Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for the Month of July

Once again, I got up to workout and fell asleep on my couch. I hate this getting up so early to workout anymore. I just can't do it five days a week. Makes me so mad. I go to bed early enough - 9:30 - but it still doesn't seem to be enough time. Very frustrated right now.

Roselyn - Have fun! It is hot now. Figures, when summer is over it finally get hot. Weird!
 
Yesterday I did P90X3 Pilates and Yoga.
Today I did X Train Chest, Back and Shoulders and Chalean Piyo Core. My workout was 82 minutes. I ordered some Rehand 7751 Knee Suppports in Pink which will be here Tomorrow. Hopefully they help a bit with the knees. I bought two even though it is the left knee that gives me problems.

Debbie. rest is good :) I know it is frustrating. I think our bodies are just set for there own times and needs and we constantly fight them.

Roselyn, enjoy your trip. Hopefully the heat is not too unbearable. It is extremely hot here too.
 
Today I did Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders and had a great workout.

This is what I did:

CHEST
Dumbbell Chest Press - 30's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Dumbbell Chest Fly - 25's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Incline Dumbbell Chest Press - 30's - 3 sets 10 reps
Pushups - 16 reps (8 on toes, 8 on knees)

BACK
One Arm Row - 35# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 8 reps
Double Arm Row - 20's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Rear Delt Fly - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Supermans - Skipped

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Overhead Press - 12's - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 12 reps
Single Arm Lateral Raise - 8# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Single Arm Rear Delt Raise - 10# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Scarecrows - Skipped due to running out of time.

ETA: I forgot, I also did Core 1. Love that ab workout!

This morning I did Turbo Fire Low Hiit 20, X Train Bis, Tris, and Core 2, and finished with Chalean's Piyo Strength Legs with the gliding discs.
 
Today I did my version of Cardio Coach #2 and had a really good workout. My knee is feeling much better, thank God! My right one still hurts but it's not bad. I can at least deal with it. I just need to be careful with what I do.

Workout was 38 minutes total, ran 2.25 miles and burned about 337 calories.
 
Today I did Chalean Piyo Drench which is 48 minutes. I like these workouts. They can be quite challenging for being pilates and yoga based. There is very little long holds in the poses. Most of them move fairly quickly. I also like that they threw in Turbo Fire Hiit Low 20. Now that my wrist is better I am enjoying them more. I had a terrible headache in the middle of the night and was up quite a lot. It took a bit to get started but once I was moving I quite enjoyed the workout. That is all I did.

Debbie, I am glad that you knees are better. I think it helps me keep the pain away if I switch up the workouts more often so I am not repeatedly stressing the knees in the same way. Also plenty of recovery time. I need to keep that in my head. The slide and glide jacks turned quite painful last week. But, this after doing Intensity step the day before. I really didn't think that it would hurt like it did but I think I twisted the knee a bit and that knee does not respond to well to quick pivots and turns. I keep hoping it rights itself eventually. I was completely pain free for awhile but I think I pushed my limits. I have been on the fence on getting Beachbody's Tai Cheng and incorporating it in some.
 
Today I did Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and had a great workout. I went a bit lower from last time because my left elbow has been bothering me again. What is up with the left side of my body? I don't get it. Now it's my elbow. :rolleyes:

Dumbbell Curls - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 14 reps
Simultaneous Rotational Curls - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Concentration Curls - 20# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Hammer Curl Double Arm Crazy 8's - 12's - 24 reps

TRICEPS
Tricep Pushups - 3 sets
Lying Tricep Extensions - 12's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 11 reps
One Arm Kickbacks - 10# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Dumbbell Overhead Tricep Extension w/Tube - Did about 10 reps, these burn

Diane Sue - Be careful. I know how those workouts can really aggitate the knee. Although since you've had surgery, I'm surprised you still have pain.
 
Today I did X Train Burn Sets Chest and Back. We had a wedding to go to this morning and a lot going on. I ordered Tai Cheng as part of my birthday presents. The review here helped me decide I wanted it REVIEW: Tai Cheng - Dysfunctional Parrot
I was on the fence. My husband went through my Amazon wish list and ordered everything :D

Debbie, I thought my knee would continue to mend and I would be back in action. The surgeon said I could come in and get another injection if it bothered me but I won't do that. Besides right now he is 2 hours away. Sometimes I don't notice it at all but I am finding I have to be really careful with it. I guess it helps me protect the good knee as well. I do have arthritis in it as well so I am sure that does not help things. I take an anti inflammatory product from Melaleuca and glucosamine chondroitin. Also a bone builder product with calcium, d and k2.

Roselyn, I like Piyo a lot. It is yoga and pilates type of moves that have very little long holds. You hit core a lot and there are variations on plank type moves. I am not sorry that I purchased it. I got the two other workouts with it that use the gliding discs. One is total body and one is lower body.

Diane Sue - That is a shame about your knee. I was really hoping you'd be pain free by now.
 
Today I did Cathe's X 10 Low Impact 31 minutes, X Train Burn Sets shoulders, 14 minutes, and Piyo Buns 28 minutes. I should have Tai Cheng tomorrow. I will be staying next week at my other daughter's house and taking the children to school so I think that along with Piyo will be good choices. Also I will be able to use their pool.

Debbie, it has been a little frustrating dealing with the leg. I am learning to work with it though.
 
Today I did Zero to Sixty pre-mix zero to 40 light weight, Piyo hardcore on the floor, and X train bonus delts, 90 minutes total.

Today I did Cathe's Lean legs and Abs followed by Tai Cheng day 1 week , Neural Reeboot and Standing Stances 29 minutes and also Tai Cheng bonus dvd Alignment for Better Living 17 minutes, I found it interesting how he had you put the band around the knees and stood in the bent knee posture to help get a feel for not turning the knees inward while squatting.

Roselyn, I use Paleo Pro ancient cacao for my chocolate protein powder and Myofusion Elite Protein in Vanilla which is a whey protein. I have been trying to cut back on dairy and soy. I make protein shakes when I feel I have not had enough protein for the day. Also I have recipes for bars and snacks that I use them in. OMG That's Paleo has some great Double Chocolate Energy Bites that I love and the whole family chows down on. Much better than most of the protein and energy bars you buy.
