Morning Maniacs - ugh.....had this long post typed and lost my IP connection!

This morning I did Amy's In the Ring. Workout was 54" and I only burned 417 calories. Amy frustrates me!! There is a definite learning curve for this workout. My HR hardly elevated until well into the workout and then it was only moderate (I would normally be mad about not having a good workout, but I've been battling a slight stomach flu for a week now and I guess a couple of easier days might be good for me). I was always one step or one punch behind her and on the wrong side! The med-ball segments were short but fun.

This DVD had a bit too much impact for supposedly being "low impact". Since when is jogging, jumping jacks and jump kicks low impact? I'm sure I'll enjoy modifying on my Rebounder also, as I'm always able to do Kickboxing on the Rebounder and make it more intense. My metatarsal's hurting a bit and I definitely don't want another stress fracture....so I must watch the impact. I started writing it down in my Workout journal so I can keep track of how much I do each week with regards to impact.

Diane Sue - I just bought Aromaleighs new Lip stick and it's really nice. I've been getting away from traditional lipstick and wearing their tinted balms in Limbo and SMitten and lip glosses and the colour infusion lipstick has a really nice balm like...light texture. I need to get a couple more. Feels good on the lips.

Meg - good to hear from you! NOW KEEP checking in Girl!!! I've missed you. That article I read was in an older magazine the other day....not a recent one. I'm a bit behind in my reading.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Well I am feeling alittle down today. My weight is back up. WTH????? I got to go to fitday and see for sure if I am on track with cals. I had mostly all lean protein yesterday and been working my ass off! I get off elliptical and my hubby says it looks like I gained 5 pounds. He wasn't trying to be mean, but says he would think I would want to know. Either way, it hurt to hear it as my weight is not moving much and I am stuck with fat. The weather here sucks for bike rides lately, but I am still gonna go on one today, I will just dress for it and wear my gloves. I think I will do 18, but go at faster pace...12 mph.
 
Well I just went over to fitday to make sure my calories are right, and they are so I don't know WTH?

If I eat everything below, I will be at 1912 cals for the day which is where I am suppose to be for my weight. I actually fell slightly below that yesterday cuz I didn't have my eggs so falling below is not working for me, I guess????

Meal 1: Kelloggs Protein Plus Cereal with yogurt
Meal 2: Tuna Fish
Meal 3: Medium Chicken Breast and 2 cups broccoli
Meal 4: Protein Shake and 3 jumbo eggs
Meal 5: Medium Chicken Breast

If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to respond. Should I have a meal 6 or not..take away something like only have 1 cup broccoli and minus out 1 egg to have water protein shake in evening???
 
Woke up with a sore throat, congestion in my throat and a runny nose. DAMN! I figured I might be catching something because I've been sneezing all week. However, I don't feel "sick", I feel fine. So I did my cardio and did well. Other then the stupid rawness on the back of my ankle, I was able to do the entire workout. I chose Cardio Coach #3 which is only 35 minutes so I stayed on my treadmill for another 10 minutes doing steady state.

Then I did the ab work from Kick, Punch & Crunch. Love that ab work!

Today is 4DS legs and S&H legs and abs not sure which one. I am so nautious and bloated I wish I would just start!
Debbie that sucks you have all that crud! Awesome workout for having a hurt ankle!

Good morning:D

Yesterday, I left work 40 minutes early :p couldn’t take it any more. I got home decided to take a hot bubble bath, that’s all I remember. I took meds and laid across my bed, woke up in my clothes 3 hours later. Got up turn lights, let water out of my tub took my clothes off and in the bed I went. I feel a little better today.

This morning,I did 20 min jog then GS legs (standing) I wasn’t able go as heavy as I usually do, I did the workout as produced. I don’t feel wiped out getting stronger.

Debbie: hope you are not coming down with anything. CC #3 is my favorite, nice job.

Char: give it a couple more days continue eating right and the weigh will fall out.

Lora: I have mixed emotion, regarding In the Ring I probably just need to do the workout.
 
Morning Maniacs!

I started posting here a couple of months ago but am ashamed to admit I just slacked off. I have been staying in touch with Charlotte and I know how highly she thinks of you all so I figured it was time to get my butt back over here :p

Just to quickly re-introduce myself...my name is Coni and I live in Virginia with my husband and about a jillion cats but we like to think that we are NOT crazy cat people lol! I discovered Cathe workouts a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. Right now I am in week 4 of a P90X doubles rotation.

A bit rushed right now but I will write more later--I'm really looking forward to checking in with you guys again:)

Lora-I am having the exact same issues with Amy's new workouts! The learning curve for me is pretty steep but I keep telling myself that it will be worth it when I finally do get it:p I hope you feel better soon!

Charlotte- I wish I could go on that ride with you! I would wait until tomorrow when its supposed to be about 20 degrees warmer but I am HUGE baby about being cold. I know this weight thing is really stressing you out but honestly when I saw you on Tuesday I thought you looked great. Still, I know the feeling of wanting to launch the scale out of the nearest window hen it won't budge. With everything you're doing I bet it will be back down in no time.

Good morning! Well, it would be a good morning if the scale cooperated, but whatever...work harder!
Gonna check out Fitday and buckle down. Very tired this morning. Didn't get home from work till 12, and then didn't get to bed till after 1. Can't just walk in the door and go to bed. I need to unwind some. Alarm goes off at 7. Gotta get Chase ready for school.
I should do an IMAX today,, prob imax 3. I am not too sore, so I will go for it. Talk about fat burner huh?!

Deb-really hope you feel better. I have had a cold that has hung on for 3 weeks now. Saw doc last week and he said it is because I have not taken care of myself in months, so I can't shake it. Still have it even after round of antibiotics. That was another push for me to get my ass in gear.

Char- emailed ya back. All I gotta say is I HEAR YA!!!

Lora- I missed you alot too. Good to hear you are working and your foot has healed. I will stick around. Got my mind back into it this time.

Coni- nice to meet you. I might hit you up on myspace! Your pic looks beautiful!

Char - EXCELLENT workout yesterday! Wow girl, you blew me away with the bicep work. And don't sweat the last exercise. I had to go down with weight on that one too because I was fried!!! 80# curls. Good God woman!

About your eats. It looks like you are eating well. Calories seem a bit high to me, though. I usually eat between 1600-1800 even when I'm bulking and I think I'm taller then you are (5'5"). Maybe cut down on the calories about 200? Just a thought. You really shouldn't be gaining with what I see you doing. The foods you eat look good. And this is just a pet peave of mine, but I hate when your dh says you look like you've gained weight. I know he likes to be honest with you, but I quite frankly can't see how anyone can see 5# on you. Sorry if I offended you, just my thoughts. Hugs!!!!

I am 5'7 1/2" tall. No girl, you didn't offend me. NOT AT ALL! Well I think I was in that range of 1600-1800 yesterday and gained weight. I dunno. I just don't get it. I should have never messed myself up and gained the weight in the first place..so damn hard to get back down now, at least for me. Hubby says it is age, but we know that ain't right. Many women here older then me and can get bodyfat down low if you work hard enough.

And yeah, my arms are very sore today so I know I really worked it good even though I had to go down in weight at the end of the workout.

Good Morning, I started my day with Tracey Staehle's Walking Strong and kept at it a little longer to get in 4 miles. I wore the hr strap today to see how I did. I averaged between 140 and 155 bpm. A couple of times I got in the 160 range but I was at full 12 incline and had increased my speed beyond Tracey's. I want to do yoga in a bit. I had to take the granddaughters to school and I bought home my new Grandbaby to watch today since my dd went on a field trip w/ her son.

Lora, I have not tried the new lipstick yet. I will order some when I place my next order. I had to check and see how much I had left in the other tubes. Most of my light to mid range shades are almost gone so I don't have to rationalize the expenditure LOL I have limbo and smitten too. I like those. My dd wants to get the limbo one.

Charlotte, usually when you switch to a mostly high protein diet it takes a few days to have weight loss start. You could be holding some water in the tissues from yesterdays heavy workout too. I have been going heavy the last couple of weeks and been eating huge amounts of food. Almost makes me afraid to stand on the scale LOL
I like that Kellogs Special K protein cereal but I think it has some junk in it. Besides when I buy it I tend to eat half a box in one sitting. Charlotte, you are not over weight! Relax, you will get where you want to be.

Charlotte - You look great! I know the weight sucks, do like Debbie says and maybe cut back about 200 calories. HA! Listen to me, I'm in the same boat as you but need to lose a lot more than you! I know whether it's 2-3 or 10 lbs it's all freakin hard to lose. Seriously though I do think your's could be muscle and be proud of that cuz you've been working hard baby!
 
Toasty Char - I do believe you need some carbs, especially if you are doing 35 mile bike rides. Carbs are fuel. Maybe cut back some protein and some carb in - like wrap your tuna up in romaine lettuce leaves - try an oatmeal mix like Debbie does with the protein mix. If you completely cut out carbs, when you reintroduce them you will have a hard time keeping the weight down.

I don't really look at the scales anymore. I have only dropped about 1 or 2 lbs but I have dropped a pants size, so that is cool with me.

You need your energy to fuel the workouts. Also, getting quality sleep is important.

Char - I can't believe how you are sweating this when you look so darn good! You are a machine! Give yourself a break - take a bubble bath, get a massage - have some herbal tea, watch a girl movie!

I could not get of bed this morning, so I am going to try to get the workout in this afternoon.

I am doing the day 3 of the 8 week program and I will probrbaly add cario X or Plyos.
