already bought frames and stuff to decorate with.It is rollong slowly here..Gonna have to tell my landlord soon.

Tonite ig GS chest and tri and BSB..Doubling up. I am home alone tonite,DH is away..
No workout tomorrow due to after work meeting..

Good morning!

I didn't do last night's group ride due to the weather. So I ended up doing Spinerval's Enter the Red Zone (from Lora). It was pretty hard - 58 minutes long. I can't believe how high those women's HR's are. Much higher than mine and mine usually beats all! Brenda's was in the upper 180's and lower 190's. Mine will still get like that cycling outside every now and then or on doing CC on the elliptical, but not usually on the bike inside. And then it drops really fast on the rests and some of theirs weren't. It's still consistently higher than everybody I ride with (usually stays in the 170's) but it has gotten better. Anyway it was weird to have a much lower HR than most of them, yet to be working so hard. :)

Lora - Thanks again for that great workout! I did stay on the bike during the squats, just b/c I only want to "work" my legs once a week right now. I just did a fast spin, keeping my HR up. You need to watch that foot woman! You shouldn't be doing any standing on your bike right now. I'm sorry about your migraine. Maybe you should go to the doctor and get something?

Randi - YIKES!!! I'm glad you're okay. I do think that you can get sore later - like neck pain and stuff. You might want to go to the doctor just to be sure your insurance covers it...being from your accident in case you hurt something. Look at me, you'd think I work for the medical industry today - pushing everbody to go to the doctor.

Char - Sounds like you have a busy day planned. Hope that girl shows up.

Gotta have a cat scan today on my brain. What if they don't find one? Then what? :p

I'm off to do an hour spin on the bike in the basement. It rained hard last night for a long time so the roads are soaked. DH had training and got home late so I'm reeeeeeally tired. He got hit in the mouth with some kind of fake bullet during training at a high school. The kids thought it was pretty funny. :) It looks gross! Hopefully I'll have more energy for weights when I get home.

Suz - isn't that the workout he pushes your HR to 100% of your max? I can't get mine to 100%. I think the highest I can get mine is 92-95%. I guess I need to practice. Do you think I'll ever get used to the Standing Climbs? They are so hard for me, as is the high resistance strength intervals. I feel like a wimp....certainly not hardcore!! LOL. I don't want my butt or legs to get big either.....those strength intervals won't do that, will they?

Toasty - I just heard a BRAND NEW SEETHER song from an album released in 2007.........must be coming out soon!! YAY...new Seether coming soon.
 
Good Morning, I turned my alarm off this morning and slept an extra 30 minutes, got up and rushed to get started. I did Seasun's bosu blast stopping at the abs, fixed breakfast for dh and was ready for grandchildren to come. Both my dil and dd called this morning to say they are taking them to school. I pick up. So I will go back and do the abs and add some more, then do some yoga/stretching. Got to get out and run errands. I got an e mail back from Deep Discount. I was impressed because they refunded my shipping charges. I had ordered the Pit and my foam roller workout on overnight shipping Thursday am and it came on Tuesday.

Suz, hope everything is fine when you get the CAT scan.

Randi, sorry you had a car accident. They can really scare you. Hope you do not have whiplash. I would think you would feel it this morning if you did.

Anne, that is a long workout. I have done it but usually end up using the timesavers together to get it all in.

Lora, sorry that Migraine is still there. I haven't had any luck with the grr. I even tried putting it in a diffuser in the bedroom when I went to bed and it didn't help.

Charlotte, good luck with getting all the mowing and work done.

This morning was cardio so I chose the Cardio Coach Press Play workout. LOVE this workout and I did very well with it. Hit 4 miles and I don't think I've done that as of yet.

Morning Maniacs! I had a great TT workout today! Felt really good.:)

Body weight warm up- 3 rounds of each superset with 1 min. rest after each superset

DB Romainian DL-[font color= blue]30's first set, upped to 35's 2nd and 3rd set[/font]
DB incline press--[font color= blue]25's tried to do 30's but left arm said, sorry ain't happnin today".[/font]

Pullups-8/7/7 -[font color= blue]all assisted-need to build these back up![/font]
DB bulgarians squats--[font color= blue]25's These are a #%&*@%%!!!!![/font]

Finished with a -[font color= blue]grueling 16 min. HIIT on treadmill[/font] and then did-[font color= blue] 6 min. abs from SS.[/font/

Workout was 50 min. includeing a stretch on my own.

Randi- YIKES!(like Suz said!) Glad you are ok!

Lora- Sorry about your headache and STAY OFF THAT FOOT...NO STANDING ON THOSE PEDALS!

Toasty- If I were you, I'd have my son and daughter help mow that big lawn and help clean and all that... You need help girl, you shouldn't have to do it all alone! But, then that's just me and I'm not as nice as you are.:) I hope that girl comes to workout with you. That could be fun!

Anne- It's going to be fun for us seeing this salon being built from the ground up! I bet you are excited, even if it's stressful.

Suz- I hope they find a brain in there! I'm sure mine would be hard to find. lOL! You are sending everyone to the Drs. and I'm being MOM to everyone today.:p

I went back and did SJP step to warm up, then did Bosy Blast core. I saw this core workout on Cox Cable Free Zone the other day. Then I did the abs from the Pit workout, not as fast and tough as I expected from previewing. He takes breaks every couple of minutes. I did like the v sit thing where legs move in and out while you are doing a rowing move. Total abs on the Pit was 9 minutes, then I did Butts and Guts abs adding some more weights on the crunches,finished with Eoin Finn's yoga quickie and some foam roller stretches.

This morning I did KP&C's cardio (I LOVE this workout - every time I do it, I forget how much fun it is!), then MTV yoga, then went back and did KP&C's abs and stretch.

Randi- I'm so sorry. Car wrecks (I won't admit how many I've been in) stink!! I hope you're okay.

Lora- What's with the three day headache? Please take care of yourself and feel better.

Toasty- Wow, mowing (to me) is a workout in itself! Drink lots of water!!

Anne- Here's to smooth sailing re the construction project!!!

Suz- No brain, no headache (this is what my brother says to me all the time).

Diane Sue- is the BOSU workout to which you're referring the one on a DVD called "Double Cardio"? If so, how is it? I just received this in a trade but haven't tried it yet.

Guess What??? I got a job this morning. I'm starting on Monday. I'll be working for a Dermatology practice in the Lab typing Path reports.......160 plus a day!! Yikes.....not sure I'm ready for this or that I can even do it. So much for my shoulder pain.......as it's about to get severe. Last time I did transcription it was rough on me cuz of my injury. I feel blessed to get a job....yet I'm very nervous and it will be an adjustment going back after such a long break. I've got lots to do around here to prepare. I'll also be able to use those Navy Scrubs .....cuz they wear uniforms and you're allowed any color! YAY!! I hope I can get my lazy butt out of bed on Monday and HEAR the alarm!! .......but I'll probably never be able to fall asleep!
 
Just have a quick second to pop in but wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS LORA!!!!!!! Way to go!!! You'll do great because you're determined.

Lora- Congratulations on getting the job!!

Dallys- I currently work for the Medical University of S.C. in Guest Services for the intensive care units. I currently work evenings and would rather work days. I'm sure I'll stay at the hospital...just trying to find something more administrative as opposed to 'handling emotions'. One of my interviews today was for an administrative position for one of our plastic surgeons....I'm hoping the interview went well....Interviews are tough...it's one shot at making a good impression!;)
 
Lunch time for me. Thinking turkey sandwich. I have a dentist appt. in a couple of hrs. They have a new Hygenist and she is REAL thourough! She takes a long time and my gums hurt for days after, yet she is extremely gentle while she cleans. My dd has got a new puppy (so, I'm a Grandma...kinda) She got one of those Chinese Chrested's. I will see her this weekend. I saw pictures and she looks adorable! Bald, but adorable! LOL!

Lora- Hallelujah!!! I hope this will be a good job for you!:)

Lisa-I hope you end up getting the admistrative job! Crossing fingers.:)

Hey Maniacs!!!

My friend from work came over and we worked out. Did ab ripper x. She could only do some of it which is expected upon first try. Then we worked chest doing flyes at different angles, some pushups, pullups, etc. Then onto shoulders..did overhead presses and lateral raises. She was really getting into it. Made us a protein shake afterwards then went over FIL's. Did not get to mow. Sooooo busy weeding. He has the friggin' rain forest in his driveway. My hands hurt and just going to get more weed killer. Some of the weeds are so big that I thought it would be better to pull them up, but not easy to grab it all. Very hot today and I just decided to call it a day and will get over there early tomorrow and start before I go to work. I have off Saturday. I don't like to ask anyone for help. I don't always like the way others do things either so I just do it cuz then I will be happy it is done the way I want it done. lol.
