Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Thurs Dec 7

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Body Max 2 Cardio Premix for about 50 minutes. I used my lower step - partly cuz I didn't feel like dragging my higher one upstairs and partly cuz my low back has been really tight and hurting a bit. I was never on the right foot and got a bit lost in places. The music was just so/so.....I'm still not feelin' the love for the music on this new set. I also don't think these step routines have the fun factor of Imax 3 or Step Blast....for me at least. My legs feel a bit fatigued today, so my HR stayed a bit lower today....140's and 150's. I burned 330 calories.

Have great days everyone. I'll try to check in from work later. We have lots of snow moving our way. It's supposed to snow today and tonight. Yuk!
 
Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I did Shoulders/Arms and then Ab Ripper X before Biggest Loser. I also used a 12# db for the mason twist and did 50. I sweat alot during that workout even though it is only 16 mins.

Today is Yoga X. Aunt Flo is here too so I think this might be a good day for Yoga.

I think there is a 30% chance of snow here. Doesn't feel cold enough though TO snow now.
I don't care for Cathe's music either. Too 80ish for me.

Oh - I meant to mention that yesterday, on my way home from work - I saw a guy walking a Camel down a busy road and did a double take -- then I remembered that there's a Church down the road that does a live Nativity Scene every year. I guess they were bringing the Camel in for the Season. It was funny to be driving down this main road with lots of doctors offices/banks, etc and seeing a camel and man strolling slowly down the sidewalk. :+

Oh and it's officially snowing here!!

Toasty - I forwarded the BPAL newsletter to you last night and responded to you from home. Feel free to email me at work today. Our system is working again. (I think you should buy a bottle of Spanked off of Ebay just so you can tell people what your wearing! I would love to say I was wearing it - plus I want to try it too).
 
Today is my rest day and I need one. It was nice to sleep in. Woke up to about 2" of snow and its still coming down. Its so pretty out there!

Morning Maniacs:

Today was 90 minutes of YogaX. Have to admit I like Eoin and Shiva better but hey, I need to work on my flexibility for sure. 90 minutes is tough for me on a work day. I started my workout at 3:00 a.m., instead of 3:30. Tomorrow is day off from work so I can catch a few more z's. Not as hungry yesterday and today so far. Guess my body is getting used to the more protein diet?

Lora, bet you took a double take seeing the Camel. That's too funny! We have a little snow coming Friday/Saturday too. We're supposed to go out and cut Christmas trees with family on Saturday. Hope the weather is not too bad.

Charlotte, 12# DB for the mason twists:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: !! Girl, I bow to your strength. You are one very, very strong woman! I think AbX is a very good ab workout. Gets me much better than tons of crunches. My hip flexors feel better today. Hope Aunt Flo doesn't get in your way much today. Don't have time for that garbage. Thank goodness, I really don't have much discomfort and short periods. Maybe in a few years, I'll be done with this business. So far, not really any changes and can still set a clock by it. Thanks for the comment on my pictures. I will trade you legs and butt, okay, even at you very worst. Some of us just have problem areas that are genetic, not that they can't be improved, but just out of proportion from our ideal. I'm okay with that but still will keep trying to improve.

What weight exercises would make your traps spasm? I've got horrid trapezius spasms and I don't know what caused it. I lifted yesterday, but nothing over the head (like usual). Anyone??

Deadlifts, upright rows? Maybe front lateral raises.

I will email you back. I got my breakfast cooking right now..bacon, eggs and lite wheat toast. Yesterday I had protein pancakes.

Wearing Trick 1 today. Oh gosh, it is so sexy! Love it!

I Had to take ibuprofen this morning for DOMS.

Meg...the weight you've been throwing around is pretty amazing! I'm very impressed.

Morning Maniacs! I did GS BSB today. Very frustrated with my workout. I miss Tony's style. I only went higher than Cathe on the double DB rows did 25# and went 2 lbs higher on BB curls. I can lift quite abit heavier with Tony. I just need more rest or there is no way I can lift what I really can. I also don't like the straight sets on one muscle group. I just feel bumned. I know I need to get used to it, but I'm really leaning towards workouts with a decent rest period. That's what makes a workout motivating, being able to up your weights. With Cathes style *as is* I don't know if I could go heavier, at least not as fast as I'd like too. Enough of that! I'll get over it and keep at it for the month.

Lora- I'm in shock! I can't believe this about your job. I know you were concerned. Maybe this will end up being for the best. You'll find another job and they will appreciate you and you'll love to go to work. I know that sounds dumb right now, just remember, we'll be here for you. (((hugs))))!

Meg-Killer workout yestereday. Are you working out on your own? Out of a book? What? What? LOL! Inquirey minds want to know!

Dallys- no, it was just my own thing. I was watching TV, well sort of, and DH wasn't here. It took me liek 1.5, cuz I actually took a few rests. I just did what ever I felt like. Iusually don't do that cuz I loseinterest or something, but it was really nice last night. The legs too. May have to do it more often.
DOn't worry, you will reach your goals. Don't be discouraged.

Char- got some nice DOms in my back and shoulders today. Haven't had back DOMS like this, in like, forever!

Lora - first of all I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sure you're in shock right now. I wish I knew what to say to help. Just know we're all here for you.

Well, I brought it last night - shoulders and arms (did ab ripper yesterday am). Good workout for sure. This morning I woke up at 4 with that stinkin' migraine. Took Imitrex. Got up at 5:50. Went down to the basement. Thought I "brought it" with me. Looked around. Couldn't find "it". Went back upstairs. "It" was in bed. Decided to let "it" sleep b/c the Imitrex makes "it" tired. Figured I'd BRING IT back downstairs tonight after work. I hate that b/c there goes the night when I have 92 minutes of yoga after work. My house is starting to suffer! And my doubles are not working out. Okay, so it's only 2 days now, but still. I should take another Imitrex but I'm afraid I'll fall asleep at my desk. I wonder how my boss would feel about that. Hmmm... Maybe the yoga will help make it go away once and for all.

Thanks everyone - the saddest thing for me is that I actually really like the people I work with and my boss and I have been getting along really well. I also was just here a year and I'm really starting to get used to my job and know it better..........only for this to happen. I know you ladies think I'm nuts.....but I really do like my boss ........even with her "issues". We understand and like each other.

I don't think I can make it thru this again. I really feel like I'm going to break this time.........can't keep going thru this!
 
Lora - you're a very strong person. You WILL make it through this. You've made it through MUCH TOUGHER things than this (think recovery!!!). Hang in there. 2007 will be your year. Don't give up.
