Morning Maniacs -

Off to do some cardio, Kundalini Yoga and maybe a Lotte Berk Blast or Bar Method. Be back in a bit.

Diane Sue - the coreography is not so complex in the first 1/2 hour and the second 1/2 hour - it is more complex. It's not really that it's too complex to learn, but she does no breakdown whatsoever. I have a hard time doing step like that. The other instructors that I have an easier time learning from are the ones (like Rebecca Small) who use the layering system. This means they start with very basic coreography and keep making it more complex in layers until you are eventually doing a very complex step......and this way if you get lost along the way, you can still always stick with the layer you were comfortable with before you got lost. With Tracey's....I'm sure the more you do it, the easier it would get. There are a lot of turns in it.

Michelle - yes, I usually have to break to eat something small when I'm working out for a long period. I get famished at times.

Today its just a straight run for me and abs. DS had his shots yesterday so I was a little uncertain about going to baby group today but he was good last night and I still don't know if I want to go! LOL If I do, I have to get off of my backside and get my run done!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Didn't workout yesterday. It was just one of those days that had led me off into another direction. I got the basement finished so one less thing so I can concentrate on my workouts NOW!!!!!!! Faxing documents for the past 2 weeks and always need another document and driving my son back and forth to school, work, etc. Hasn't let up. Today will be better. I am not answering the phone. lol.

So today is biceps/triceps/abs.

I was thinking more about the Blue Moon. If it is light wearing, I wouldn't want it anyways, but just so broke right now..probably good thing.

My workout is complete:) I did a 5 mile run and abs...and now I am starving! Gotta get a shower and then some grub!

Charlotte, atleast you can concentrate on your workouts now! DH gets mad at me b/c I don't answer the phone when I am working out...FORGET IT! I have been caught to many times on the phone and letting my HR drop, not doing it anymore:)

Good Morning, today is M&F rotation legs and calves. I will do a step workout as well. I have lots to do today. I am keeping 3 of my grandchildren late so they will be here for dinner.

Lora, thanks for the info on the Tracey step. The thing is I still do not have some of the ones I have down yet. Maybe I need to do that first. I did part of the Sweatfest hi lo one the other day and am going to have to work on that one.

This morning ends my 12 week program from M&F. Did shoulders and traps using the 5/5 count, 3 sets/5 reps, 2 min. rest. This is what I did:

Shoulders:
Barbell Press: 50# - 3 sets/5 reps
Wide Grip Upright Row: 45# - 3 sets/5 reps
Lateral Raise: 15's - 1 set/5 reps (way too heavy, my form really suffered); 12's - 2 sets/5 reps (much better)

Traps:
Barbell Shrugs: 105# - 3 sets/5 reps
Dumbbell Shrugs: 40's - 3 sets/8 reps

***I hate shoulder work!

Abs:
Step, Jump & Pump ab work

Workout was exactly one hour. I'm off now until Saturday and then I start the Superset rotation for 4 weeks. I can't wait!!!

HI LADIES:)
I'm very sore from B&G overall leg premix from yesterday. When she repeats the ankle weight leg lifts I about died! Today is MM upperbody.
I decided to buy SS/pp dvd today. I've been wanting that one for so long. I heard the premixs are really good too.

Well, i have been really buisy and am havind a complication. I may be heading back for surg. I have developed a minor Double bubble on my lefty. I have been really stressed. I just got back to normal...
I could cry. Told the DH, if i have to go through his and pay for anestesia,and OR, i am getting my eyes done at the same time...
Told DH. Only you can see it , but it bothers me...
I could smoke a great big cigarette right now...

Well, tonite is back and chest. I may got to the gym. I packed my bag.

Hey Maniacs! Might take a rest day today. I'm beat from my ride yesterday. We'll see how I feel later. I really should do some yoga or something, but not in the mood. It's raining here, but not to cold.

Anne-That totally sucks! No smoking! That will just make you more unhappy. Keep us posted on what you decide to do.

Debbie- Enjoy your rest days. So fun to finish a rotation isn't it? You did great on the BB press. My rotation has the BB push press, where you squat and then press and go all the way up on the toes. It's tough. I can't imagine doing it with 50#.

Char- You are now a basement worker-outer! Looks like you have alot of room down there. The house is looking great. Your floors are so pretty and I love the leather furniture.

Michelle- Glad you got your run in.

Randi-You'll love the SS/PP dvd. It does have some great premixes.

Today I did KPC followed by Cardio Kicks 2end section, I love the arm drills!:) Did not have as much energy as i wanted though,the cold finally caught up to me,hope it passes quick!

I ended up doing Cardio Coach 3 on the Treadmill, Bike & Elipitical followed by Intervals from CIA Absolute Kickboxing w/ Kimberly Spreen. Cardio with cooldoown and stretch was 1 hour and 30 minutes and I burned 550 calories. I then did 2 Lotte Berk Blasts 20" and Ravi & Ana's Dancin' the Chakras - yogas sets only - 30".

Toasty - I thought you got Blue Moon already?? I'm wearing Milk Moon today. I love this new version of Milk Moon.

Gotta run ......must do the grocery shopping.

I finished my workout. I did BodyMAx 2 scrambled eggs and the M&F rotation. I had to stop in the middle of it to answer the phone. My dil wanted to bring my grandson 9 over. He has a rash and the dr thinks it is poison oak. That slowed me down. I started the morning with a headache and it took work to get up and going. I am tired.
My grandson suggested I make spaghetti for dinner. He loves it when I make spaghetti:)
M&F rotation
Squat Bowflex 200# 10 reps 2 sets
leg press Bowflex 310# 20 reps 2 sets
leg extension bowflex 200# 8 reps plus 2 reps negatives 1 set
lying leg curl Bowflex 100# 10 reps 1 set
standing calf raise 35# dumbbells 15 reps dropped to25# 2 sets
seated calf raise 90# 20reps, dropped to 75# 20 reps more 2 sets
leg press calf raise bowflex 310# 20reps dropped to 300#20 more 2set

Debbie, I messed up this week. I did not notice the dropsets:( How I missed that I don't know. I guess I know tomorrow. I didn't notice today till I was past the squats. It was tempting to go back and do them again. I did get a little leg work in with the Body Max2 scrambled eggs.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear that you are having complications. You have been really getting back into your routines. Have you talked to your surgeon about it?

Charlotte, your house looks so nice. I love the kitchen. I picked the one we have because of the large kitchen and breakfast bar. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It looks like you will have a nice set up for your workout room.

Michelle, I bet Tracey's step will be complex. I am fine with the Kickbox though. Her Hi Lo seems like after awhile I could get it. She seems to do a fairly good job of breaking it down. I ahven't done all of it yet though.
